Abstract

The purpose of implementing this training is to produce quality teachers by carrying out training activities on models and learning media in the independent curriculum at SD Muhammadiyah 1 Babat. It is hoped that this training activity can provide knowledge and information to teachers to improve the quality of teaching in the independent curriculum by implementing innovative learning models and media. This makes teachers able to understand innovative learning models for the independent curriculum, able to apply innovative learning models for the independent curriculum, able to understand innovative learning media for the independent curriculum, and able to apply innovative learning media for the independent curriculum. This is a solution to various kinds of learning problems in the independent curriculum. The training targets who will be involved in this activity are all teachers at SD Muhammadiyah 1 Babat. The method that will be used is the training planning stage for grade 1 and 4 teachers by preparing independent curriculum analysis, innovative learning models and media. The second stage is the implementation of training on innovative learning models and media in the independent curriculum. The third stage is evaluation and follow-up to differentiate the results of the pretest and posttest. said to be successful and considered good. The results of community service that have been carried out, namely the success of implementing community service activities, apart from being measured from the components above, can also be seen from participant satisfaction after participating in training activities. The school is very satisfied with the activities provided by the service team because they provide significant benefits, including: increasing knowledge about innovative learning models and media for the Merdeka curriculum. Conclusion: The implementation of community service activities has been carried out well and teachers are able to create innovative learning models and media. The service material is model training and learning media for the independent curriculum at SD Muhammadiyah 1 Babat. Follow up by providing regular monitoring of the implementation of the use of learning models and media. The final stage is publishing scientific work on community service.

Abstract

The low ability of teachers to present digital-based learning makes teachers less than optimal in implementing learning with an independent curriculum. In implementing the independent curriculum, it is emphasized that learning resources are not only in the form of books, but can also use videos, interesting pictures, etc. so that they can increase children's motivation to participate in the learning process. Therefore, this PKM is implemented with the aim of improving teachers' ability to operate IT, especially in creating interesting learning media. The methods used in this PKM are lectures, simulations and workshops. The PKM implementation stage includes the first stage, namely coordinating and analyzing needs, the second stage is socializing Canva learning media, the third stage is training using the Canva application, and the fourth stage is evaluating teacher abilities. The expected result is that this activity can improve teachers' abilities in operating IT and can create interesting learning media. The result of implementing this community service is that there is an increase in teachers' ability to use the Canva application to create interactive and interesting learning media so that they can carry out fun and meaningful learning.

Abstract

The regional economy can improve if existing local potential can be developed optimally. The implementation of this community service is training in skills to make banana flour and then process it into food products that are expected to have economic value. The partner in this program is the Tanjung Agung Village Youth Organization which has 25 members. The results of the implementation of Community Service, of the 25 youth organizations who took part in the training, before the training was carried out, all participants did not know the process of making banana flour and processed banana flour products. However, after the training was carried out, all participants were able to know how to make banana flour and processed banana flour products. The conclusion of this Community Service is that implementation is by external targets where there are changes in skills after training is carried out.

Abstract

The lack of understanding of cocoa farmers regarding cocoa bean processing technology and the absence of process standards for producing quality dry cocoa beans and producing downstream products are problems that need attention. Efforts to overcome the problems faced by residents of Kreb Paloh Village and Capa Paloh Village, Suyo Paloh Village and Siron Village, Paloh Village, Padang Tiji District, Pidie Regency, through PKM activities it is hoped that the community will be able to process cocoa beans which have been directly sold to collectors after harvest. become a product that has high economic value so that it can increase people's income. Methods for carrying out activities include outreach, field observations, training in processing raw material selection, fermentation of cocoa beans in wooden boxes measuring 32 cm long, 32 cm wide and 42 cm high, with a capacity of 40 kg. Wet cocoa beans in each box. Drying and processing of cocoa beans is carried out under direct sunlight to reduce the water content below 7.5%. The production of quality cocoa powder is obtained by roasting and grinding it using a flouring machine. Cocoa powder is used to produce various products ranging from chocolate bars, chocolate cake, chocolate drinks, chocolate candy and chocolate jam. Monitoring and evaluation is used to monitor and evaluate the continued implementation of hygienic and quality cocoa bean fermentation by fostered partners on an ongoing basis after the operation is complete. 95% of target partners have the capacity to produce hygienic and high quality cocoa beans. 90% of target partners can trade various products produced from cocoa beans.

Abstract

Exclusive breastfeeding for the first six months of a baby's life is the gold standard in infant and child feeding recommended by WHO and UNICEF. Breast milk contains the complete nutrition that babies need. Only breastfeeding for infants aged 0-6 months is sufficient for all the nutritional needs of infants. This program aimed to increase mothers' understanding of the importance of exclusive breastfeeding, increase mothers' self-efficacy for breastfeeding, and mothers' readiness to face the breastfeeding process. The program is carried out by providing education, demonstrations, and breastfeeding assistance, as well as evaluation monitoring. The activity was attended by nine third-trimester pregnant women and 11 cadres, all of whom were unemployed. Providing education and training about the importance of breastfeeding for reducing can increase knowledge about exclusive breastfeeding. Breastfeeding self-efficacy was also measured and obtained an average score of 34 out of a total score of 56. The variation in breastfeeding self-efficacy was 4,153, with a minimum score of 34 and a maximum of 39. The results of breastfeeding assistance and evaluation showed that mothers can breastfeed well and only give breast milk to the baby. This program is expected to contribute to increasing breastfeeding coverage to reduce stunting in children.

Abstract

The changing role of teachers as creative and innovative facilitators in solving problems in learning is a challenge for teachers who don't yet have good digital skills. Moreover, it is a challenging problem for the teachers who must dedicate to educate students in non-formal educational institutions that have limited digital learning facilities that support learning, such as the Tutoring Studio in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Students' conditions are very diverse with complex socio-cultural problems. This has implications for the lack of technology integration in learning. Therefore, the aim of the community service activities carried out at the Kampung Baru and Kepong Tutoring Studio is to strengthen the digital literacy of teachers and students through the use of technology in content-differentiated holistic learning. The methods for implementing service activities consist of measuring teacher competency and student abilities, socialization of learning technology, training in the preparation and digitization of electronic learning devices, content-based holistic learning with digital teacher teaching materials, as well as evaluation regarding the impact of activities on the digital literacy abilities of teachers and students. The evaluation results show that there has been an increase in the digital literacy skills of teachers and students after implementing the results of teacher training in student learning. Teachers' ability to apply their functional skills to digital devices can be seen in the preparation of several learning tools such as simple worksheets. Likewise, students already have good technical skills in accessing, understanding, and using information from various digital sources. Beside that, students can also choose important and more critical information when using their smartphones to support their learning process because the teacher's digital teaching materials are presented in a more interesting way.

Abstract

The aim of community service activities by the service team is 1. to build confidence and motivation of young people to take a role in the economy, namely in the field of entrepreneurship. 2. Making partners, especially students from our partner, namely Al-Wahyu Vocational School, in accordance with their vision, namely making them intelligent, skilled, professional and entrepreneurial. The methods used in this activity are: a. Direct observation means that the service member comes directly to the service location to collect data. b. Carrying out community service activities by conducting outreach and training to community service partners. c. Carrying out evaluations and sharing together to produce final results of activities. The results of the activity are that students are motivated to start a business at a young age and are trained in selling products with friendly marketing. Conclusion of the activity: Participants were enthusiastic in preparing themselves for self-employment and entrepreneurship at a young age, starting from financial planning to preparing for business creation. b. The training participants provided a lot of input to the service team so that service activities could be continued and other training programs could be held.

Abstract

One of the most prominent natural resources in Congko Village is agricultural land of around 300.72 hectares, while the area of plantation land managed by the Bulu Mappalasae farmer group reaches 101 hectares consisting of 21 hectares of corn land, 63 hectares of cocoa/cocoa land, and 17 hectares of rice fields. The results of the plantation are unsatisfactory, namely for the cocoa plantation which is only able to produce 500kg/hectare/year. One of the obstacles to the lack of productivity of agricultural products is due to the lack of fertilizer, the amount of fertilizer obtained by farmers averages 600kg / hectare, while the fertilizer needed by farmers averages 1 ton / hectare or a total of 63 tons from a land area of 63 hectares. Apart from agricultural activities, there are also livestock activities owned by the community. With the livestock business, the community can make this a potential area. However, the problem in animal husbandry is that livestock waste/dung increases every day and pollutes the environment because it is not managed properly, but if livestock waste/dung can be managed properly, it can provide great benefits to the community such as biogas management from livestock manure which produces gas and organic fertilizer. The solution to the existing problems is to integrate farming and livestock to make organic fertilizer and apply the technology of making biogas from livestock manure.  To implement the solution, an implementation method was prepared, namely conducting training and mentoring in making organic fertilizer and managing livestock manure into biogas and organic fertilizer using a bidiogester. From the results of processing waste into organic fertilizer, there are organic fertilizer products that are ready to be applied to agricultural land and produce 3 tons of organic fertilizer / month. And the results of managing livestock manure produce 540kg/month of biogas and 2.3 tons/month of organic fertilizer.

Abstract

Community service is an activity with a community empowerment program implemented by lecturers and students of Atma Jaya Catholic University Indonesia. The target partners in this activity are female members of the Bogor Cathedral Church who have limited knowledge as common people about the dangers of disposable sanitary pads for reproductive health as well as the environment and in need of entrepreneurial activities to improve the family economy. The purpose of this activity is to educate women about reproductive health and healthy menstrual cycles as well as empowering the production of safe and environmentally friendly sanitary pads to improve their income. The method used in this activity is education and training as a concrete step in realizing the objectives of this activity and achieving the target in real terms. The results obtained from this activity are increasing the awareness of female partners about the importance of maintaining reproductive health and the women's body and the creation of a website that is in the development stage as an education facility and purchasing the production of cloth sanitary pads.

Abstract

The active role of the laity in catechesis activities is vital in strengthening the ecclesial community. Unfortunately, however, awareness of the laity's contribution and involvement is still minimal in many Church circles. Efforts to empower the laity as catechesis facilitators have great potential to increase their participation in strengthening ecclesial communities. One of the work programs from Preaching the Good Shepherd Parish of Batu Diocese of Malang is this PKM, which aims to empower lay people as catechesis facilitators through intensive training programs. This study involved a participatory training method with a Role-playing model involving participants from the Parish of the Good Shepherd of Stone. The results of this training succeeded in increasing the laity's understanding of their roles and responsibilities in catechesis activities. The participants were able to hone their skills as facilitators and improve their catechetical knowledge and their communication skills. This activity aims to increase people's awareness of their duties and responsibilities in the Five Duties of the Church, especially in preaching. Through this activity, the Good Shepherd Parish of Batu Diocese of Malang can empower lay people as catechesis facilitators through effective training programs, improving their skills, knowledge, and understanding of the role.
