Abstract

Toddlers are a group vulnerable to health problems, especially malnutrition, considering the rapid growth and development phase at this time. Malnutrition in toddlers can have a severe impact on the child's brain development and intelligence and can even result in death. An observational study in Dono Mulyo Village, Way Kanan Regency, Lampung, in May 2024 found three cases of underweight toddlers out of 95 toddlers observed. Handling this problem, including providing additional food, is essential. Community practice activities aim to overcome the problem of underweight toddlers by giving extra food, educating mothers about the importance of balanced nutrition for toddlers, and increasing mothers' knowledge about balanced nutrition for toddlers. The method used is counselling to mothers of toddlers. Activities are carried out in several stages: preparation, implementation of activities, evaluation, and preparation of reports. Knowledge assessment is carried out by giving a pretest before counselling and a posttest after counselling. Apart from that, toddler feeding patterns are measured as a result of changes in attitudes, which is done with the Child Feeding Questionnaire (CFQ). The results of community practice activities show that outreach activities can increase mothers' knowledge about the importance of balanced nutrition for toddlers and demonstrate accuracy in toddler feeding patterns.

Abstract

Chronic kidney disease is a global health problem that affects millions of people worldwide. Chronic renal failure as the final stage of kidney disease, requires comprehensive management, starting from regular hemodialysis to self-care management of the patient at home. Fluid and nutritional management is an important aspect that patients and families must pay attention to. Lack of availability and effectiveness of nutrition and fluid education programs specifically aimed at patient families. Many families of chronic kidney failure patients experience difficulty in adapting and implementing appropriate nutritional recommendations in daily life. This community service aims to provide comprehensive education, which provides relevant and up-to-date information about nutrition and fluids and involves families in an interactive learning process. Community service activities were carried out using direct health education methods for 16 families of patients undergoing hemodialysis. The evaluation method is carried out by filling out a pre-and post-test design knowledge questionnaire. The activity was carried out on May 17 2024 in the hemodialysis treatment room at Hermina Daan Mogot Hospital. The results of community service activities show an increase in knowledge regarding nutritional diet and fluids in the families of patients undergoing hemodialysis. It is hoped that the community service team nurses will then directly assist families regarding nutritional diet and fluids for patients undergoing hemodialysis and then monitor its long-term implementation at home either online or offline.

Abstract

Reproductive health is a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being. It does not merely entail freedom from diseases related to the reproductive system, functions, and processes. Maintaining reproductive health is crucial for adolescents through adopting a healthy lifestyle and consuming vitamins. The age range for adolescents is typically between 10-20 years old, though according to the Indonesian Ministry of Health Regulation Number 25 of 2014, adolescents are defined as those aged 10 to 18 years. Adolescence begins with puberty, marked by physical and physiological changes. Reproductive health education should be introduced early, starting around 2,5-3 years old when children begin to be curious about their bodies. Parental education aims to help children understand reproductive health, emphasising the importance of personal hygiene, especially for adolescent girls. This education focuses on awareness and the importance of reproductive health and equipping children to make informed decisions in various situations. Community service initiatives aim to educate adolescents and improve their knowledge of reproductive health. An outreach activity was conducted on Friday, April 19, 2024, at SMPN 13 Jakarta, reaching 380 respondents directly through educational sessions. Evaluation involved pre-test and post-test questionnaires to measure knowledge levels, with results showing a significant increase in reproductive health knowledge among adolescents. Post-test results indicated high scores for 299 respondents (78.69%).

Indonesia has various tourism potential, ranging from natural tourism, and cultural tourism to artificial tourism. However, some of the potential of the regions in Indonesia is still not maximally developed. Therefore, a Student Organization Capacity Building Program (PPK-ORMAWA) is needed. The Student Organization Capacity Building Program (PPK-ORMAWA) is a community service program in Japan Village through the development of Citrucoffee Village. The existence of this program aims to develop the potential of Japan Village, improve the welfare of the people of Japan Village and re-brand Japan Village which was previously designated as a tourist village. This program applies an implementation method consisting of counselling and training activities aimed at the people of Japan Village and the Japan Tourism Village Group, and finally monitoring and evaluation. Planning and preparation involved coordination with village officials, local communities, and related partners for the desired goals. The tourism village group, youth and local village government enthusiastically participated in carrying out the activities well and permitted the activities we carried out. The results obtained from the Student Organization Capacity Building Program (PPK-ORMAWA) are the creation of CitruCoffee Village tourism, which includes the Balik Cilik Area, Dance Studio and Outbound. The conclusion that can be drawn from this research is that through the Student Organization Capacity Building Program (PPK-ORMAWA), UKM BISMA developed Japan Village into CitruCoffee Village, a child-friendly-based edu-tourism center that utilizes the potential of Japan Village, namely Pamelo Oranges and Coffee. Abstract

The recovery of Bali's tourism post-COVID-19 has shifted the trend from mass tourism to alternative tourism, benefiting tourist villages such as Bedulu Tourist Village. However, promoting the village's potential was hindered by the inactivity of previously used websites and social media. A digital village acceleration program was implemented through the collaboration between the Gianyar Community and Village Empowerment Office and Bedulu Village, alongside Primakara University. This program involved the development of a website and social media to enhance the marketing of Bedulu Tourist Village, running for six months from November 2023 to April 2024. The implementation method included preparation, needs analysis, data collection, website and social media development, and village staff training on website management. As a result, the website is ready to be launched upon hosting funding, and promotional content has been successfully uploaded and reposted by media accounts. Evaluations indicate that Bedulu Village's staff can effectively manage both social media and the website. Thus, this development initiative supports the marketing efforts of Bedulu Tourist Village and demonstrates an improvement in the village staff's technological management skills.

Abstract

The utilization of information technology in the tourism sector has become crucial in promoting and managing tourism potential for local economic growth. This study focuses on the development of a tourism village website for Celuk, a village in Gianyar Regency renowned for its gold and silver crafts centre. The website is designed as part of a digital village acceleration program to broaden the exposure of Celuk Village to both domestic and international tourists. Information about tourist attractions, local activities, craft products, and travel packages will be available on this site. The goal is to create an authentic experience for visitors and simultaneously empower the local economy and social community. In line with the creation of the website, there is also the development of modules and the provision of website management training aimed at the Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDesa) and IT staff of Celuk Village. This initiative is expected to increase village digitalization and support the government in making Indonesian villages more digital. With this innovation, Celuk Village is anticipated to gain greater attention from tourists, ultimately aiding in increasing the income and welfare of the local community.

Abstract

Community Service (KKN) is a form of community service that is realised through collaboration between students and lecturers in implementing the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. The KKN program of the University of Flores (Uniflor) in Ende Tengah District aims to apply academic knowledge to real-life situations, addressing various community problems. This KKN activity involves observation and field research with a focus on improving infrastructure and environmental cleanliness, where students actively participate in several important activities such as clean friday, community service, and open plenary meetings. In the clean friday program, students, together with sub-district employees and interns, clean the office environment, raising public awareness of the importance of cleanliness. In addition, students also help in community service in Paupire and Onekore Villages and contribute to the improvement of public facilities, including making ornaments and trash bins from environmentally friendly materials. These efforts demonstrate students' concern for the environment and the surrounding community, and have a positive impact on improving the aesthetics and cleanliness of the area. This KKN has succeeded in building synergy between students, the government, and the community in realising positive change. Through participation in government and social activities, Uniflor students not only apply theory but also develop a social spirit and cooperation. This program provides valuable experience in character building and student concern for problems in society.
