Abstract

a food can be said to be halal or haram not only seen from the basic ingredients, but broader than that, it needs to be seen from additional ingredients, processing, production processes, packaging, distribution, storage to the final consumer ‘end-user’. Therefore, the supply chain is an approach that is in accordance with the indicators of food that can be said to be halal. This research aims to describe the concept of Halal Supply Chain for chicken and beef commodities whose management model can have implications for the management of productive zakat funds. In addition, designing a website-based technology system for halal beef and chicken supply chains The research approach used in this research is a qualitative approach using data collection methods of interviews, observation, and documentation, after the data is collected, the data is processed using the system development life cycle (SDLC) method. The system development life cycle (SDLC) consists of 6 stages, namely planning (planning), analysis (analysis), design (design), development (development), testing or implementation (testing & integration), and the last is maintenance (maintenance). The results obtained from this study define the concept of halal supply chain for chicken and beef commodities as a series of processes from upstream to downstream that apply halal principles in every process. Researchers designed a technological breakthrough in a series of halal supply chain processes packaged in a container called a website/application. The use of the website is expected to facilitate every process carried out by stake holders or business actors involved in the halal supply chain. Some of the menus displayed on the website include: Breeders, Abattoirs, Traders, Buyers / Consumers, Halal MUI, Livestock Service Office, Indonesian Consumers Foundation

Abstract

This research compiles a pattern of determining the priority of mustahik or zakat recipients applied in the East Java Nahdhatul Ulama zakat institution using indicators from the maqasid syariah index. The meaning of the mustahik priority scale is still multi-interpreted, there is no standardised measure and standard set. As a result, in some areas there are mustahiks who do not receive zakat distribution, and on the other hand, one mustahik gets assistance by two zakat institutions. Another crucial problem is the inequality of recipients of zakat funds that are uneven and not need-based. This is where there needs to be a standard concept, as practised by Lazisnu East Java. This research is qualitative in nature by taking primary data from interviews with amil zakat and mustahik as recipients of zakat. The research findings show that basically the determination of mustahik in Lazisnu East Java is based on the provisions of the Qur'an. Only in the asnaf fii sabilillah is interpreted with students, teaching staff and those who seek knowledge and preach Islam. The priority scale of the eight asnaf is determined based on the needs of the asnaf for zakat assistance both consumptively and productively. The basis of needs is based on the territoriality of the asnaf, not across regions. However, in the productive aspect, the most prioritised asnaf are asnaf who can develop zakat funds. In the perspective of maqasid sharia index, the basis of need in determining the priority scale is in accordance with the sharia hierarchy that prioritises dhururi, rather than tahsiniyah

Abstract

waqf is actually one of the Islamic financial instruments that has a strategic role in improving the social and economic welfare of the community. Traditionally, waqf is known as a form of permanent donation, but the concept of muaqqat waqf (temporary waqf) has also become part of the discussion of Islamic jurisprudence. The purpose of this study is to examine in more depth the reconstruction of the concept of waqf muaqqat from the perspective of the Hanafi school of thought and its implementation and relevance in the modern era. The method used by the researcher is a qualitative method based on literature studies with data sources obtained from fiqh books, academic literature, and waqf regulations, journal books and other credible sources. The results of this study indicate that the Hanafi school of thought allows temporary waqf where this is a solution for sustainable waqf asset management. Furthermore, the researcher also provides research recommendations in the form of the need for regulations that are able to accommodate and support Islamic financial institutions in an effort to achieve optimal implementation of waqf muaqqat in the context of Islamic economics.

Abstract

the implementation of infaq, sedekah and waqf crowdfunding in the perspective of Maqāṣid sharia, especially in the digital era, has now experienced an increase in reach and transparency so that it becomes an innovative fundraising model in the context of Islam. The purpose of this study is to explore the relevance of Maqāsid sharia, especially in maintaining religion (ḥifẓ al-dīn), soul (ḥifẓ al-nafs), reason (ḥifẓ al-'aql), descendants (ḥifẓ al-nasl) and property (ḥifẓ al-māl) as a guideline in formulating a more effective, efficient, and equitable management model for infaq, sedekah and waqf crowdfunding and to explore more deeply the mafsadat and mudharat of maqashid sharia in infaq, sedekah and waqf crowdfunding. This study uses a library method by analyzing various relevant literature sources. The results of the study indicate that when crowdfunding infaq, sedekah and waqf is carried out in accordance with the principles of maqāṣid sharia, it can become an innovative and sustainable model in managing social funds. In addition, when there is misappropriation in the management process, it will trigger mafsadat and mudharat which will result in failure to realize the welfare of the community. The author's recommendation based on this study is to improve the system with a basis of transparency, regulation, and education based on maqāṣid sharia. In addition, solid collaboration between the government, platforms, and Islamic financial institutions is very necessary in order to encourage the realization of a sustainable ecosystem

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the factors influencing the use of Zakat crowdfunding platforms for paying Zakat through digital applications, addressing the challenge of low public adoption of digital Zakat payment methods. A quantitative approach using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) was employed. The sample consisted of 100 respondents drawn from the population of digital Zakat users in [sebutkan lokasi atau komunitas, misal: Indonesia]. The results indicate that convenience (X1), security (X2), and credibility (X4) have a positive and significant effect on platform usage, while transparency (X3) shows a positive but insignificant effect. Among these variables, security exhibits the strongest influence on usage, particularly through the indicator of data protection. These findings suggest that enhancing platform security could substantially increase user adoption of Zakat crowdfunding platforms

Abstract

This study explores the social phenomenon of paying zakat fitrah twice a year, especially among children from divorced families. The study was conducted in Sumenep Regency, Madura. The main issue addressed is the legal validity of double zakat fitrah payments according to the perspectives of Islamic jurists specialising in economic fiqh The research method employed was a literature review using a descriptive-analytical approach to both classical and contemporary literature. The researcher examined the views of the four main schools of Islamic jurisprudence  as well as Yusuf alQaradawi and Wahbah Zuhaili. Data was collected through interviews with residents of Gersik Putih Village to understand the social phenomenon. The research findings indicate that all fiqh schools agree that zakat fitrah is only obligatory to be paid once a year. If zakat is paid more than once on behalf of one individual, the second payment is considered as charity. The phenomenon of double zakat fitrah for children from divorced families is caused by three main reasons: lack of community understanding of zakat law; parents' desire to contribute equally without clear coordination; and lack of socialisation. This study recommends the importance of education on zakat law and strengthening the role of religious leaders in socialising fiqh zakat to the community.

Abstract

This study examines the concepts of zakat, infaq, and shadaqah (ZIS) in the Qur'ān through Toshihiko Izutsu’s semantic approach and Syed Muhammad Naquib al-Attas’s Islamic worldview paradigm. Unlike previous research focusing solely on lexical meanings, this study aims to address the gap in understanding how ZIS functions beyond mere terminology, as practical instruments for spiritual purification, social welfare, and economic justice within the Islamic value system. Motivated by the global challenges of sustainable development and social inequality, the research explores how Islamic charitable concepts can contribute to contemporary development goals. The primary objective is to trace the semantic transformation of these terms from their pre-Qur’ānic roots to their post-Qur’ānic developments, and to interpret their actualization as spiritual, social, and economic instruments aligned with key sustainable development priorities. This study employs a qualitative-descriptive method with textual content analysis of classical Qur’anic exegesis, Arabic lexicography, and relevant global development documents. Findings reveal that zakat signifies purification and growth, infaq represents conscious and value-driven expenditure, and shadaqah reflects sincerity and spiritual truthfulness. Together, these concepts contribute to poverty alleviation, promotion of social justice, and strengthening of community cohesion. The integration of semantic and Islamic worldview approaches demonstrates that ZIS is not merely a financial obligation but an integral component of the Islamic epistemic framework, uniting linguistic, spiritual, and sociological dimensions. This study affirms the relevance of ZIS as an instrument for sustainable development and offers a novel methodological contribution to Islamic studies that is both contextual and transformative.

Abstract

This study analyses the implementation of electronic zakat payments (E-Zakat) from the perspective of compliance with the three features of maq>as}id shariah. The use of E-Zakat raises crucial issues related to accuracy and transparency. This requires in-depth study to balance the intentions of muzakki with shariah principles. This study is qualitative in nature, using descriptive data analysis. The primary sources related to the implementation of E-Zakat were obtained directly from interviews with the director and finance department of BAZNAS Surabaya, while the main data for analysis were taken from arguments based on the maq>as}id shariah. The research findings show that the implementation of E-Zakat is based on the principles of transparency, email delivery, and religious promotion. The concept of transparency integrates the principles of maq>as}id shariah, which consist of hifd al-maal, hifdz al-diin, and hifdz an-nafs. The preservation of wealth is achieved by protecting the identity of zakat givers, distributing funds productively, and reporting regularly; the preservation of religion is represented through spiritual messages; while the preservation of life is integrated by ensuring the allocation of zakat funds to priority recipients to strengthen humanity.
