Abstract

Background: Health services provided to patients should be integrated so as to ensure patient safety. The paradigm of health services is currently undergoing a change where it no longer prioritizes one profession as the core of service but instead requires the integration of various professions in providing health services. Patient-centered care (PCC) is a patient-focused service that can be carried out through interprofessional communication. The purpose of this service activity is to increase knowledge and optimize the competence of health workers to increase PCC through the implementation of interprofessional communication. Methods: The dedication method used in this activity is through a webinar using the Zoom meeting application. One of the private hospitals in Bali is a partner in this activity. This service activity consists of three stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. Results: The results of the activity show that health workers are able to carry out interprofessional communication and improve PCC as an integrated health service. Conclusion: Health workers are able to carry out interprofessional communication in improving PCC as an integrated health service. The community service process went according to plan and all health workers involved played an active role during the activities. It is hoped that health workers will always be able to apply interprofessional communication to improve PCC.

Abstract

Background: Premarital sexual behavior is very common in adolescents and young adults. Their lack of knowledge is one of the causes of this happening. The negative consequences caused by this premarital sexual behavior make various prevention efforts necessary. As an effort towards this, the researchers launched the 3P (Peal, Prepare, Protect) program for Duta Generasi Berencana Kota Bukittinggi 2023. The reason to choose Duta Generasi Berencana (GenRe) as a participant is because they are icons and role models for adolescents, and later they can provide insights to adolescents about premarital sex behavior as part of their duties. Methods: The method in this service is to provide psychoeducation as a workshop about premarital sexual behavior. The analysis in the study was carried out by comparing the data before and after the intervention. Results: The result of this program showed that there was an increase in knowledge of Duta Genre Bukittinggi 2023 based on the result of a statistical test (sig. 0,000). Conclusion: In order to increase knowledge about premarital sexual behavior and to raise awareness of the negative consequences, the 3P program has been done for Duta Generasi Berencana Kota Bukittinggi 2023. It is hoped that this program will continue to be implemented so that it can be as effective as possible in preventing cases of premarital sex.

Abstract

Background: Anemia is a priority health problem for adolescents with a prevalence of 17% in Bukittinggi City in 2023, the highest case at the Rasimah Ahmad Health Center at 28.5%. Government programs, namely the provision of iron tablets and the existence of school health units, have not optimally reduced the prevalence of anaemia in adolescents. The iron content of moringa leaves increases haemoglobin. The formation of SHU ARH officers to prevent anaemia and training in processing moringa leaves aims to be an innovation in the School Health Service programme to serve reproductive health problems in overcoming anaemia to prevent the impact of non-compliance with iron tablet consumption. Methods: Collaboration partners are SMPN 03 Bukittinggi City and Rasimah Ahmad Health Center Bukittinggi City from June to September 2024. We collect data through interviews, observations, and documentation. Five methods are used: socialization, preliminary studies and advocacy; formation and training of the SHU ARH Task Force for adolescents; providing education, mentoring and providing processed moringa leaves; and evaluating the sustainability of the SHU ARH. Results: the achievement of the target: 1) The formation of the SHU ARH consisting of 18 people; 2) Of the 87 young women, 79% have high knowledge of anaemia and the benefits of processed moringa leaves, 78% apply processed moringa leaves at home, and cases of anaemia decreased by 20.66%. Abstract

Background: Dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) is a significant and growing global public health challenge in subtropical regions, affecting millions of people worldwide. Ovitrap is an innovation aimed at effectively controlling mosquito populations and reducing the risk of diseases like DHF. The ovitrap training aims to enhance public understanding of dengue vector control and to develop skills in effectively using ovitraps to prevent the spread of disease. Methods: The activity began with an explanation and determination of the schedule in collaboration with partners. The implementation included a pre-test, the delivery of materials on mosquito vector control and ovitrap techniques, demonstrations, participant practice, and was concluded with a post-test to evaluate understanding. Results: The increase in the average knowledge score of participants from 7.86 to 9.00 after the activity was supported by the results of the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank test with a significance value (p-value) of 0.006 (p<0.05) which means there is a significant difference between the average knowledge before and after the activity. Conclusion: The training on ovitrap techniques for DHF control succeeded in improving the community's understanding and skills in managing the risk of DHF disease spread. The community is advised to routinely use ovitraps to control mosquito populations and be accompanied by maintaining environmental hygiene.
