Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of price and accessibility on visiting intentions and their effect on increasing entrepreneurial actors in Lake Cipondoh. This type of research is descriptive quantitative using the path analysis method. The population of this study consisted of all visitors to Lake Cipondoh, and the number of samples used was 150 respondents. The sampling technique uses accidental sampling. The results of the study show that (1) Price and accessibility have a significant effect on visiting intentions; (2) Interest has a significant effect on increasing the number of entrepreneurs. Research conducted by Nurbaeti et al. (2021) aligns with this research, which shows that parking ticket fees, entrance tickets, and entertainment prices are very cheap and affordable. Therefore, visitors are interested in visiting tourist destinations that are more affordable financially. Paved and concrete roads, many and varied types of public transportation, and clear road signs make visitors interested in coming to tourist destinations. Interest in visiting tourist destinations influences the increased demand for food and beverages, providing business actors with opportunities to establish food and dining stalls in tourist destinations.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of service quality (X1) and brand image (X2) on consumer decisions (Y) choosing Phenom Event Indonesia as the organizer of MICE & Event activities. The method used is a quantitative approach using the t test, F test and the coefficient of determination test (R2). The research data was collected by means of a documentation study and distributing questionnaires to 100 respondents. Based on the t test, it is known that the significant value of variable X1 is 0.616, variable X2 is 0.362. These two results show a positive value, so it can be said that the variable service quality (X1) and brand image (X2) have an effect on the consumer decision variable (Y).From the results of the F test it is shown that the calculated F value > F table, namely 156.806 > 3.09. This shows that service quality (X1) and brand image (X2) simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on consumer decisions (Y).Based on the Coefficient of Determination Test (R2) it is known that the variables of service quality (X1) and brand image (X2) simultaneously influence consumer decisions (Y) by 76.4%. This shows that service quality and brand image have a major influence on consumer decisions to use Phenom event Indonesia services.

Abstract

Many countries already have efforts to accelerate tourism recovery (including the Government of Indonesia). One of the issued policies is facilitating investment in the tourism sector, which is expected to encourage economic growth and create sustainable jobs. This study uses a qualitative desk study approach or literature research to analyze the implications of implementing the golden visa policy to encourage investment development in the tourism sector. Besides, this study elaborates explicitly 3 (three) things: existing policies related to visa applications and the context of tourism investment, benchmarking of golden visa policies in some countries, and strategic policy implications.  Based on the analysis, a comprehensive approach is needed in formulating appropriate and relevant policies to support sustainable tourism investment, manifested in regulations along with adequate and effective implementation supervision. Related to the efforts to attract foreign investors to invest in Indonesia, and referring to the example of the application of the Golden Visa that has been carried out by several countries, existing policies in Indonesia can be added with several requirements in the prerequisite of golden visas aimed, so the goal of national economic development to prevent harmful excesses can be reached.

Abstract

The 4.0 education era has transformed students into learning centers, and information technology is crucial.  On the other hand, tourism vocational tertiary institutions must produce graduates with competencies that meet work demands. Without reducing the practical content in learning, the Blended Learning model is a solution for using technology to achieve this goal. This study aims to analyze the role of the Learning Management System (LMS) in blended learning on perceived technology acceptance, Self-efficacy, and student engagement in student learning satisfaction. Data were collected by surveying 314 LMS users across four Jakarta tourism vocational colleges. Having been analyzed with PLS-SEM, the findings indicate that student satisfaction in blended learning is significantly affected by student perceptions, engagement, and efficacy while using LMS. Informed by these findings, vocational tourism institutions should manage their LMS to improve the overall quality of blended learning and achieve their learning objectives in the era of education 4.0.

Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the impact of job insecurity, workload, and employee work stress due to the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic. The study involved 116 employees of Hotel I.B.S.B., and data were collected using questionnaires, observations, interviews, and literature studies. The method was a multiple regression analysis method. The findings of this study revealed that both job insecurity and workload have a significant and positive impact on employee work stress. This indicates that as job insecurity and workload increase, the work stress experienced by Hotel IBSB employees also rises. The combined effect of job insecurity and workload on work stress accounted for 57.2% of the variation. To address these issues, the hotel management should focus on fostering a comfortable work environment with effective communication to alleviate uncertainties and concerns related to work. Providing workloads that align with each employee's capabilities, assessing stress-causing factors, and implementing preventive measures are crucial to mitigating employee work stress.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the strategy of tourism business actors in Bali's Amed Karangasem area to run their business during a pandemic. Data was obtained by conducting in-depth interviews and distributing questionnaires to tourism business actors. Results of data analysis showed that employers will continue to do the same business by reducing employees. There are also layoffs of employees, salary cuts, and significant discounts to customers to be able to get through the pandemic. Business actors will change their business strategies. Tourism businesses in Amed are faced with financial problems. The most significant financial issues during the pandemic are not being able to pay salaries/wages (66.7%), debt payments (20%), bill costs and other financial problems (13.3%). The implication of this study is to design more resilient business strategies that will help small business owners in the tourism sector in Amed Bali survive future crises. This study’s theoretical implications contribute to our understanding of how small tourism businesses respond to crises and government policies. In contrast, its practical implications offer actionable recommendations to improve the resilience and support for businesses in the Amed region and potentially in similar tourism-dependent areas.

Abstract

Ijen Crater Natural Tourism Park/TWAKI (92 ha) is part of the Ijen Crater Nature Reserve area (2,468 ha) with various kinds of protected biota. In 2016 UNESCO designated Ijen Crater as one of the Biosphere Reserves of 120 countries in the world. All the uniqueness that TWAKI has means that tourist visits to this destination tend to increase significantly, and in the end the carrying capacity of the environment has been exceeded in the last four years. TWAKI is only able to accommodate 165,600 tourists per year based on its area. Therefore, proper management of the TWAKI is needed, to accommodate tourism functions and maintain main function as a nature conservation area, but a lot of funds are needed. Willingness to pay (WTP) tourists are expected as another source of funding outside the government. This study aims to analyze the level of WTP tourists. This research was designed using the Contingent Valuation Method (CVM), which is a survey method to ask tourists about the value or price they give to commodities that have no market value such as environmental goods. The results showed that the average WTP value for foreign tourists was US$ 28 and IDR 25.000 for domestic tourists, so that the economic value of ecotourism and estimated income from ticket sales based on the WTP value were US$ 864.528 or around 12 billion and IDR 3.776.800.000. Both values show values greater than the basic WTP value, which is calculated based on data on the number of tourists. This total value is also greater than the total budget required by TWAKI for maintenance, management and conservation costs.

Abstract

The existence of the Kertalangu Tourism Village as a tourist attraction became increasingly visible when the tourism village received the Nusantara Tourism Village Promotion award in 2022. However, it appeared that the lack of care and maintenance causes damage to tourism support facilities. The results of the pre-survey are that most of the respondents intend to return to Kertalangu Tourism Village with influencing factors, namely the feeling of security and the uniqueness of the tourist village, and 83.33 percent of respondents stated that they get what they want when visiting Kertalangu Tourism Village. Data analysis in this study was the SEM application accompanied by the VAF test on 91 respondents. All variable models in direct hypothesis testing obtain positive Path Coefficient values. In the indirect hypothesis, tourist satisfaction has a positive and significant mediating role in the effect of destination image on revisit intention and the effect of tourist experience on revisit intention.
