Abstract

The low level of financial literacy among rural communities, particularly in Pamulihan Village, Sumedang Regency, has created challenges in household financial management and increased vulnerability to illegal lending practices. This community service project focused on fostering saving awareness from an early age and raising public caution against illegal loans. The program was conducted by the Community Service Team of Politeknik STIA LAN Bandung, involving early childhood students of PAUD Khairunnisa and their parents as the target group. The method applied was a participatory-educative approach through interactive lectures, group discussions, and quiz-based evaluations to measure participants’ understanding. The results indicate improved knowledge among participants regarding types of savings, saving practices, and characteristics of illegal loans. Furthermore, a collective awareness emerged to start saving regularly and to avoid illegal borrowing, along with the initiation of family saving groups by participants. These findings highlight the beginning of a social transformation toward wiser and more sustainable financial behavior.

Abstract

The inefficient use of electrical energy and office facilities often leads to waste, equipment damage, and potential workplace hazards. This community service program focused on educating employees to use electricity and office facilities in a safe and efficient manner. The objectives were to raise awareness of safety and efficiency, reduce energy consumption and the risk of facility damage, and enhance professionalism in the use of office equipment. The program was implemented through an interactive online workshop via Zoom, consisting of a pre-test, delivery of materials and practical sessions on five key indicators (electrical devices, computers, air conditioners, lighting, and electrical panels), a post-test, and reflective discussions. The results demonstrated a significant improvement in participants’ understanding, as indicated by higher average post-test scores compared to pre-test results. Moreover, participants were able to identify risks of improper electricity use and apply energy-saving strategies. This activity successfully fostered a safer, more efficient, and professional work environment. In the future, further programs are needed to monitor work behavior, strengthen internal policies, and integrate energy-saving technologies to ensure the sustainability of these positive impacts.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to enhance the capacity of farmers in utilizing endophyte fungi as a biostimulant for rice plants through training, assistance, and provision of inoculum. Endophyte fungi are known to stimulate plant growth, increase nutrient absorption, and suppress diseases. The activity partner is the farmers' group 'Bonto Manai' in Saukang village, Sinjai district, which has been relying on chemical fertilizers and pesticides. The implementation methods include socialization, technical training, demonstration plots (demplot) and evaluation through pre-test, post-test, and observation. The results of the activities showed an increase in farmers' knowledge of 78% (average pre-test score of 42 increased to 75 in the post-test). The demonstration plot results showed better rice growth (average plant height of 72 cm) and lower blast disease intensity (8%) compared to the control (18%). This program proves that the use of endophytes can be practically applied by farmers and has the potential to reduce dependence on chemical inputs.

Abstract

Pasca the designation of Tual City as a Cultivation Fisheries Village with sea cucumbers as its commodity by the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries - Republic of Indonesia, all elements of society were moved to strive for sea cucumber cultivation. This is also what the Tual City Vocational High School did for the Teacher Mover by conducting a sea cucumber cultivation workshop. This activity aims to transfer knowledge and technology for cultivating sea cucumbers to the Teacher Mover so that it can be included in the curriculum and then transferred to the students. The methods used in this activity include outreach, field visits and training in making containers cultivation and rearing sea cucumber. From results of the activity, it was found that the trained Teacher Mover had mastered the knowledge and technology of sea cucumber cultivation, starting from making cultivation containers to sea cucumber rearing techniques. In addition, armed with the knowledge and technology they have mastered, the Teacher Mover have included sea cucumber cultivation in their curriculum and made sea cucumber cultivation a material that is practiced by students as well as being a source of income for the school.

Abstract

Producing quality graduates is one of the goals of learning in schools. Therefore, to get the quality of graduates, it is necessary to improve the quality of learning in schools continuously. One way to improve the quality of learning in the classroom is to improve teacher competence. One of the teacher competencies that need to be improved in relation to learning in the classroom is creating learning using creative and innovative learning media. This community service aims to optimize the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology in preparing teaching media for elementary school teachers in Kendal Regency. The lack of ability of elementary school teachers in Kendal Regency, especially at State Elementary School 1 Patukangan in using learning media, makes teachers need to be equipped with knowledge and skills in making learning media. The methods used in this activity include preparation, training, mentoring and evaluation stages. The results obtained from this PKM activity are 90% of elementary school teachers in Kendal district who take part in the workshop have been able to develop learning media that can be used in classroom learning especially related to multimedia with materials that support the development of Artificial Intelligence-based teaching materials.

Abstract

The purpose of this PKM is to increase the interest of SMA 4 teachers in Gowa Regency in developing canva-based learning media and improving skills in developing learning media. The methods carried out in this activity consist of: (a) Training, which is an interactive activity with SMA 4 teachers in Gowa Regency to provide theoretical explanations about learning media, and (b) Practice, giving tasks to teachers to create learning animation video media using the Canva application then asking the trainees to collect media assignments to be given assessments and inputs. The results of the service activity of making learning animation videos using the Canva application for SMA 4 teachers in Gowa Regency were attended by 32 participants consisting of teachers and education staff at SMA Negeri 4 Gowa which is located at Jl. Pendidikan, Malino, Kec. It can be concluded that the service activities have an impact on the participants by increasing the interest of teachers in developing canva-based learning media and improving their skills in developing canva-based learning media.

Abstract

The demand for bottled drinking water continues to increase in line with population growth and rising public awareness of the importance of clean and hygienic water. PPYD Al-Ikhlas Malang, as a pesantren-based educational institution, seeks to develop a bottled water business unit as part of its economic self-sufficiency efforts. This activity aims to implement an automatic cup sealer system to improve production efficiency and product quality. The methods used include literature study, observation, system design, and direct implementation in the production unit. The results show that the use of an automatic cup sealer can increase production capacity by up to 60% compared to the manual method, reduce the risk of contamination, and lower labor costs. Therefore, this system makes a significant contribution to the development of the bottled water business within the pesantren environment.

Abstract

The tempeh business has the potential to grow, given that public consumption of tempeh remains high, but challenges remain in the traditional production process. This community service activity aims to enhance the capacity of household tempeh producers in Cikaret Village, South Bogor, by applying appropriate technology and improving business management. The implementation method was carried out in a participatory manner through several stages, which was activity coordination, procurement of soybean peeling equipment and fermentation rooms, business management counselling, assistance in technology implementation, and evaluation. The results of the activity showed an increase in production process efficiency of up to 50% with the use of soybean peeling and hulling machines. The application room improved the success of fermentation and the quality of tempeh. From a management perspective, the ability of partners to maintain financial records. This activity also raised collective awareness and the emergence of local leaders within the business group. This program demonstrates that the combination of technology and management improvements can strengthen the capacity, efficiency, and independence of small, household-based businesses.

Abstract

The community service activity is motivated by the low utilization of interactive technology in Biology education in schools, particularly in the topic of the processes of transport and exchange of substances in humans. The main focus of this activity is to enhance students' cognitive abilities through the implementation of interactive videos in Biology instruction. The aim of this service is to promote the use of interactive video media to teachers and 11th grade students at State High School 3 Langsa as an effort to transform learning in the digital era. The activity is carried out with a participatory approach through stages of socialization, demonstration of media usage, and evaluation of student understanding. The results of the activity demonstrate an increase in students' enthusiasm for learning, as well as an improvement in the average cognitive test scores following the use of interactive videos. This activity demonstrates that the integration of educational technology in Biology instruction can enhance the effectiveness of learning and reinforce students' understanding of concepts.

Abstract

This training aims to address challenges in Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) analysis by introducing Losari Digital, a GUI-based platform that enables analysis without coding. The activity was conducted online via Zoom Meeting on July 5, 2025, and was attended by 105 participants. The training was divided into two sessions: presentation of basic PLS-SEM concepts and hands-on practice using Losari Digital. The success of the training was evaluated through a feedback survey covering aspects of material, media, and content. The results showed that the training was significantly successful. Participants rated the material as clear, the interaction as good, and the audio-visual media as high quality. The content was considered educational, useful, interesting, and informative. The majority of participants agreed or strongly agreed with the overall quality. These findings confirm that the coding-free approach through Losari Digital effectively bridges theory and practice, while reducing technical barriers in the application of advanced data analysis methods.
