Abstract

Intelligence is a measure of student intelligence, when students have high intelligence, there is good learning. Intelligence in deaf students is very difficult to measure because most of the measuring instruments used use verbal functions, on the other hand many SLB B teachers complain that their students experience academic decline. This happens because most teachers do not know the intelligence of their students so that teachers give treatment with the same portion when learning takes place. The purpose of this study is to provide an overview of the intelligence of deaf students at SLB B Purwokerto. The data collection method used was the saturated sample technique so that 30 participants were obtained. Based on the results of the criterion validity test, it was obtained that r = 0.465 so that the cpm test and the bender-gestalt test were declared valid. The results of the CPM test reliability test (α cronbach = 0.889) on the Bender-Gestalt test (α cronbach = 0.789). The correlation test showed that there was a significant correlation between the cpm test and the bender-gestalt test. In the CPM test, the non-verbal reasoning grade on deaf students is in group IV below average intellectual capacity and students with superior grade I are male.

Abstract

One of the determinants of the quality of a hospital is improved service. Adjustment of actions, behavior, facial expressions of nurses in performing services in the workplace is called Emotional Labor. This will have an impact on the psychological and work environment. However, nurses with certain characteristics will be able to achieve adjustment of actions, behavior, facial expressions while doing work without psychological impact. This study aims to determine the relationship between hardiness and emotional labor for nurses in general inpatient wards. The method used in this research is quantitative. The number of general inpatient nurse population is 114 nurses. The scale trial conducted by 30 nurses was taken from 10 public rooms with the same percentage. The subjects used in this study consisted of 84 nurses. Instruments on the emotional labor scale are arranged based on aspects of Hochschild (2012), totaling 20 items. Meanwhile, on the hardiness scale based on aspects from Stein & Bartone (2020), 18 items were found. Product-moment analysis technique is used to measure the correlation of the two variables. The results of this study showed a significant correlation of 0.000 (<0.05). It means that it can be said that there is a relationship between hardiness and emotional labor for nurses who work in the inpatient room of RSUD dr. Soegiri, Lamongan Regency. This can happen because a good emotional workforce nurse will be able to encourage an increase in the quality of hospital services, but the impact of this emotional workforce will be able to reduce if individuals have resilient characteristics with commitment, control and challenges.

Abstract

Hope of Academic success is an important theoretical framework to guide students' research and practice in the future. One of the factors that influence hopes is self-control. This study aims to determine the relationship between self-control with high school students' Hope of Academic success. The sample amounted to 106 which is located in SMA Al Islam 1 Surakarta. The results of the analysis of research data showed a correlation coefficient of 0.672 with a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05). The results of this correlation can be interpreted that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) that there is a positive relationship between self-control and the expectation of successful high school students' studies can be accepted. The implication of this research is that high school students can apply good self control efforts in order to have hopes of academic success so that the chances of student success in the selection of state universities are high.

Abstract

In 2018, the discourse on creating a psychological test to apply for a driver's license in Indonesia was sounded, but creating the right instrument for a psychological test is not easy. In 2022 scientifically, there is one instrument for the psychological assessment process, but from a psychometric perspective, it still has many weaknesses. Therefore, this research aims to develop a psychological test that meets the elements of good validity and reliability. This study uses the factor analysis method of scale development design. The participants in this study were 323 participants from various cities in Indonesia who voluntarily participated in a series of activities obtained by purposive sampling technique. By testing the content validity with Aiken and construct validity with confirmatory factor analysis, the study found that 24 of the 30 items developed on the Driving Behavior Scale were valid and very reliable. This research implies that the Driving Behavior Scale is suitable as a psychological test for making a driver's license.

Abstract

The implementation of online distance learning creates a new deviant behaviour in higher education students. There are symptoms of student behaviour who negligent in using the internet for purposes that are not related to learning which is known as cyberloafing. Considering the rapid development of technology, the measurement of student cyberloafing behaviour needs to be developed continuously. Thus, this study aims to develop previous scales related to student cyberloafing to stay up to date. Based on literature review that discusses the measurement of student cyberloafing, a 20-item scale form created. The data were collected from 506 undergraduate students at a large university in Jakarta who have online distance learning experiences. Data were analysed using Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) with the JASP program. The results of this study indicate that the student cyberloafing scale model is in accordance with the theory where three dimensions are indicated, namely social purpose cyberloafing, academic cyberloafing, dan gaming purpose cyberloafing. The scale has a good fit model based on CFI, TLI, RMSEA, SRMR and GFI. Keywords: confirmatory factor analysis; cyberloafing; student cyberloafing; student cyberloafing scale
