Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Dhikr Al-Ma'tsurat therapy on mothers who experience Parenting Stress while accompanying their children in Distance Learning (PJJ). The participants of the study were mothers who found 32 people who were obtained by purposive sampling technique. The implementation method applied is a quasi-experimental method with a research model using one group pre-test and post-test. The measuring instrument used is the Gratitude Scale (20 items, = 0.830), and the Parental Stress Scale, (18 items, = 0.855). Participants were given an intervention, namely providing material about the importance of offline dhikr, and reading Al-Ma'tsurat dhikr for 7 consecutive days, morning and evening. The results of the analysis carried out using the non-parametric test (Wilcoxon) Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) version 22 on the Gratitude variable, the Asymp value. Signature. (2-tails) = 0.164. In the Parenting Stress variable, the Asymp value. Signature. (2-tails) = 0.309. Can Key that Asymp. Signature. (2-tailed) > 0.05, so there is no significant difference between the pre-test and post-test scores on the Gratitude variable and Parenting Stress variable. Suggestions for further researchers to pay attention to research subjects specifically.

Abstract

Parental acceptance has an important role in determining successful parenting. Parents who can accept are positively sensitive to their children’s needs and children’s development. In this case, Porter Parental Acceptance Scale (PPAS) was used to measure the degree to which parents may be said to accept their children. This study aims to examine the construct validity of PPAS on 200 parents of autistic children in Indonesia. Data were collected using non-probability sampling techniques and administered through online questionnaires. Data were analyzed using confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). The result show that the model was classified as fit with Chi-Square = 611.33, df = 579, P-Value = 0.17045, RMSEA = 0.017. All items are valid, except item numbers 3, 5, 6, 8, 9, 34, 38. The implication is PPAS can be used to measures parental acceptance levels as indicated by the feelings and behaviors expressed toward their child.

Abstract

This study aims is to provide construct validity information about the psychometric properties of the Nijmeegse Schoolbekwaamheids Test (NST). NST is one of the instruments that is widely used to measure school readiness. The NST has 10 subtests in the form of pictures and stories that were adapted from the Netherlands. This study involved 471 pre-school students aged 4-6 years. This study used IRT to determine the quality of each item, Exploratory Factor Analysis to determine the new factors formed from the 10 available subtests, and Confirmatory Factor Analysis to determine to construct validity. The IRT 3PL model showed that all items in the NST are valid, but it is necessary to review several items, especially in subtest 10. In the EFA factor analysis, 4 new factors were found that measure the level of factor: logic reasoning ability, memory, fine motor skill, and conceptual maturity in children. These are valid and reliable as evidenced by the RMSEA value on the CFA of 0.05 and the reliability value of 0.87.

Abstract

Abstract

Literature has demonstrated the important role of personality as predictor of organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) in an organization. However, little is known regarding to what extent that personality predicts OCB in orchestra organizations, especially in Indonesia, where orchestra organizations are emerging in the recent years. Such a gap calls for study to ensure effective and efficient organizational management. The current study aims at exploring the role of personality in predicting OCB of Indonesian orchestra organizations. A sample of 84 orchestra committee members participated in the study. Results demonstrated that neuroticism was the only significant predictor of OCB among Indonesian orchestra group members. The findings present valuable information for orchestra management in mapping their organizational strategies for effective management.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has made significant changes to people’s lives. Including career women who work from home, feel the impact of these changes. Challenges and burdens borne by career women in the middle of public stigma about women who should be at home, doing domestic work, taking care of their husbands and children and then increasing when they have to do it together with office work at home. The purpose of this study is to reveal the dual role conflict experienced by career women when working from home during covid-19 pandemic. The method used in writing this article uses the library method. A mother who has a dual role during a pandemic finds her work responsibilities getting more difficult. The burden is in the form of the responsibility of accompanying school children from home and work responsibilities which apparently during the pandemic are increasing. Especially when children learn online. Here the role of a mother increases because she has to act as a teacher to accompany her child. This makes career women find it difficult because they are also carrying out their duties from home (WFH) at the same time. Career women often find it difficult because they have to divide their focus between work and accompanying children during online school. So that the dual role conflict experienced by career women when working from home during the Covid-19 pandemic increases because roles in work and family are carried out in the same place at the same time.
