Abstract

The rapid expansion of the digital sharing economy in Indonesia has intensified competition among ride-hailing platforms, making long-term user retention increasingly critical. In this context, this study investigates the critical determinants of Future Intention among users of Gojek, specifically examining the mediating roles of Sustainability and User Satisfaction in the relationship between Economic Benefit and Future Intention. The research provides insights into how the platform can strategically manage its economic success to secure long-term user retention. A quantitative empirical approach was employed, with primary data collected through an online survey disseminated via social media. The target population consisted of ride-hailing users in Indonesia's three largest cities: Jakarta, Surabaya, and Medan. Using purposive and snowball sampling techniques, 497 eligible users who had used the service for at least six months were recruited. The findings confirm that Economic Benefit strongly and positively influences Sustainability and User Satisfaction, both of which significantly drive Future Intention. Mediation analysis reveals that Sustainability exerts a stronger mediating effect than User Satisfaction. Theoretically, sustainability functions as a value-enhancing mechanism transforming short-term economic benefits into long-term loyalty. Practically, platforms should integrate economic efficiencies through a sustainability lens to maintain competitive advantage.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of implementing Self-Regulated Learning (SRL) assisted by the Wadhwani Ignite Learning Management System (LMS) on students’ learning independence in entrepreneurship courses at Universitas Syiah Kuala. A pre-experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest design was employed, involving 72 students enrolled in entrepreneurship courses. Data were collected using a learning independence questionnaire administered before and after the intervention. SRL was implemented over seven meetings using Wadhwani Ignite LMS features, including learning materials, discussion forums, assignments, and online quizzes. Data were analyzed using the N-Gain test to measure improvements in students’ learning independence. The results showed that the average pretest score increased from 64.25 to 82.70 in the posttest, with an N-Gain value of 0.52, categorized as moderate. The improvement was particularly evident in learning independence, self-management, learning motivation, and problem-solving skills. These findings indicate that SRL assisted by Wadhwani Ignite LMS can enhance students’ learning independence and serve as an effective digital learning alternative in entrepreneurship education. The integration of SRL with an entrepreneurship-oriented LMS has implications for designing more effective learning environments that foster autonomous learning and lifelong learning competencies.

Abstract

Business resilience has become a key priority for organizations now that they have to deal with constant turbulence, digital disruptions, and crises. However, prior studies have not been able to cohesively analyze how ambidextrous innovation enhances resilience and more specifically, in what contexts this is more or less the case. This study attempts to address the fragmented research by providing a systematic review of the literature in 20 journal articles. The review identifies four recurrent themes. First, ambidextrous innovation helps to improve business resilience by helping organizations manage both exploratory and exploitative innovation. Second, ambidextrous innovation can act as a mediating capability in the digital, technological, and strategic components of resilience. Third, business resilience can act as a mediating mechanism that helps to transform the various components of ambidextrous innovation into desirable outcomes, such as organizational performance, innovation performance, and quality growth. Lastly, the impact of these relationships is dependent on contextual influence such as turbulence, intensity of digitalization, the level of available knowledge and the available resources. The review also identifies the presence of dynamic capability, cross-sectional studies, and a focus on emerging economies with a direct focus on China and the small and medium sized enterprise (SME) sector. The paper synthesizes the fragmented research and proposes a preliminary framework and research focus to advance the study of resilience in a constructive and context relevant manner.

Abstract

The digital era has significantly transformed business practices and educational approaches. This study aims to identify Gen Z’s business preferences based on their characteristics and examine differences between male and female students to inform entrepreneurship learning. A mixed-method approach with a concurrent nested design was employed, where qualitative data served as the primary source and quantitative data provided complementary analysis. The findings show that Gen Z tends to prefer digital promotional media, non-seasonal products, and customizable offerings, while demonstrating balanced preferences between self-production and reseller models. They also show a stronger tendency toward individual entrepreneurship rather than collaboration. Their motivations include financial, personal, and social aspects, and they evaluate business success based on financial performance, customer relationships, innovation, and growth. Statistical analysis indicates no significant gender differences in business preferences. These findings suggest the importance of designing entrepreneurship learning that accommodates diverse preferences and emphasizes flexibility, innovation, and practical skills aligned with Gen Z characteristics. However, the study is limited to students majoring in economics education, necessitating caution in generalizing the results.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of fear of failure and growth mindset on the courage to start a business among economics students in Makassar, with entrepreneurial self-efficacy as a mediating variable. The study employs an explanatory quantitative approach and uses a cross-sectional survey of 150 purposively selected respondents. Data analysis was performed using SEM-PLS in WarpPLS 8.0. The results showed that a growth mindset had a positive effect on entrepreneurial self-efficacy and the courage to start a business, and entrepreneurial self-efficacy had a positive impact on the courage to start a business. Conversely, fear of failure had no significant effect on either entrepreneurial self-efficacy or the courage to start a business. The mediation test confirmed that entrepreneurial self-efficacy mediates the impact of growth mindset on the courage to start a business, but does not mediate the effect of fear of failure. These findings emphasize the importance of strengthening a growth mindset and self-efficacy to encourage students to take the courage to start a business.

Abstract

The development of the digital economy requires higher education institutions to produce graduates who possess not only technological literacy but also technology-based entrepreneurial orientation (technopreneurship). This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of the team-based project learning model through the Context, Input, Process, and Product (CIPP) evaluation approach. The study employed a quantitative approach using a true experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group design. The sample consisted of 100 students of the Economic Education Study Program at Universitas Negeri Semarang, divided into experimental and control groups with 50 students in each group. Data were collected using a technopreneurship intention questionnaire and a CIPP evaluation instrument that had met validity and reliability requirements. Data analysis was conducted using an independent sample t-test and Cohen’s d effect size with the assistance of IBM SPSS Statistics 26. The findings revealed no significant difference at the pretest stage (sig. = 0.367 > 0.05), but a significant difference was found at the posttest stage (sig. = 0.000 < 0.05), with the experimental group obtaining a higher mean score than the control group. The CIPP evaluation showed that the learning implementation was categorized as good with an average score of 83.2%, while the process component achieved the highest score of 85.6%. The effect size value of 1.01 indicated a strong effect on improving students’ technopreneurship intention. These findings confirm that the integration of team-based project learning and CIPP evaluation is effective in creating contextual, collaborative, and experiential entrepreneurship learning in higher education.

Abstract

The growing fragmentation of marketing communication channels has compelled firms in the airline industry to reassess how social and traditional media affect customer behavior. This study observes which role do marketing communication media play in influencing consumer purchase intentions, with brand trust serving as a key explanatory mechanism. Data were acquired using quantitative approaches, using a structured questionnaire distributed to Tanzanian airline customers. The suggested research model was validated with partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM). The data indicate that both media marketing channels have a significant impact on brand trust and customer purchase intentions. Also, brand trust was found to play a critical role in strengthening the relationship between marketing communication media and purchase intentions. These results suggest that coordinated use of traditional and digital marketing channels can enhance consumer confidence and purchasing decisions in the airline industry. The study contributes to the marketing and entrepreneurship literature by offering concrete proof from a developing market environment, as well as practical recommendations for airline executives looking to increase advertising efficiency and customer trust.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of digital literacy, marketing capabilities, and market orientation on sales performance among clothing traders in the traditional market in Johar Market, Semarang City, with entrepreneurial orientation tested as a moderating variable. Digital transformation creates a new dynamic, shifting consumer shopping preferences. The e-commerce phenomenon threathens existence of traditional markets such as Johar Market as a cultural heritage of Semarang City. This approach used quantitative methods. Data collection by survey methods and distributing questionnaires to 242 respondents based on Krejcie & Morgan's formula. The data analysis method used a structural equation model (SEM), with a partial least squares (PLS) approach through SmartPLS 3.1 software to analyze relationships between latent variables simultaneously. The analysis was conducted on the evaluation of outer and inner models. The findings these study indicate entrepreneurial orientation has a positive effect on sales performance, but does not significantly strengthen the relationship between marketing capabilities and market orientation. Different from previous studies, variables in this study focus on MSMEs in traditional markets that have never been tested in previous research

Abstract

Economic literacy has become increasingly strategic amid ongoing digitalization and macroeconomic uncertainty; however, its research landscape has yet to be comprehensively mapped across themes, actors, and publication channels. Method: This study employs a Scopus-based bibliometric analysis (search conducted on September 26, 2025) using the keyword “economic literacy” in titles, abstracts, and keywords. From an initial 287 records, 259 English-language documents (articles, conference papers, and reviews) were selected through relevance and inclusion–exclusion criteria. Data were analyzed using Excel, Publish or Perish, and VOSviewer to map publication trends, affiliations, sources/journals, countries, and keyword networks (co-authorship, co-citation, co-occurrence, and overlay). Results: Publications have risen sharply since 2016, peaking in 2024, with sustained activity in 2025. The Journal of Economic Education emerged as the leading outlet. Prominent affiliations originate from the United States and Europe, with strong contributions from Indonesia (notably Universitas Negeri Malang and Universitas Negeri Jakarta). The main contributing countries include the United States, Germany, Indonesia, Malaysia, and the United Kingdom. The keyword mapping reveals core clusters centered on economic literacy interlinked with financial literacy, economic education, students, and entrepreneurial intention, along with emerging themes such as digital economy, decision making, and sustainable development. Discussion/Conclusion: Economic literacy has evolved from a peripheral topic to a mainstream, increasingly interdisciplinary field. Recommendations include transparent reporting of network parameters, normalization of citation data across years, expansion of terminology and databases, and strengthening of longitudinal or quasi-experimental designs that link literacy outcomes with actual behavioral measures. Keywords: economic literacy; bibliometrics; Scopus; VOSviewer; publication trends; economic education; digital economy.

Abstract

The increasingly fierce competition in the skincare industry has encouraged companies to utilize brand ambassadors as a marketing strategy to increase consumer purchase intention. However, the effectiveness of brand ambassadors in influencing purchase intention still shows mixed results, particularly regarding the role of brand awareness and brand trust. This study aims to analyze the influence of Brand Ambassadors on Purchase Intention through Brand Awareness and Brand Trust among Whitelab skincare product consumers in Malang City. The study involved 160 prospective Whitelab consumers in Malang City. The findings showed that Brand Ambassador had a positive and significant effect on Purchase Intention, Brand Awareness, and Brand Trust. Brand Awareness did not significantly affect Purchase Intention and did not mediate the relationship between Brand Ambassador and Purchase Intention. In contrast, Brand Trust had a positive and significant effect on Purchase Intention and partially mediated the relationship between Brand Ambassador and Purchase Intention.
