Penerbitan jurnal ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan wawasan pembaca serta sebagai sumber literasi pada teori dan praktik pendidikan dasar keislaman. Jurnal ini menerbitkan artikel orisinil pada tren dan isu-isu terkini terkait dengan pendidikan dasar keislaman khususnya di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah/sederajat yang meliputi : Pembelajaran Berisikan hasil penelitian mengenai pembelajaran yang dilaksanakan di pendidikan dasar keislaman. Kami merekomendasikan kajian yang meliputi perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi pembalajaran yang dikaji dari beberapa sudut pandang meliputi psikologis, sosial, kognitif, afektif, dan kultural. Isu dan tren terkini Berisikan hasil penelitian yang membahas mengenai isu dan tren global terkini yang mengimplikasi dunia pendidikan dasar keislaman khususnya tingkat Madrasah Ibtidaiyah/sederajat. Tenaga pendidik pendidikan dasar Berisikan hasil penelitian yang membahas tentang profesionalisme seorang tenaga pendidik yang meliputi : persiapan, kinerja, pengembangan, karir, dan permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh tenaga pendidik pada pendidikan dasar keislaman. Kebijakan dan kurikulum pendidikan dasar Berisikan hasil penelitian yang membahas tentang penerapan, efek dan pengaruh, pro dan kontra, serta evaluasi dari kebijakan dan kurikulum pendidikan dasar yang dikeluarkan oleh pemerintah dan mengimplikasi pendidikan dasar keislaman khususnya di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah/sederajat. Manajemen pendidikan dasar Berisikan hasil penelitian yang membahas tentang manajemen pendidikan dasar keislaman. Kajian tentang ruang lingkup ini cukup luas, meliputi : manajemen institusi berbasis sekolah, manajemen kurikulum pendidikan, manajemen kesiswaan, manajemen sdm dan kepegawaian, manajemen keuangan sekolah, manajemen sarpras sekolah, kepemimpinan, serta manajemen input/output peserta didik.

Abstract

This study focuses on mapping the self-potential of elementary and Islamic elementary school students (SD/MI) in Banjarnegara. Recognizing students' potential is important to help them develop interests, talents, and abilities, which positively impact their motivation to learn and self-confidence. The aim of this study is to explore the strategies used by teachers in mapping students' potential and to identify the challenges encountered in this process. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through interviews, observations, and documentation at three schools: SD N 4 Pucungbedug, SD 4 Muhammadiyah Banjarnegara, and MI Cokroaminoto Kesenet. The findings show that teachers use various methods, such as direct observation, interviews, talent tests, home visit and grade analysis to identify students' potential. In activities focused on potential development, teachers engage students in extracurricular activities and competitions that match their abilities. However, challenges include limited time, a lack of teacher training and communication issues with parents.

Abstract

Language skills include four basic skills, namely listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. One of the main language skills for communication is speaking skills. And one of the speaking abilities is telling stories. So that learning media is needed that can make children confident to tell stories in front of the class, one of which is by using hand puppet media. So researchers need to conduct research related to the benefits of hand puppet media as well as the problems and solutions of using hand puppet media to increase confidence in telling stories about onions and garlic in Indonesian for class IV SDN Rayung 03 Senori. This study uses a qualitative approach using descriptive methods. The results of this study indicate that: (1) the use of hand puppet media at SDN Rayung 03 Senori has been going quite well and according to the steps in its application. The steps in using the hand puppet media include the planning stage, namely the teacher prepares material and media, the next stage is the implementation of the teacher giving examples of the use of hand puppet media, then students take turns practicing, and the last stage students review the contents of the story that has been practiced. The results obtained show that the activities during the learning process after using the hand puppet media in storytelling activities have increased compared to before using the hand puppet media from an average of 61.2 to 78.4, (2) the problem that occurs is the lack of time needed as well as the lack of appreciation of some students in storytelling practice. The solution offered is asking students to read and understand the material at home, as well as providing rewards for students who really practice telling stories

Abstract

The current generation cannot be separated from the use of technology in their daily routines. Several research results show that excessive use of smartphones can have various impacts on health. However, some of them also prove that there is no relationship between a person's nutritional status and the smartphone usage intensity. This research aims to explore the random effect size of smartphone usage intensity on the nutritional status of Indonesian students in terms of educational level using sample of 1679 students. The research design uses meta-analysis. Data sources were taken from 16 Local indonesian studies published in the last six years with filters used including: Correlational research, accessed from Google Scholar, research subjects were students at primary/junior/high school/university levels. The research results showed that there was a significant random effect size correlation between the smartphone usage intensity and nutritional status which was categorized as low effect size (r=0.181; p-value <0.001). This proves that the smartphone usage intensity is very weakly correlated with students' nutritional status. Thus, the higher educational level, also has higher level of significance about the correlation between smartphone usage intensity and the student's nutritional status. We hope that these results can help us understand that smartphone use must be done wisely and according to needs.

Abstract

This study focuses on evaluating the effectiveness of the Card Sort learning model on students' academic achievement at Karangmojo Elementary School. The research design employed a quantitative approach, involving 20 students as the sample, measured before (pretest) and after (posttest) the implementation of the Card Sort model. Data analysis was conducted in two stages: a normality test using the Kolmogorov–Smirnov method, followed by a paired sample t-test. The normality test results indicated that both the pretest (Asymp. Sig. 0.200) and posttest (Asymp. Sig. 0.194) scores were normally distributed (p > 0.05), thus meeting the assumptions for parametric testing. Descriptively, there was an increase in the average score from the pretest (60.30) to the posttest (67.40). The paired sample correlation analysis indicated a significant positive relationship between the pretest and posttest scores (r = 0.539, p = 0.014). However, the paired sample t-test showed that the difference in mean scores between the pretest and posttest was not statistically significant (t = −1.834, df = 19, p = 0.082). Although there was an increase in scores, the lack of statistical significance (p > 0.05) suggests that the Card Sort learning model did not significantly improve student achievement at Karangmojo Elementary School in this study.

Abstract

Bullying in the school environment is always a serious and urgent issue that must be addressed immediately because of its dangerous and far-reaching impacts. This study investigates bullying cases at MI Al-Musthofawiyah Palang Tuban. It focuses on data from students, teachers, and homeroom teachers. Information was collected through in-depth interviews and observations. The data analysis technique used in this study was the interactive analysis model by Miles & Huberman. This model involves data reduction, display, conclusion, and verification. This article explains the results of the study in more detail. The results include the forms of bullying, its causes, its impacts, ways to prevent it, and solutions for bullying cases at MI Al-Musthofawiyah Palang. Research like this needs to be done again, but on a larger scale. For example, we need to look at different types of students' backgrounds, genders, and educational levels. Also, we need to identify more cases of cyberbullying at the elementary education level. It's also very important for psychologists, health professionals, and the government to work together. The role of religious leaders and the use of social media in the digital age are also highly recommended to prevent bullying cases.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the functions and roles of the curriculum at MI Al-Fattah, which emphasizes the holistic development of students. The background of this research is based on the importance of the curriculum as the foundation of learning that supports self-adjustment, social integration, differentiation, preparation for further education, freedom to choose interests, and a diagnostic function for developing students’ potential. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. The analysis technique uses the Miles and Huberman model, which includes the stages of data reduction, data presentation, as well as conclusion drawing and verification. The results show that the curriculum at MI Al-Fattah operates optimally in carrying out its six main functions, which are relevant to the goals of Islamic elementary education. The implementation of the curriculum supports the formation of adaptive, critical students who are ready to continue their education to higher levels. This study recommends strengthening the role of teachers, synergy with parents, and learning innovations to further optimize the functions and roles of the curriculum in the future.

Abstract

This study investigates the role of teachers in developing students' critical thinking skills in IPAS (Natural and Social Sciences) subject, specifically on animal body parts, for third-grade students at MI Bahrul Ulum through the Discovery Learning method. The background highlights the crucial role of teachers in fostering critical thinking from an early age, especially in the 21st-century learning context. The research aims to explore the teacher's role, the implementation of Discovery Learning, and the challenges faced. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through observation, interviews with the headmaster and third-grade teacher, and documentation. The findings indicate that teachers act as effective facilitators, mentors, and motivators, actively engaging students in exploratory and reflective learning processes. The systematic application of Discovery Learning stages (stimulation, problem statement, data collection, data processing, verification, and generalization) significantly improved students' critical thinking indicators, such as problem identification, observation explanation, and conclusion drawing. Despite challenges like time constraints and varied student readiness, teachers demonstrated adaptive strategies to ensure meaningful learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the challenges and innovations in Fiqh learning at MI Tahfidz Annur Genaharjo within the framework of implementing the Merdeka Curriculum. This curriculum emphasizes contextual, differentiated, and project-based learning. However, in its implementation, teachers face various obstacles such as limited digital literacy, minimal technical training, and lack of supporting facilities. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection techniques through semi-structured interviews and analyzed using thematic analysis methods. The results of the study show that teachers have developed various innovations such as blended learning, utilization of digital media (Kahoot, YouTube, Canva), and the application of differentiated learning according to students' learning styles. Despite facing challenges, teachers are able to create adaptive and contextual Fiqh learning. This study emphasizes the importance of improving teacher competence and strengthening system support so that Fiqh learning is in accordance with the spirit of the Merdeka Curriculum

Abstract

Inclusive education represents a paradigm that emphasizes the right of every child to access equitable and quality learning regardless of physical, intellectual, social, emotional, or linguistic differences. Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (Islamic elementary schools) play a significant role in realizing inclusive education; however, the implementation remains inconsistent with national policy frameworks. This study aims to analyze key challenges and formulate evidence-based strategies to strengthen inclusive education practices within Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. The study employs a systematic-constructive literature review by analyzing academic publications, national and international policy reports, and case studies of inclusive madrasahs published between 2021 and 2025. Thematic analysis was conducted on five major aspects: policy implementation, teacher capacity, infrastructure, funding, and socio-cultural factors. The findings reveal that the main barriers to implementing inclusive education in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah include: (1) the gap between normative policy and operational practice; (2) limited teacher competence and lack of support personnel; (3) inadequate infrastructure and accessibility; (4) persistent social stigma toward children with special needs; and (5) insufficient funding and institutional incentives. Strengthening strategies include developing technical implementation guidelines, continuous professional development programs using micro-credential systems, establishing Inclusive Madrasah Teams, and integrating Islamic values as ethical and cultural foundations for inclusive practice. This study concludes that the success of inclusive education in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah depends on the harmonization of policy, teacher competency, community engagement, and Islamic spiritual values as the moral basis for educational equity. The findings contribute to policy formulation and practical models of inclusive Islamic education that are contextually relevant to Indonesia’s socio-religious landscape.
