Abstract

Hypovolemic shock in the medical world still ranks fairly high, the cause of this shock is generally caused by loss of intravascular fluid volume, in an emergency with cases of hypovolemic shock the medical staff at the initial stage will carry out the process of applying the ABC principles or handling disorders of the airway, breathing and circulation immediately because this is the main problem there is interference with blood perfusion to the tissues, if this principle has been carried out then fluid resuscitation is carried out to maintain fluid volume in the blood, this study describes the management of fluid resuscitation in emergency patients with hypovolemic shock, fluid resuscitation is carried out with a liquid description in the form of crystalloid fluid and colloid acquisition which aims to maintain fluid volume in the blood, the literature search method is carried out in several journals so that information and data can be used as a comparison of results so that data can be obtained. management of fluid resuscitation in emergency department patients with hypovolemic shock, namely that patients can be treated quickly and accurately and patients can return in a stable condition.

Abstract

Common problems that EFL learners face when writing are lack of vocabulary, limited understanding of grammar, and generating ideas. An alternative teaching strategy that will help them overcome this problem is the Think-Boli-Write (TTW) strategy. The purpose of this study was to confirm whether the use of the TTW strategy combined with audio-visual media had a significant effect on students' descriptive writing skills. This study uses qualitative and quantitative data. Quantitative data was taken from the results of the pretest and posttest for all cycles. Qualitative data will be used to compare the results before and after the study. They were recorded through observation, interviews and questionnaires. Based on the discussion and conclusions, a think-talk-write strategy is recommended to improve writing skills. These results indicate that the TTW strategy combined with audio-visual media improves students' descriptive writing skills; for it to be an effective strategy for English teachers in teaching descriptive writing.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out whether there is relevance to the independent curriculum policy with 21st century education in social studies learning. During the Covid 19 pandemic, learning became less effective due to distance learning (PJJ). That's why there was a learning crisis or commonly known as learning loss and also a learning gap which is commonly referred to as the learning gap. Efforts to overcome this, the Ministry of Education and Culture officially launched a new curriculum, namely the independent curriculum. This independent curriculum has begun to be implemented in schools. In social studies learning in elementary schools in the independent curriculum there is a change, namely the enactment of natural sciences, namely the combination of science and social studies subjects. Education currently requires students to have 21st century competencies, namely communication, creativity and innovation, critical thinking and problem solving, and collaboration. Researchers use qualitative methods in answering problems, this research is also supported by literature studies such as books, scientific articles and sources that can be accounted for. The results of this study state that the independent curriculum in social studies learning in elementary schools is relevant to 21st century education, because it fulfills the principles of 21st century learning and can develop 21st century skills in accordance with the objectives of the independent curriculum, namely forming a profile of Pancasila students

Abstract

Globalization with all its impacts has presented its own challenges to the world of education. These challenges cover all aspects of life with the heaviest being the humanitarian aspect, starting from cultural issues that experience erosion, shifts and changes in values ​​in society or individuals, which will eventually color the way of thinking and human behavior. Therefore, the world of education is required to be able to carry out its conservative mission as the guardian of cultural heritage. Guidance and counseling services are always dealing with and related to human needs and problems, so counseling services must always adapt to these changes in order to remain effective Counseling as a profession that relies more on communication in providing assistance services to overcome problems faced by a person, not only focus on conventional approaches (psychodynamic, behavioristic, and humanistic), but must consider cultural aspects. The main assumption in realizing the effectiveness of guidance and counseling services that are oriented to cultural values ​​is recognizing that there are basic tendencies that we have, as a way of understanding other people's cultures and understanding the limitations of our own culture. Counseling is basically a cultural encounter between counselors and counselees from diverse cultural backgrounds. Cultural orientation and accentuation in guidance and counseling must receive the counselor's attention. Cultural values, especially local culture, are important to apply in the counseling process so that they can give color.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the integration of the use of the STAD type cooperative learning model in social studies learning in order to develop the character of students in high school grades. The research method used is descriptive qualitative by conducting a literature study. The conclusion of this study is that the use of the STAD type of cooperative learning model in social studies learning can improve the characteristics of high-grade elementary school students, especially in the character of gotong royong or the willingness to work together. This happens because the STAD type supports students to actively work in groups that have members with different backgrounds so as to increase empathy, tolerance, and the ability to work together in groups. In addition, social studies in high grades are also sustainable in developing the character of students in the community, including the school environment.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the sign language method in reading and writing the Koran for deaf children in Muslim minority areas in Papua. This type of research is Experimental with Pre-Experimental design, using the One Group Pre-test Posttest Design design model. The sample in this study were 5 people with purposive sampling technique. Methods of data collection using tests, interviews, observation and documentation. Meanwhile, to analyze the data using the normality test Shapiro Wilk Test, test the validity of the content by the lecturer as an expert validator and test the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test hypothesis. The results showed that the value of the pretest was 125 and posttest was 298 and experienced an increase of 138.40% and the results of the hypothesis test were 0.042 <0.05. Based on the results of the explanation above, it shows that the sign language method has an effect on the reading and writing of the Qur'an for deaf children in the Muslim minority area of ​​Papua..

Abstract

The lack of creative thinking skills of the learners in MAN Sebukar are caused by several factors, including the lack of teaching materials that support the formation of creative thinking skills of the learners, and the application of learning model which does not require students to be active in the learning process in accordance with the demands of 2013 curriculum. To solve these problems, it is necessary to develop a teaching material, in the form of worksheet based on research-based learning model to improve learners' creative thinking skills. The purpose of this study was to produce students worksheet -based on Research Based Learning to improve creative thinking skills which are valid, practical and effective to use in learning physics. The design of this study is research and development by using Plomp development model which consists of three phases. The first phase is the preliminary research, in which an front-end analysis, the analysis of learners, and materials analysis related to the problems in physics learning were conducted. The second phase is Prototyping phase, in which students worksheet based on research based learning model was designed on the material of gravity laws of Newton and work energy. The last phase is assessment phase, in which the practicalities and effectiveness of the product were tested. The results of prototyping phase showed that students worksheet based on research based learning model to improve the creative thinking skills of learners is valid by mean of 0.73. For the practicality, the mean of questionnaire responses learners towards the product was 80.26, categorized as very practical; the mean of questionnaire responses of teachers was 97.22, also categorized as very practical. The result of the assessment phase showed that the product met the criteria of effectiveness as the data obtained showed that there was improvement of learners competences: cognitive, affective, psychomotor, as well as creative thinking skills. The mean value of cognitive competence was 80.54; affective competence was 83.93; and psychomotor competence was 83.40. Meanwhile, the mean value of creative thinking skills improvement was average and low in every meeting.

Abstract

Biology learning in the 2013 curriculum provides opportunities for teachers to be able to take advantage of the local potential that exists around the school to be used as teaching materials. Regarding this, only educators or teachers can understand and know the environmental conditions and character of students, so teachers play an important role in innovating learning so that learning objectives are achieved. The purpose of this study is to find out the feasibility of integrated local potential-based LKPD in the 21st century on class X ecosystem material at SMAN 2 West Halmahera. This type of research is research and development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model. ADDIE stands for Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Data collection techniques used in this study were interviews, questionnaires, documentation and instruments. The results showed that the development of LKPD based on local potential integrated 21st century skills in the class X ecosystem material at SMAN 2 West Halmahera with very suitable criteria for use based on the average results on aspects of biological material of 87.98, 21st century learning aspects of 88.08, the integrated learning aspect of local potential is 88.78 and the language aspect is 86.75.

Abstract

This research is to see how supervision can assist teachers in developing their ability to manage the learning process in order to achieve learning objectives. The research design refers to the research design conducted by Kemmis and Taggart. This study describes how a learning technique is applied and how the desired results can be achieved. The spiral model starts from planning, action, observation and reflection, then re-planning for the next cycle. The techniques used include observation, interviews, and documentation. The research objective is to improve teacher performance through the supervision of the principal at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Al-Mujahirin Bitung. The results of the first cycle describe the teacher's performance by 56.9% with a teacher success rate of 30% and an increase in the second cycle of teacher performance by 93.7% with a teacher success rate of 100% or all teachers succeed in this second cycle. Based on the results of the research conducted, it can be said that the use of principal supervision can improve teacher performance at Madrasah Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Al-Mujahirin Bitung.

Abstract

This study uses a quantitative approach while the method used is a survey method. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is an effect of one variable with other variables using regression analysis, both partial regression and multiple regression. The results of hypothesis I conclude that internal control has a significant effect on the performance of elementary school teachers in Malalayang District, Manado City, which is proven to be significant. The coefficient of determination Y is R2 x 100% = 39.9% meaning that 39.9% of the performance of elementary school teachers in Malalayang District, Manado City is determined by internal supervisors. The results of hypothesis II, where the conclusion is that there is a significant influence between work motivation and the performance of elementary school teachers in Malalayang District, Manado City. The value of the correlation coefficient R = 0.508 and the coefficient of determination R Square = 0.244. So the coefficient of determination Y = R2 x 100% = 0.244 x 100% = 24.4% means that 24.4% of the performance of elementary school teachers in Malalayang District, Manado City is determined by the work motivation of elementary school teachers. The result of hypothesis III states that from the summary model data, an R value of 0.735 is obtained with a significance probability value (Fchange = 0.000). Because the significance value of Fchange <0.05, H1 is accepted, meaning that internal control and work motivation are simultaneously and significantly related to the performance of elementary school teachers in Malalayang District, Manado City.
