Abstract

This research aims to describe the orienting, implementing, and assessing aspects constructed by music teachers in optimizing AI-powered music creation social media to amplify learning content. This research used a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were collected through focus group discussions (FGDs) and documentation studies. The data analysis technique used the Miles and Huberman model with the stages, 1) data collection, 2) data reduction, 3) data presentation, 4) conclusion drawing/verification. Data validity used triangulation techniques, including source and technical triangulation. The results show that, orientatively, the experience of interacting with technological advances and social dynamics has shaped the respondents' knowledge and understanding, not only on various types and functions, but also in determining the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of the platform. Implementatively, in line with the values of music education, the integration of a platform that amplifies content into learning is used to engage students' creative dimensions where cognitive, affective, and psychomotor are bound to the ethical principles of AI use and aesthetic criteria of music. By assessment, the involvement of peer teachers and students provided an important drive in establishing effectiveness, impact, and support from stakeholders. This study recommends that the development of AI used in creation is a new challenge for music teachers in strengthening the integrity of their professionalism. The utilization of these tools and resources makes it easier for them to be creative in clarifying and emphasizing the elements of musical sound to build effective and valuable learning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of computational thinking and self regulated learning on computer programming problem-solving skills. The research used a quasi-experiment with a factorial design. Research sampling using a purposive sampling technique. The sampling of this study used a purposive sampling technique, namely students of Bumigora University, Indonesia. The data collected were in the form of tests with data analysis techniques using inferential statistics. The results showed the fulfillment of the prerequisite tests of normality and homogeneity with each Sig value obtained > 0,05. The paired sample t-test test in the control and experimental groups obtained each Sig value < 0.05, so it can be concluded that there is a significant difference in student learning outcomes in each control group and experimental group. The independent sample t-test test obtained a Sig value < 0.05, so it can be concluded that there is a significant difference between the computational thinking method and the conventional learning method. The independent sample t-test test obtained a Sig value < 0.05, so it can be concluded that there is a significant difference between high and low self-regulated learning. Factorial ANOVA test obtained Sig value <0.05, so it can be concluded that the interaction between learning methods and self-regulated learning makes a significant difference in the ability to solve computer programming problems. The implications of applying computational thinking methods and developing self-regulated learning skills significantly improved problem-solving skills in computer programming, thus supporting the need to integrate this approach into curricula and teaching strategies.

Abstract

The study aims to develop integrated comic strip learning media for 4C skills in the 21st-century education era for syntax classes. The research approach used a mixed method through the R and D (Research and Development) method and the Borg and Gall model. This research was conducted in the 2023-2024 academic year at the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program, at Jambi University in the even semester. The participants in this study were 2 lecturers teaching the Syntax course, 2 experts (teaching and learning material and curriculum), and 100 students. The data collection consisted of observation, documents, tests, and questionnaires. Data analysis techniques refer to qualitative and quantitative data analysis. In conclusion, the integrated comic strip learning media with 4C skills for syntax classes was considered feasible and effective in improving student learning performance. Digital comic strips had an impact on syntax learning outcomes and built quite significant reading habits. The results of this study have implications for developing a learning media framework involving digital technology.

Abstract

This study aims to develop the search, Solve, Create, and Share (SSCS) Model with information literacy reinforcement to improve students' ability to write explanatory texts. This study used the research and development with the ADDIE model, which involved Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate. This study employs various data collection techniques, including interviews to understand learning issues, questionnaires to identify student needs and assess product validity, and tests to measure writing skills. The instruments used include observation sheets, questionnaires, interview guidelines, and scoring rubrics, all aimed at supporting the development of the instructional model. The results showed that the SSCS model with information literacy succeeded in improving students' skills that had been tested on 85 students in three high schools in Brebes Regency. The results showed that 16% of students received excellent ratings, 80% of students received good ratings, and 4% received fair ratings. Evaluations from teachers and students indicated positive acceptance of the model, although there were certain aspects which required further adjustments. This study provides a strong foundation for implementing the development of this model in the practice of learning to write explanatory texts in senior high schools.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze the description of educators' dedication to the quality of education through use of teaching factories as a way to close the competency gap required by the industrial sector to study at private Islamic vocational schools in Bekasi Regency. The research method used a qualitative descriptive with three-stream analysis of data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions from the results of observations and in-depth interviews with participants including school principals and teachers as heads of the teaching factory program and the Bekasi District Education Office as supervisors of the implementation of the teaching factory program. A tree diagram used to explain the structured flow of the results of observations and in-depth interviews. The findings showed that the dedication of teaching staff at the Bekasi Regency Islamic Private Vocational School in achieving the learning quality of the teaching factory program was still very low. Where it is necessary to encourage school principals and related agencies to be able to innovate learning facilities that are relevant to the industrial world at the same level. Encouragement of compensation and opportunities at the next level of education. Efforts to encourage the teaching factory program to emphasize the importance of learning facilities in schools as a means of industrial practice in the classroom. Other efforts include the rights and obligations in building teacher dedication to achieve competent.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an instrument for teachers’ perceptions of differentiated instruction by adopting Oriondo and Antonio's instrument development model. This study involves three stages of development: instrument planning, pilot testing, and measurement. The respondents involved were 152 subject teachers at the secondary school level. The instrument developed contains differentiated instruction principles: learning environment, quality curriculum, responsive teaching, continuous assessment, and leadership and routines. A combination of the Guttman Scale and Item Response Theory was used to measure teachers' perceptions, which gave significant results. The analysis results show that most instrument items follow the model used, but some items require adjustment. The implication of this study is the importance of developing valid and reliable instruments to measure teachers' perceptions of differentiated instruction. The findings can contribute to improving classroom learning practices and student learning outcomes. Thus, this study provides a strong foundation for the development of teacher professionalism and the overall improvement of education quality.

Abstract

This research aims to produce digital phonology teaching materials using the shadowing technique to improve the pronunciation skills of basic-level Korean BIPA learners. The research method employed Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model, which includes the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Data collection techniques involved needs analysis by interviewing BIPA learners and instructors, then conducting pronunciation tests on Korean BIPA learners to identify pronunciation challenges and specific needs for material development. Based on this analysis, the digital teaching materials were designed and developed, then validated by media experts, material experts, and BIPA practitioners. Data analysis techniques in this research included quantitative and qualitative methods. The result showed that the development of digital phonology teaching materials with shadowing techniques for Korean BIPA learners was effective in improving Indonesian pronunciation skills. The evaluation results showed that this teaching material received a very positive response from teachers and learners, with feasibility test scores of 98% and 94% respectively, as well as expert validation that supported the quality of the teaching material. Thus, this digital teaching material not only meets the expected standards, but also offers concrete solutions to the pronunciation challenges faced by Korean BIPA learners, and is ready to be used to improve the effectiveness of Indonesian pronunciation learning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of perceived entrepreneurial feasibility as a mediator between altruism and college students’ social entrepreneurial intention (SEI). This research used a quantitative approach within a cross-sectional design. The sample for this study comprised 309 people (from a total population of 1.364 people) using proportionate stratified random sampling from several undergraduate programs in the Universitas Sebelas Maret grades of 2020th and 2021st. This research instrument used a questionnaire that was adopted and developed based on previous research instruments. Statistical analysis techniques were used to conduct descriptive, correlational, and mediation tests with path analysis using IBM SPSS Statistics 25 software. The results indicated that altruism has a significant direct effect on perceived entrepreneurial feasibility (β = 0,484; p < 0,001) and SEI (β= 0,310; p < 0,001). Furthermore, the results also revealed that perceived entrepreneurial feasibility plays a vital role with a strong direct effect on SEI (β = 0,523; p = 0,001) while also acting as a partial mediator between altruistic and SEI of college students. Therefore, university policymakers and educators need to integrate the values of altruism into the curriculum to increase perceived entrepreneurial feasibility and SEI among college students.

Abstract

This research aims to develop Augmented Reality learning media for deaf children at the elementary school level in recognizing musical instruments and measuring their effectiveness on learning outcomes. The research method used is research and development (R&D) and uses the Multimedia Development Life Cycle development method. The effectiveness of the media was tested using pretest-posttest. Data analysis techniques use the parametric statistical test. The results of testing by media and content experts concluded that the application was declared suitable for use as a learning medium. From the beta test, it was discovered by 33 deaf students that Augmented Reality learning media was well received. The t-test comparison test shows that there is a difference, which means that the use of Augmented Reality learning media as a medium for introducing musical instruments to deaf students has a positive impact on learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to develop content-differentiated science student worksheets for students of the elementary school teacher education study program, especially on the subject of the human respiratory system, and analyze its effect on student collaboration skills. This research method used research and development with the 4D model (define, design, development, and dissemination). The sample in this study was 142 2nd semester students of elementary school teacher education study program at PGRI University Yogyakarta. The data was taken through student worksheets documentation, score lists, interviews, observations, validation assessment scales, and student collaboration skills questionnaires. The data analysis technique in this study used qualitative descriptive analysis techniques. Based on the research results, the student worksheets products that have been developed meet the validity criteria with an overall average of 97% in the very valid category. The validity and reliability results of the student collaboration skills questionnaire for the student worksheets developed have met the valid and reliable criteria. The results of the student collaboration skills trial given to 142 students on the developed student worksheets were the order of the number of students who always carried out collaboration skills starting from the responsible aspect (79%), the respect aspect (77%), the productive work aspect (71 %), aspects show flexibility (71%), and aspects contribute actively (38%). Meanwhile, the average number of students is 22% of students at a good level in collaborating and 78% of students are very good at collaborating.
