Abstract

Fear of missing out (FoMO) is the behavior of actively accessing social media, continuous access that disturbs the subject, causing feelings of laziness, delays in scheduled activities and concerns about not knowing interesting events that other people are doing. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of fear of missing out (FoMO) in adolescent social media users and the extent to which cognitive restructuring technique group counseling is effective in reducing fear of missing out (FoMO) in adolescent social media users. This type of research is quantitative with an experimental method and uses a one group pretest posttest research design. The population in this study was 77 adolescents with research samples taken using purposive sampling techniques from the results of the pretest treatment, namely 8 people. Furthermore, for data collection techniques, researchers used questionnaires and data analysis techniques were carried out through the Wilcoxon test. The results showed that there was a decrease in the posttest score (high and medium categories with a mean value of 57.5) compared to the pretest results (high and medium categories with a mean value of 75.12). From the data analysis using the Wilcoxon test, it shows that the Zscore value <0.05 with a Zscore value of -2.533, so it can be concluded that group counseling with cognitive restructuring techniques is effective in reducing fear of missing out in adolescents who use social media.

This study examines the effect of gratitude and self-esteem on psychological help-seeking behavior in vocational high school students in Boja District, Kendal Regency. The population of this study was 2,504 students, and with the cluster sampling method and the calculation of the Isaac and Michael formula, 333 students were selected as the research sample. The method used in this study is a quantitative approach of correlational design with multiple regression analysis. The study results obtained an f-test score of 74.383 with a sig of 000, meaning H1 is accepted. Gratitude and self-esteem simultaneously affect 31.1% of psychological help-seeking behavior and have a significant and positive relationship. So, it can be interpreted that the higher the level of gratitude and self-esteem in students, the higher the level of help-seeking behavior.

Abstract

Having the status as a former drug addict who has served his sentence and rehabilitation, it seems that he faces two biggest challenges when returning to society, namely negative stigma and relapse. When facing the challenges of life in society, the ability to renew oneself is needed which is related to spirituality and resilience. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between spirituality and resilience in former drug addicts. The method used was quantitative with a correlational design. A total of 55 former drug addicts became participants using incidental sampling techniques. The research measurement used a spirituality scale (? = 0.855) and a resilience scale (? = 0.930). The results showed that there was a significant positive relationship between spirituality and resilience in former drug addicts (r = 0.903 and sig. = 0.000; p <0.01). Spirituality made a strong contribution to the resilience of former drug addicts by 81.5%. (r²). This indicates that spirituality is one of the triggering factors for former drug addicts to be resilient, which includes connectedness with oneself, connectedness with other people or nature, and connectedness with transcendental powers.

Abstract

Self-harm behavior has become a significant mental health problem among adolescents. This study aimed to examine the relationship between peer conformity and self-harm tendencies in school students. A descriptive correlational quantitative research method was used involving 234 tenth and eleventh grade students. Data were collected using a peer conformity scale and a self-harm scale that had been tested for validity and reliability. Non-parametric correlation analysis showed a negative relationship between the two variables. Students who self-harmed less tended to have higher levels of conformity. This finding indicates that peer conformity can be a protective factor against self-harm behavior. However, excessive conformity can also have a negative impact if group norms are unhealthy. Further research is recommended to investigate the influence of peer pressure on self-harm and develop more comprehensive interventions to prevent this behavior.
