Abstract

Development Of An Islamic Group Guidance Model Based On KBS (Knowledge Based Society). This research aimed to develop a model for Islamic group guidance based on the KBS (Knowledge Based Society) program. This model has significant potential for effectiveness and maximum results. The subjects were fifth-year Islamic Guidance and Counseling students. The research method used was quantitative research, with data collection aided by questionnaires, interviews, and observations. The pre-test results showed that there were 6 students with an average score of 76.16. After being given group guidance, the 6 students were asked to complete the post-test and the average result was 108.83. Based on the results of the paired sample t-test analysis, it can be obtained that the calculated t is greater than the t table, namely 37.041> 2.571 and Sig. (2 tailed) = 0.000 < 0.05, then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. So it can be concluded that the Islamic group guidance model based on KBS (Knowledge Based Society) is proven to be effective. The characteristics of the KBS (Knowledge Based Society) approach in Islamic group guidance lie in the activity stage which presents the concept of a social order which places the mastery, creation, processing and utilization of knowledge and information technology (ICT) as the main drivers of economic, social and cultural growth. Keywords: Group Guidance, Islamic Group Guidance, Knowledge-Based Society

Abstract

The Application of Creative-Contextual Classical Guidance in Improving Children's English Literacy in Marginalized Communities. This study aims to explore the application of the classical guidance method to improve English language comprehension among children in the marginalized community of Argopuro. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data collection was conducted through participant observation of the learning process and in-depth interviews with BKI Kreatif tutors and local residents to understand the learning dynamics of the subjects. Data analysis was conducted inductively through data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that classical guidance is effective in improving English language skills when creatively designed through a playful learning method that suits the children's collective character. Despite limited facilities, the use of the surrounding environment as a contextual learning medium was able to maintain student focus and enthusiasm. The implications of this study emphasize that the group guidance approach in marginalized areas requires methodological flexibility and emotional involvement of tutors. Recommendations for future researchers include the need to develop learning media based on recycled materials (low-cost media) to overcome facility barriers. The government and related institutions are expected to replicate this guidance model to accelerate equitable access to non-formal education for children in socially vulnerable areas. Keywords: Classical Guidance, English, Marginalized Communities, Participant Observation, Contextual Education.

Abstract

Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) Experimentation in Reducing Students' Academic Anxiety. This study aims to test the effectiveness of individual counseling with a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approach in reducing academic anxiety in eleventh-grade students at SMK Muhammadiyah Jember. Using a true experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group design, this study involved 60 students (N=60) selected through purposive sampling technique based on the criteria of high academic anxiety scores. Subjects were randomly divided into an experimental group (n=30) who received six sessions of CBT intervention, and a control group (n=30) who were on the waitlist (waitlist control group). The intervention process focused on identifying cognitive distortions related to vocational demands, restructuring negative thoughts, and self-regulation training. Data were analyzed using an independent sample t-test. The results of the statistical test showed a very strong significant difference between the two groups (t = -23.86, p < .001), where the experimental group at SMK Muhammadiyah Jember showed a drastic decrease in academic anxiety compared to the control group. These findings prove that CBT techniques are effective in increasing motivation and concentration in learning through modifying technical mindsets. Practically, these results can be adopted by guidance and counseling teachers in vocational high schools as an evidence-based clinical protocol (evidence-based practice) to address students' psychological barriers in facing the burden of assignments and practical exams. Keywords: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Individual Counseling, Learning Problems, Experiments.
