Abstract

Noncommunicable disease (NCDs) is a disease that cannot be diagnosed with certainty if the patient has no symptoms and complaints, where most of the deaths worldwide are caused by NCDs. Health promotion should be given to cadres in order to increase the knowledge and attitudes of Pabelan Village health professionals towards the prevention of NCDs. This community service aims to increase the knowledge and attitudes of health cadres in preventing NCDs. Program carried out in the form of health promotion and blood pressure check skills education. The results of the program showed an increase in the knowledge and attitudes of cadres after being given health promotion, and an increase in skills related to checking blood pressure.

Abstract

The negative impact that can arise with the increase in the population of Papua and limited land for jobs in rural areas, and the use of natural resources that have not been maximized is the occurrence of unemployment. The existence of abundant coconut plants in the Sabron Sari Village, Jayapura Regency, has vast natural potential. However, the reality is that it has not been appropriately utilized so far, especially as an energy source. This community service aims to utilize coconut sap into bioethanol as an alternative fuel to replace kerosene. The method used in this program is socialization and training on the benefits and potential of coconut plants as an alternative fuel source, the process of making bioethanol, and its use on stoves. The results obtained from this program show that the people of Sabron Sari village have a new perspective on the potential of coconut plants and can have excellent skills and abilities in producing household-scale bioethanol from coconut sap.

Abstract

The purpose of this community service is to foster harmony by forming a 'Religious Harmony Awareness Village'. The method used in this program refers to the Joint Ministerial Regulations Number 8 and 9 of 2006, namely (1) providing social assistance and socializing worship regulations; (2) forming a forum for communication of interfaith leaders; (3) socialization and understanding and implementation of PBM and harmony among interfaith communities; (4) certify waqf land and land for interfaith houses of worship; (5) implementing interfaith harmony and mutual cooperation through the house renovation program, and (6) facilitating the issuance of permits to construct houses of worship. The results of this program include an increase in indicators of inter-religious harmony such as tolerance, mutual respect, and kinship in community life in Poncokresno Village. Apart from that, a mosque was also built, 4 houses were renovated, and a building construction certificate (IMB) was issued for the church.

Abstract

Cost management is essential for the Fatih Photocopy business because daily data collection on raw materials and supplies is conducted. The primary goal of this community service is to impart knowledge about cost management and how to implement cost management formats and digital promotions for the Fatih Photocopy business. The program involves training and hands-on practice. The outcome of this program is an improved understanding of cost management formats among partners, enabling them to generate cost reports and enhance their digital promotion skills by maximizing the potential of social media.

Abstract

The city of Depok supports the capital city of Indonesia and experiences rapid population growth. As the population grows, the need for clean water becomes a significant concern in the area. According to data collected from 12 water samples in Cilodong District, Depok, all of them were found to be acidic and unsuitable for drinking. This community service initiative aims to provide the public with knowledge about techniques for building septic tanks that comply with regulations. Additionally, the public is educated on how to determine the characteristics of groundwater suitable for consumption. Counseling sessions were conducted at the Meruyung Village Office in Limo District, Depok City, and were attended by 26 Meruyung Village residents. The results of the program demonstrated an increase in public understanding of groundwater quality, rising from 74.5% to 89.5%.

Abstract

Child delinquency often leads to criminal behavior. Students involved in this case in juvenile law are known as Children in Conflict with the Law (ABH). Based on BPHN data for the 2020-2022 period, the number of ABH is 2,338 people. The three types of crimes that are mostly committed by children are theft, narcotics, and abuse. The purpose of this program is to provide legal counseling so that students understand which actions fall into the category of violations of criminal law, the types of legal sanctions, and the length of time the sentence has been served. The methods used are lectures, education and discussion. The results obtained from this program are students are able to understand what actions are included in criminal law violations. In addition, students are encouraged to strengthen their character by being brave in rejecting bad friends' invitations, being careful in choosing friends, not playing late into the night, and not being easily provoked.

Abstract

The community in Kalirejo Village is still not fully optimizing the utilization of household waste, both inorganic and organic waste, which can support the success of the Sustainable Food Home Area (KRPL) program. This program aims to enhance understanding, abilities, and good practices in waste utilization within households. The program is implemented through several stages, including training, mentoring, socialization, and monitoring. The results show that people have gained an understanding of basic techniques for simple hydroponic cultivation using a wick system. Furthermore, individuals are capable of producing Bokashi fertilizer from organic waste and are knowledgeable about the methods for creating pokak drinks using onion skin waste, along with understanding the associated health benefits.

Abstract

Digital literacy includes not only the ability to find and share information, but also the skills to create digital content. These activities aim to improve the creativity and build content on social media. As a response to this phenomenon, a school collaboration program was conducted at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Muntilan. The program included a socialization and training on social media content. The socialization discussed the basic concepts of content on social media, including content selection, consistency, and timing. The results of these activities are the improvement of digital content creativity and 20 videos of school’s profile created by students of SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Muntilan.

Abstract

The residents of Ngasem Village already possess knowledge about the importance of Family Medicinal Plants (TOGA). However, they are not yet familiar with the benefits and methods of processing these medicinal plants. KWT Berkah Tani 2, located in Ngasem Village, Colomadu District, Karanganyar Regency, Central Java, has a large yard that remains underutilized, presenting the potential for planting TOGA. Therefore, the objective of this community service initiative is to educate the members of KWT Berkah Tani 2 about family medicinal plants, covering everything from planting to their health benefits. The program was carried out in six stages, including pre-testing, initial socialization, TOGA planting, simple processing of traditional medicinal products, post-testing, maintenance activities, and supervision. Ten types of medicinal plants were cultivated on a 700m2 area. The TOGA education program successfully increased participants' knowledge of basic TOGA concepts by 50%. Furthermore, there was a 20% rise in the number of participants who planted TOGA in their yards, and a 61.5% increase in knowledge regarding the health benefits of TOGA.

Abstract

This community service was conducted in Saptorenggo Village, Pakis District, Malang Regency. This program aims to increase digital marketing promotion through Google Business and business legality for MSMEs in Saptorenggo Village, Pakis District, Malang Regency. Participatory rural appraisal, which requires an active involvement of the community, is a model applied in this program. The implementation begins with mapping MSMEs in Saptorenggo Village that can become partners, and from the results of this mapping, the potential and needs of these MSMEs are known. Then, digital marketing was carried out for these MSMEs by creating a Google business point to increase the marketing reach of MSMEs in Saptorenggo Village and strengthen business legality for 9 MSMEs in Saptorenggo Village with the help of obtaining NIB, PIRT and halal certificates.
