Abstract

This study looked at how Gowa Regency's population, economic growth, and HDI affected income inequality between 2014 and 2023. Multiple linear regression analysis is the quantitative method employed in this study. The findings show that whereas economic development has no discernible impact on income inequality, the population variable has a positive and considerable impact. On the other hand, Gowa Regency's income disparity is significantly and negatively impacted by the Human Development Index (HDI). To get more thorough and reliable results, future researchers interested in related subjects are urged to increase the sample size and include more variables.

Abstract

Pasanggiri Mojang Jajaka Kabupaten Bandung is a recurring competition organized by the Paguyuban Mojang Jajaka Kabupaten Bandung. Its primary purpose is to select young individuals who can best represent the youth of Bandung Regency. This event also serves as a medium to preserve and embody the organization’s core values, represented by the tagline; Sahate Ngarante Rancage which means One heart, Solidarity, Reliable. These values serve as a guidance for members and candidate roles and responsibilities of Mojang and Jajaka within both organizational and societal context. This study employs a qualitative approach, through observation, interviews, and literature review. Data were analyzed using data triangulation method to enhance the credibility and reliability findings. Interview participants included key stakeholders involved in the Pasanggiri Mojang Jajaka Kabupaten Bandung 2023, such as judges from the Culture Office and Bandung Regency, the Chairperson of the Paguyuban Mojang Jajaka Kabupaten Bandung, committee members of Pasanggiri Mojang Jajaka Kabupaten Bandung, and participants of the Pasanggiri Mojang Jajaka Kabupaten Bandung 2023. Observation data were gathered from social media published information and official event report. Literature review data comes from past research about similar topics. This study highlights the need to ensure the cultural values are truly practiced in youth organization. The findings indicate that the tagline Sahate, Ngarante, Rancage is effective support improvements in training and assessment to strengthen Mojang and Jajaka role as regional tourism ambassador. However, observation indicates a room for improvement in terms of practical execution of the values. A deeper understanding and practical implementation among all members needed to ensure the alignment between values and practice within the organization.

Abstract

This study explores communication barriers at PT. Mantra Garmindo Sakti and their impact on achieving company targets. The focus is on vertical communication (between management and staff) and horizontal communication (between departments). These barriers are found to disrupt coordination, delay decision making, and reduce operational efficiency. Using a qualitative approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews with 15 participants including managers, outlet heads, technicians, and central staff and participatory observation. Thematic analysis revealed that unclear instructions, limited feedback, and fear of upward communication cause delays and task execution errors. Meanwhile, poor coordination between marketing and production teams leads to mismatches between customer demand and product availability. Participant insights highlight late and ambiguous instructions, and the lack of regular meetings across departments. To address these issues, the study recommends clearer communication tools, routine coordination meetings, and the use of Rensis Likert’s Linking Pin theory to strengthen information flow between levels. This research contributes to organizational communication studies by showing how specific internal communication failures affect target achievement in medium-sized service companies

Abstract

Business performance of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) is crucial in reducing poverty rates in a region. This is because business performance is believed to create jobs, increase community income, and drive local economic growth. There are three factors that influence the business performance of MSMEs: product innovation, digitalization or technology utilization, and marketing strategies. The urgency of this research stems from the absence of a business performance model for MSMEs aimed at reducing poverty rates in Langkat Regency. The objectives of this study are to identify the potential and challenges of MSMEs, formulate development strategies for MSMEs, and develop a business performance model based on innovation, digitalization, and marketing strategies to reduce poverty rates. The method used in this study is quantitative with Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis. The results of the analysis are expected to contribute to the development of an effective business performance model for MSMEs in reducing poverty. From the study results, it was found that adjustments are needed to the model design developed in the previous study. Based on primary questionnaire data from 50 MSMEs in Langkat Regency, it was found that the factors influencing MSME business performance in Langkat Regency contribute to reducing poverty rates.

Abstract

Tourism with historical and cultural nuances currently has its own appeal for tourists. Taman Sari Yogyakarta offers a combination of cultural and historical tourism that can create a unique impression for tourists and impact their intention to revisit. However, there is still a research gap regarding the influence of tourism components on revisit intention. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to examine the influence of the 4A tourism components on revisit intention using memorable tourism experience as a mediator. A total of 112 visitors were involved as samples taken by convenience sampling. The data collected were processed and analyzed using path analysis with SPSS 28. The results showed that all 4a components were significant to memorable tourism experiences, although accessibility and ancillary were not significant to revisit intention and memorable tourism experience was also proven to be significant to revisit intention. In addition, ancillary is a variable that has the greatest influence on memorable tourist experiences, and memorable tourist experience is also a variable that has the greatest influence in increasing the intention to revisit tourists at the Taman Sari Yogyakarta tourist attraction.

Abstract

This paper examines how national institutional environments shape the behavior of multinational corporations, with a focus on McDonald’s operations in Indonesia. Using Institutional Theory as the primary analytical framework, the study examines how international businesses react to various institutional pressures, including formal regulations, religious mandates, and informal cultural expectations. Through a qualitative case study approach, the research finds that McDonald's modified its operations to adhere to domestic sourcing regulations, fulfill halal certification standards, and accommodate regional dietary preferences and social norms. These adaptations reflect broader processes of institutional negotiation and legitimacy-building that go beyond market strategy. This research contributes to the literature on institutional theory and public governance by illustrating how deeply embedded regulatory and normative systems in emerging economies shape the strategic and operational choices of multinational firms. The findings offer actionable insight for policymakers aiming to guide foreign business conduct through institutional design, and for companies seeking legitimacy and stability in governance-intensive settings. By showing how public policy instruments and societal expectations interact to form a dynamic institutional environment, the study demonstrates how governments in emerging economies can steer globalization in ways that reinforce national values and development priorities

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of green marketing strategies in influencing consumer interest and purchasing behavior towards electric cars, focusing on media coverage, as exemplified by BBC News. Specifically, it seeks to understand how media portrayals of electric cars through green marketing narratives impact consumer perceptions and preferences in the context of sustainability. The research adopts the Cross Industry Standard Process for Data Mining (CRISP-DM) methodology. The study culminates in noteworthy findings obtained through Toxicity Analysis and Social Network Analysis (SNA). Toxicity Analysis yielded specific numerical values across categories: Toxicity (0.05645, 0.99613), Severe Toxicity (0.00002, 0.00333), Identity Attack (0.00211, 0.35185), Insult (0.03630, 0.99520), Profanity (0.01584, 0.93590), and Threat (0.00279, 0.43515). These metrics signify varying levels of negative sentiment and potentially harmful language within the examined dataset. Concurrently, SNA provided structural insights with a diameter of 6, low density (0.009484), negligible reciprocity (0.000000), modest centralization (0.038160), and high modularity (0.872000). While the network exhibits centralized influence and limited reciprocity, the high modularity suggests distinct communities or clusters. These findings underscore the importance of considering sentiment dynamics and network structure, emphasizing the need for targeted interventions to mitigate toxicity and cultivate healthier communication environments.
