Abstract

This study develops and validates a contextually grounded Integrative Learning model that effectively bridges global multicultural education frameworks with Indonesian local wisdom to enhance cultural sensitivity among junior high school students. in Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara. The research addresses the gap between multicultural education theory and practical implementation in diverse cultural contexts. Using Research and Development (R&D) methodology, this study encompasses three phases: preliminary study, development, and testing. Data were collected through observations, interviews, documentation, and questionnaires involving teachers and students from six schools in West Lombok. The preliminary findings indicate that current social studies instruction lacks integration of local cultural values and multicultural perspectives. The developed model incorporates Sasak local wisdom and employs Fogarty's curriculum integration framework, utilizing multiple integration patterns including connected, nested, sequenced, shared, and webbed approaches. Validation by experts and field testing demonstrate the model's feasibility. Pre-experimental design with one-group pretest-posttest was employed to measure effectiveness across three implementation sites: SMPN X (n=28), SMPN Y (n=26), and SMPN Z (n=31). Statistical analysis revealed significant improvements at all sites with paired samples t-tests showing p-values of 0.020, <0.001, and 0.010 respectively. Normalized Gain (N-Gain) analysis yielded consistent "Medium Gain" results with mean scores of 0.5120, 0.5030, and 0.4980. This research contributes to social studies pedagogy by providing a contextually relevant model that bridges global competencies with local cultural preservation, demonstrating scalability and readiness for broader implementation in transforming how cultural sensitivity is cultivated in Indonesian educational settings.

Abstract

This study aims to explore how village governments can build agile and adaptive capacity in public service delivery. The study of agile governance at the village government level is an underexplored area. As the spearhead of public service delivery for the community, village governments have a strategic responsibility and position to transform macro policies into targeted service outputs, ensuring that the basic needs of local communities are met in a targeted and sustainable manner. Using a qualitative approach conducted from 2022 to 2024 in nine village governments in East Java, this study explores variations in public service practices and governance dynamics. The findings reveal three distinct patterns of agile governance implementation-digital, conventional, and hybrid-suggesting that agility is driven not only by technology adoption but also by the interaction between flexible service processes, adaptive human resources, and context-based service strategies. This research contributes to the literature by demonstrating that agile governance in resource-constrained village contexts emerges through socially embedded and context-driven adaptive practices, expanding existing perspectives that primarily emphasize the digital and structural dimensions. The conceptual framework of agile governance for village governments in this study provides insights into how these dimensions dynamically interact to improve public service delivery.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of tax system digitalization on the tax compliance of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Grounded in the integration of the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB), this research analyzes how perceived accessibility, system reliability, data security, and ease of use influence compliance behavior. A quantitative explanatory design was employed using survey data collected from 332 MSME taxpayers who had utilized digital tax services (e-Filing, e-Billing, and DGT Online) for at least one year. Data were analyzed using simple linear regression. The results indicate that tax system digitalization has a positive and statistically significant effect on MSME tax compliance (β = 0.628; p < 0.001). The coefficient of determination (R² = 0.394) shows that 39.4% of the variance in tax compliance is explained by the digitalization variable. These findings suggest that improvements in digital accessibility, system reliability, and user support strengthen compliance behavior among MSMEs. The study contributes theoretically by empirically validating the integrated TAM–TPB framework in the context of digital tax compliance and provides practical implications for policymakers seeking to enhance fiscal inclusion through digital transformation initiatives.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of fintech lending collaboration, as a proxy for digitalization, and the effectiveness of cyber risk management on the financial performance of banks. This quantitative research uses panel data from 40 commercial banks in Indonesia over the 2019-2023 period. The analysis was conducted using Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) with Return on Assets (ROA) as a dependent variable. The results show that: (1) fintech lending collaboration increases ROA by an average of 1.2 percentage points; (2) a one-unit increase in cyber risk management effectiveness (measured using a maturity index on a scale of 1–5) has a significant positive impact on ROA of 0.4 percentage points; and (3) the interaction between the two variables shows a positive and significant moderating effect (interaction coefficient of 0.15), indicating that banks with more mature cyber risk management are able to maximize the positive impact of fintech collaboration by up to 30%. These findings confirm that the competitive advantage of banking digitalization relies heavily on an effective cyber resilience foundation. The implication is that investment in cyber risk governance is not merely a defensive necessity, but also a critical moderating factor that enhances the strategic value of fintech innovation. While the findings are robust, this study acknowledges limitations related to disclosure-based measurement of cyber risk management, which may not fully capture actual cybersecurity effectiveness, as well as potential endogeneity issues inherent in panel data analysis. Robustness checks were conducted to ensure the consistency of the results.

Abstract

Existing developmental state scholarship explains how states promote strategic industries through selective intervention, coordination, and upgrading support. However, it pays less attention to how these approaches are adapted when industrial transformation centers on green industries that must simultaneously achieve competitiveness, sustainability, and global market integration. This study examines how Vietnam has structured state support for electric mobility through VinFast. It employs a qualitative desk review of policy and legal documents, incentive frameworks, and corporate and international reports published between 2016 and 2024, using systematic screening, triangulation, and thematic coding aligned with the New Developmental State Model framework. The findings show that Vietnam has framed electric mobility through integrated objectives combining domestic manufacturing expansion, export orientation, and green transition targets, while positioning VinFast as the lead firm responsible for achieving scale and competitiveness. The government has implemented a comprehensive intervention package that reduces investment risk and stimulates demand, including corporate tax incentives in strategic economic zones, import-duty exemptions for components, consumer-side tax and fee reductions for battery electric vehicles, and protective measures for domestic assemblers. Spatial industrial policy and supplier development initiatives further support localization goals. This case contributes to the developmental state literature by demonstrating how contemporary state-led industrial strategies can be organized around green industries. At the same time, it highlights a key governance tension: rapid, firm-centered scaling does not necessarily translate into broader industrial capability development.

Abstract

Teaching readiness is a fundamental competency that prospective Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers must develop before entering the professional teaching environment. In addition to pedagogical and content mastery, teaching readiness is influenced by internal factors, particularly learning motivation. This study aims to examine the relationship between learning motivation and teaching readiness among prospective PAI teachers in the Islamic Religious Education Study Program at the State Islamic University (UIN) of Mataram. A quantitative correlational research design was employed involving 40 pre-service PAI teachers selected through total sampling. Data were collected using validated and reliable questionnaires measuring learning motivation and teaching readiness. The data were analyzed through descriptive statistics and Pearson product-moment correlation. The findings indicate that both learning motivation and teaching readiness of prospective PAI teachers are categorized as high. Furthermore, the correlation analysis revealed a positive and significant relationship between learning motivation and teaching readiness (r = 0.63; p < 0.05), demonstrating that higher learning motivation is associated with greater readiness to perform teaching responsibilities. These results suggest that learning motivation serves as an important internal factor in strengthening the professional preparedness of future teachers. Therefore, teacher education programs should prioritize strategies to enhance student motivation as part of efforts to improve teaching readiness. Theoretically, this study contributes empirical evidence to the discourse on teacher education by reinforcing the role of motivational factors in shaping teaching readiness, particularly within the context of Islamic teacher education.
