Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of group counseling services with assertiveness training techniques in reducing people pleaser behavior in class XI D3 students of SMA Negeri Colomadu. People pleasers are individuals who tend to prioritize the needs of others above themselves, find it difficult to refuse requests, are afraid of being shunned, and often ignore personal happiness in order to gain acceptance and approval from others. The research method used was an experiment with a one group pretest-posttest design. The subjects of this study were 8 class XI D3 students selected by purposive sampling. The instrument used in this study was a questionnaire that measured the level of people pleaser behavior of students before and after being given group guidance with assertiveness training techniques. The data obtained were analyzed using the Wilcoxon test, the sig. value was 0.012 <0.05, so H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted. The results showed that there was a significant decrease in people pleaser behavior of students after participating in group counseling with assertiveness training techniques. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap secara mendalam fenomena overwork yang dialami oleh guru Bimbingan dan Konseling (BK) di SMK Negeri 1 Haurwangi serta dampaknya terhadap kesejahteraan siswa. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, data diperoleh melalui wawancara mendalam dan observasi langsung terhadap guru BK, kepala sekolah, serta lingkungan kerja sekolah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa beban kerja guru BK jauh melampaui rasio ideal, dengan dua guru BK harus menangani lebih dari 900 siswa. Kondisi ini menyebabkan pelayanan konseling tidak optimal dan berpotensi menurunkan kualitas kesejahteraan psikososial siswa. Untuk mengatasi situasi tersebut, guru BK menerapkan sejumlah strategi seperti menjalin kolaborasi dengan wali kelas dan pihak sekolah, manajemen waktu, serta penetapan prioritas layanan. Namun, sebagian strategi masih bersifat adaptif dan belum didukung secara struktural. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa dukungan kelembagaan dan sosial sangat penting dalam menanggulangi overwork, dan strategi pengurangan beban kerja harus menjadi bagian dari kebijakan sekolah untuk menjaga mutu layanan konseling serta kesejahteraan siswa secara menyeluruh.

Abstract

Konsentrasi adalah Kemampuan siswa dalam memusatkan perhatian pada tugas tertentu. Dalam layanan bimbingan kelompok, konsentrasi sangat penting karena berdampak pada ketercapaian tujuan layanan.Penelitian ini penting dilakukan karena realita di sekolah menunjukkan konsentrasi siswa dalam layanan tergolong rendah, ditunjukkan oleh perilaku seperti melamun, berbicara dengan teman, bermain alat tulis, dan kurangnya perhatian terhadap materi layanan. Penelitian ini menerapkan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain pre-test post-test satu kelompok melalui kuesioner skala Likert dan observasi. Pengolahan data dilakukan dengan pengujian normalitas untuk distribusi data dan uji paired sample t-test untuk menguji peningkatan konsentrasi Pra dan pasca perlakuan, dan uji n-gain untuk melihat efektivitas permainan jenga untuk meningkatkan konsentrasi siswa. hasil studi menunjukkan peningkatan konsentrasi siswa yang signifikan setelah diberikan permainan Jenga, dengan Nilai rata-rata N-Gain mencapai 0,60 (60%) dalam kategori sedang, dengan hasil uji t berpasangan thitung 26,209 > ttabel 2,571 dengan signifikansi < 0,05. Kesimpulannya, permainan jenga Layanan bimbingan kelompok efektif dalam meningkatkan fokus belajar siswa.

Abstract

Adolescence is a critical developmental stage characterized by the search for identity and is vulnerable to identity crises. This study aims to examine the Guidance and Counseling (BK) service strategy in dealing with identity crises in grade VII students at SMP Negeri 5 Cimahi. The study used a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, documentation studies, and literature studies. The results of the study showed that the identity crisis experienced by students was characterized by low self-confidence, confusion in determining interests and talents, and a tendency to withdraw from the social environment. BK teachers implemented various service strategies such as orientation services, information services, group guidance, reality counseling, and the use of psychological tests to help students understand themselves and increase self-confidence. In addition, the involvement of parents, subject teachers, and external parties are important supporting factors in handling cases. Despite challenges such as low student self-awareness and negative environmental influences, BK services at SMP Negeri 5 Cimahi are considered effective in helping students face identity crises and build positive self-identities.   Keywords: Identity Crisis, Adolescents, Guidance and Counseling

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas layanan bimbingan klasikal melalui teknik sosiodrama dalam meningkatkan manajemen diri siswa dalam mengatur waktu belajar. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII-7 SMP Negeri 1 Tanjung Morawa yang berjumlah 33 orang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dalam tiga siklus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa melalui teknik sosiodrama, siswa menjadi lebih sadar akan pentingnya pengelolaan waktu dan mampu menerapkan strategi belajar yang lebih terstruktur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang jelas dalam motivasi belajar siswa. Pada tahap pre-test, 54,5% siswa berada dalam kategori motivasi belajar yang rendah. Setelah pelaksanaan Siklus I, persentase tersebut menurun menjadi 21,2%, dan pada Siklus II, angka ini kembali menurun hingga mencapai 0%. Di sisi lain, siswa dengan motivasi belajar tinggi meningkat dari 18,2% pada pre-test menjadi 42,4% di Siklus I, dan mengalami pertumbuhan yang signifikan menjadi 75,8% di Siklus II. Penggunaan teknik sosiodrama terbukti efektif dalam membantu siswa memahami pentingnya manajemen waktu melalui peran dan simulasi situasi nyata, serta meningkatkan kesadaran diri dan rasa tanggung jawab.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to test the effectiveness of group counseling with the REBT approach in reducing anxiety in pencak silat athletes. The method used in this study is a quantitative experiment with a one group pretest posttest design. Based on interviews and observations, there are several pencak silat athletes who experience excessive anxiety. Data collection for this study used a questionnaire. The population in this study were all seventh grade students at Muhammadiyah 1 Seyegan Junior High School. The subjects of this study were taken based on the results of pre-research observations and interviews, so sampling used purposive sampling with data collection using a pencak silat athlete anxiety questionnaire that will be taken from 6 athletes with the highest anxiety. The data analysis technique used a non-parametric test with the Kruskall Wallist test method. The results of this study indicate that group counseling with the REBT approach is effective in reducing anxiety in pencak silat athletes, this is evidenced by the results of the Kruskall Wallist test with a probability value of sig. (2-tailed) 0.004 <0.05. As well as the difference in the average score of the pencak silat athlete anxiety questionnaire of 28.4 from the pretest and posttest results.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the differences in students’ learning independence based on parental parenting styles at SMA Negeri 6 Pandeglang. The background of this research stems from the importance of parenting in shaping children’s character and learning attitudes, especially during adolescence when students are expected to be independent in managing their own learning process. The sample consisted of 88 students from grades X and XI, selected using purposive sampling techniques. Data were collected through questionnaires containing instruments on learning independence and parenting styles, then analyzed using the Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) statistical method. The results showed significant differences in learning independence based on parenting styles, with an F value of 38.28 and a significance level of 0.00 < 0.05. Students with democratic parenting had the highest learning independence, followed by permissive, while the lowest was found in authoritarian parenting. These findings indicate that parenting style significantly influences the development of students’ learning independence. The implications of this study provide a foundation for guidance and counseling services to design programs that support the improvement of students’ learning independence in a structured and sustainable manner.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of group counseling services using the assertive training technique in improving the self-confidence of tenth-grade students at SMA Negeri 6 Pandeglang in the 2025/2026 academic year. Self-confidence is an individual's belief in their ability to face various situations and challenges. This research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method using a nonequivalent control group design. The sample consisted of 20 students divided into experimental and control groups. The experimental group received group counseling treatment using the assertive training technique, while the control group received no treatment. The self-confidence questionnaire used had a reliability coefficient of 0.958. Data were analyzed through normality, homogeneity, and t-tests. The results showed a significance value of Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.000 < 0.05, indicating a significant difference between the experimental and control groups. Therefore, the assertive training technique is effective in improving students’ self-confidence.

Abstract

Learning motivation is the drive from both internal and external sources of students that makes them enthusiastic about learning, striving to achieve achievements, and able to overcome obstacles in the learning process. The research design used in this study is the "One Group Pretest-Posttest Design." This study aims to determine the effect of group guidance strategies using self-management techniques on increasing the learning motivation of eleventh-grade students at SMA Negeri 6 Pandeglang for the 2025/2026 academic year. The population in this study consists of eleventh-grade students at SMA Negeri 6 Pandeglang, sample in this study consisted of 79 students who were given a learning motivation questionnaire; the selected students for the experimental group then received treatment with group guidance using self-management techniques. The data collection technique used was a learning motivation questionnaire prepared by the researcher, while the data analysis technique employed normality tests, homogeneity tests, and T-tests. The research results showed that after the treatment, there was a difference in the average pretest and posttest scores. Hypothesis testing using the T-test results yielded a sig (2-tailed) value of 0.001 < 0.05, which means Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. This proves that there is a significant difference in learning motivation before and after the treatment. Therefore, students' learning motivation increased after being provided with group guidance services using the self-management technique to enhance students' learning motivation. Abstract

This study is motivated by the phenomenon of low self-efficacy among some students at MTsN 10 Agam. Several students demonstrated pessimism, hesitation, low confidence, and a tendency to avoid active participation in learning activities. Self-efficacy defined as the belief in one’s own ability to accomplish tasks is a crucial factor in academic success and is influenced by factors such as mastery experience and verbal persuasion. This research aims to determine the effect of these two variables on students’ self-efficacy. Using a quantitative approach with an associative research design, a sample of 165 students was selected from a population of 281. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using simple and multiple linear regression with SPSS 26. The results showed that mastery experience had a significant effect on self-efficacy, contributing 79.5%, while verbal persuasion contributed 29.9%. Simultaneously, both variables accounted for 80% of the variance in students’ self-efficacy. These findings highlight the importance of successful personal experiences and constructive verbal support in enhancing students' confidence in learning contexts.
