This study aims to examine the effect of leg length on service accuracy in sepak takraw among male eighth-grade students at SMPN 1 Dompu. The research is grounded in the premise that anthropometric factors, particularly leg length, play a crucial role in supporting the execution of accurate service techniques. A quantitative approach with a comparative design was employed. The sample consisted of 24 students, categorized into two groups based on leg length (≥ or >92.25 cm). Research instruments includedanthropometric measurements and a standardized sepak takraw service accuracy test based on Nurhasan (2020). Data were analyzed using an independent sample t-test, which revealed a statistically significant difference between students with longer legs and those with shorter legs (t-value = 2.518 > t-table = 2.069; p < 0.05). Students with longer legs demonstrated better service accuracy than their shorter-legged counterparts.These findings suggest that leg length is a key physical characteristic to consider in training foundational sepak takraw techniques. This research is expected to contribute to the development of physical education strategies that are tailored to the individual physical profiles of students.

Outdoor physical education plays a vital role not only in enhancing physical fitness and motor skills but also in fostering students’ affective dimensions, particularly in promoting ecological ethics. This study aims to evaluate students’ affective dimension regarding ecological ethics and to analyze the relationship between participation intensity in outdoor activities and the development of ecological attitudes. A quantitative descriptiveevaluative approach was employed with 210 active students from the Physical Education Program at Universitas Pendidikan Mandalika selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a five-point Likert scale questionnaire encompassing four affective indicators: ecological awareness, environmental concern, emotional involvement, and moral responsibility. Findings indicate a generally high level of affective dimension (mean = 4.21), with ecological awareness and moral responsibility as the highest indicators. One-way ANOVA revealed a significant difference across outdoor activities, with hiking having the most substantial impact. The study recommends integrating ecopedagogy into the outdoor PE curriculum and developing a systematic affective evaluation model to foster students’ ecological character.

This study aimed to analyze the effect of training using the Modified Duo Tir tool on improving shooting skills among PELATDA NTB petanque athletes in 2024. A quasiexperimental method with a one-group pretest posttest design was used, involving 9 athletes as research participants. Data were collected using shooting skill tests administered before and after the intervention. The normality test results showed that the data were normally distributed, allowing for the use of a paired sample t-test. The statistical analysis revealed a significant improvement in shooting scores (p = 0.000). These findings indicate that training with the Modified Duo Tir is effective in enhancing shooting accuracy, coordination, and athletes’ concentration. Additionally, the toolsupports more efficient training sessions and technical repetitions. Therefore, it is recommended as an alternative training method in the development of petanque athletic performance.

This study aims to analyze the level of student interest and the influencing internal and external factors in participating in sports extracurricular activities at Madrasah Aliyah in Montong Gamang Village. The research was motivated by the low student participation observed in extracurricular sports, both in terms of attendance and active engagement. A descriptive quantitative approach was employed using a survey method. A total of 90 students were selected from a population of 450 through proportional random sampling. The data collection instrument was a four-point Likert scale questionnaire comprising two main dimensions: internal factors (interest, attention, and activity) and external factors (environment and parental support). The results showed that the average student interest score was 98.71 with a standard deviation of 8.53, with most students categorized as having low (42.2%) or high (41.1%) levels of interest. The mean score for internal factors was 63.12 (SD = 7.42), and for external factors, 35.21 (SD = 6.34). These findings indicate the need for improvement through strategies that enhance intrinsic motivation, foster supportive learning environments, and increase parental involvement. This study provides a novel contribution to the development of sports extracurricular programs in rural-based madrasah settings, which have been underrepresented in the physical education literature.

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the guided reflection strategy in enhancing students’ moral awareness through Physical Education, Sports, and Health (PJOK) learning at MA NWDI Keruak. The research employed a quantitative approach using a pre-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of 30 students from class XI IPS 1, selected through purposive sampling. The main instrumentwas a 25-item Likert scale questionnaire based on five core moral values: honesty, responsibility, cooperation, sportsmanship, and discipline. The results showed a significant increase in students’ moral awareness scores, from a pretest mean of 84.67 to a posttest mean of 101.93. A paired sample t-test revealed a significance level of p = 0.000 (p < 0.05), and the effect size (Cohen’s d) was 1.56, indicating a large effect. Qualitative data from students’ reflective journals and teacher observations supported the quantitative findings. This study contributes a novel perspective on the application of guided reflection strategies grounded in moral values within Islamic-based madrasah settings, which have been underexplored in physical education literature.

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of drill lob and multishuttle training methods on the lob shot accuracy of badminton athletes at PB. Sahabat. The research employed an experimental method with a two-group pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of 20 athletes, divided into two training groups. Data were collected using a forehand overhead lob test, conducted ten times per participant. Data analysis using pairedsample t-test and independent sample t-test revealed that both training methods significantly improved lob shot accuracy, with p-values of 0.000 < 0.05. The drill lob group showed a 23.80% improvement, while the multishuttle group improved by 27.91%. Furthermore, the difference between the two groups was statistically significant (p = 0.003), with the multishuttle method yielding better results. These findings indicate that structured training approaches tailored to technical skill characteristics can significantly enhance athletic performance. This study recommends the multishuttle method as an effective approach for developing lob shot accuracy in youth badminton training.

Coconut water, a natural hydration agent, contains electrolytes and carbohydrates that help accelerate the body's recovery after physical activity. This study aimed to compare the effects of fresh coconut water and bottled coconut water on heart rate recovery in 12 students in the Sports Education Program at the University of Muhammadiyah East Kalimantan, selected based on certain characteristics. Participants were divided into three groups: a control group (mineral water), an experimental group (fresh coconut water), and an experimental group (bottled coconut water). Heart rate was measured at 2, 4, and 6 minutes after a 400-meter run. Analysis using one-way ANOVA and repeated measures ANOVA showed that fresh coconut water significantly accelerated heart rate recovery compared to bottled coconut water. Therefore, fresh coconut water is more effective as a natural hydration for body recovery after physical activity.

This study aims to analyze the effect of weight training on improving the shooting ability of petanque athletes in the West Nusa Tenggara regional training center (Pelatda) in 2024. The study employed a pre-experimental one group pre-test post-test design with a sample of nine athletes selected using total sampling technique. The research instrument was the petanque shooting precision test (Souef, 2015). Data were analyzed using the Shapiro-Wilk normality test and Paired Sample T-Test. The results showed a significant improvement in athletes’ shooting ability after undergoing a weight training program. The mean shooting score increased from 15.00 in the pre-test to 28.55 in the post-test, with an improvement of 13.56 points (p < 0.05). These findings confirm that weight training contributes positively to muscle strengthening, motor coordination, and movement accuracy that support shooting skills. Therefore, integrating weight training into athlete development programs can be considered an effective strategy to enhance petanque performance at the national competition level.

The crescent kick is a high-scoring pencak silat technique requiring rapid lower-limb actions; two commonly used training approaches are ankle-weight (AW) and agility ladder drills (LD), yet comparative evidence in adolescents remains limited. This study examined the effects of AW and LD on crescent-kick frequency and compared their effectiveness. Using a 5-week quasi-experimental pretest–posttest design, twenty male adolescent athletes were equally allocated to AW (n=10) and LD (n=10). The primary outcome was the number of correct crescent kicks in 10 seconds on the dominant side. Analyses employed within-group paired t-tests and between-group independent t-tests (α=0.05). Both groups improved significantly (AW: 14.30±1.34 to 22.50±1.96; Δ=+8.20; t=21.09; p<0.001; LD: 14.50±1.27 to 21.70±1.06; Δ=+7.20; t=24.78; p<0.001). Post-test means did not differ significantly (mean difference 0.80; p=0.275), indicating comparable effectiveness. Coaches may select either approach based on equipment availability, coaching preferences, and periodization phase.

This study investigates the psychological conditions of adolescent girls during menstruation and their impact on participation in physical education lessons. The study involved 30 female students from grade XI at SMAN 2 Praya, selected through purposive sampling. A quantitative descriptive method was used, with a Likert-scale questionnaire (1–5) that measured psychological aspects such as mood changes, stress, and motivation during menstruation. The questionnaire showed strong validity (r-count ≥ 0.361) and high reliability, with Cronbach’s Alpha values of 0.863 for psychological conditions and 0.854 for menstrual phase. The results were analyzed using paired sample t-test and Cohen’s d to measure effect size. The t-test produced a t-count = 3.888, which was greater than the t-table value of 2.110 (p = 0.001), indicating a significant relationship between psychological conditions and participation in physical education. The effect size (Cohen’s d = 1.35) indicated a large practical significance of the relationship. The findings show that emotional fluctuations, stress, and fatigue during menstruation can reduce students' motivation and engagement in physical activities. Physical education teachers are recommended to implement adaptive teaching strategies that consider the psychological well-being of students during menstruation, including offering lighter physical activities and providing emotional support.
