Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis dan kemandirian belajar siswa yang masih rendah dalam pembelajaran matematika. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis dan pencapaian kemandirian belajar siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran model inkuiri berbantuan aplikasi microsoft math solver dengan siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran model konvensional. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian nonequivalent control group design serta menggunakan teknik sampling purposive. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII MTsN 11 Cirebon Tahun Pelajaran 2023/2024. Sampel penelitian ini melibatkan 36 siswa kelas VII B sebagai kelas eksperimen dan 38 siswa kelas VII A sebagai kelas kontrol. Analisis data yang digunakan yaitu uji normalitas, uji homogenitas dan uji independent sample T-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran model inkuiri berbantuan aplikasi microsoft math solver lebih tinggi dari pada siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran menggunakan model konvensional serta hasil capaian kemandirian belajar siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran model inkuiri berbantuan aplikasi microsoft math solver lebih baik dari pada siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran menggunakan model konvensional.

Abstract

This research aims to improve students' problem solving abilities in composition and inverse function material using the Problem Based Learning model for students in class X-6 at SMA N 4 Kisaran for the 2024/2025 academic year. The subjects in this research were 36 students in class X-6. This type of research is classroom action research which is carried out in two cycles. The research instruments used in this research were tests and observations. The data analysis technique in this research was carried out qualitatively and the results of the actions were in the form of quantitative scores. This research shows that the average score in the pre-test does not reach the classical completeness percentage, namely only 61.11%. After implementing the problem based learning model, the percentage of post-test completeness in cycle I was 69.45%, so the percentage of completeness had not been achieved, so it continued in cycle II, increasing by 88.89%. Likewise, with student activity, the percentage of student activity in cycle I was 72.22%, then increased in cycle II by 84.67%. Therefore, it can be concluded that the problem based learning model can improve the problem solving abilities and activeness of students in class X-6 of SMA Negeri 4 Kisaran.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effectiveness of the NHT model on the mathematics learning outcomes of fifth grade elementary school students and wants to know their learning outcomes before and after using the NHT model. A one-group pretest-posttest experimental design is a part of this quantitative research approach. Thirty students were the sample for this research. The results of the t test indicate that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted with a p-value of 0.000. With a Tcount of 11.498 and a Ttable of 2.048, we can see that the learning results for students were significantly different before and after using the NHT learning model. We reject H0 and accept Ha because Tcount > Ttable = 11.498 > 2.048. Consequently, the impact of the NHT learning model on the mathematics learning outcomes of fifth grade students at SD Negeri 3 Menganti is significantly different from other approaches.

Abstract

In class X of SMA NEGERI 8 Muaro Jambi, a problem was found, namely that students' metacognitive abilities were still at a low level. Therefore, this study aims to describe and compare the impact of implementing the PBL and PjBL models on the level of students' metacognitive abilities in the SPLTV material. The research method used is True Experimental Design with a Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design research design . The population of this study was all students of class X of SMA Negeri 8 Muaro Jambi, with samples consisting of classes X Phase E1, X Phase E4, and X Phase E5. The instruments used to collect data were metacognitive ability level tests and learning implementation sheets. The results of the One-Way ANOVA analysis showed that there was a significant effect of the implementation of the PBL and PjBL models on the level of students' metacognitive abilities with a significance value of 0.002 < 0.05. Furthermore, the Tukey test showed that students who followed the PjBL model had a better level of metacognitive ability, with an average score of 36,53 compared to students who used the PBL model with an average score of 33,28 and conventional learning methods with an average score of 29,41.

Abstract

This research is based on the lack of technology and communication in the mathematics learning process and the teaching materials used at SMP Negeri 8 Natal, namely package books, but the package books still cannot guide students in the learning process. The purpose of this study is to produce inquiry-based E-LKPD on social arithmetic material. This type of research is development research using R&D (Research & Development). The development model used is the Plomp development model. The instruments used in the preliminary research stage are student characteristics questionnaires, interview guidelines and observation questionnaires while the instruments in the prototyping phase stage are self-evaluation questionnaires, validity questionnaires and interview guidelines for the use of inquiry-based E-LKPD. Based on the validator's assessment, the validity of the E-LKPD by Mathematicians and Technologists was obtained at 90.3% with the category of very valid. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that inquiry-based E-LKPD on social arithmetic material is declared valid for use by teachers and students.

Abstract

Abstract This study seeks to uncover the mathematical concepts present in traditional musical instruments from Bengkulu. This study was conducted in three locations, namely the Muaro Raflesia Studio, the Malebero Art Studio and State Middle School 11 in the city of Bengkulu. The subject of this research is a cultural figure who preserves traditional Bengkulu musical instruments. Observations in this research were carried out through direct observation of Bengkulu traditional musical instruments. The creation of mathematical concepts for traditional Bengkulu musical instruments was conducted through observation, which was then deepened through interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques involved collecting data, reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions The results of this research show that traditional Bengkulu musical instruments contain mathe matical concepts, namely circles, triangles, kites and congruence. The findings of these mathematical concepts can be developed into open materials in middle school.

Abstract

Pemahaman konsep matematis adalah aspek penting dalam proses pembelajaran matematika. Namun, banyak siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami konsep tersebut, sehingga perlu ada upaya untuk meningkatkan pemahaman mereka. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh metode pembelajaran Student Facilitator and Explaining terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan eksperimen semu (quasi-experimental) dengan desain pretest-posttest control group. Subjek penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Batanghari pada semester genap, dengan teknik purposive sampling yang menghasilkan 36 siswa di kelas eksperimen dan 36 siswa di kelas kontrol. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes pemahaman konsep dan observasi selama kegiatan pembelajaran, sedangkan pengujian hipotesis dilakukan menggunakan uji-t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode pembelajaran SFE memberikan dampak signifikan pada pemahaman konsep matematis siswa, yang terlihat dari perbedaan skor posttest antara kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Siswa yang belajar menggunakan metode ini menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman konsep yang lebih besar dibandingkan dengan siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran konvensional. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, metode ini dapat direkomendasikan sebagai strategi pembelajaran alternatif yang efektif di sekolah, terutama dalam mata pelajaran matematika, untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar dan keterlibatan siswa dalam proses belajar.

Abstract

Mathematical literacy focuses on students' ability to analyze, solve, and interpret mathematical problems in a variety of contexts. These abilities need to be measured so that they can be a reference to find ways to improve students' mathematical literacy skills. The shift to an independent curriculum can be a new gateway for learning in Indonesia to improve students' mathematical skills. The purpose of this study is to determine the mathematical literacy ability of grade VII students of SMP Negeri 21 Bengkulu Tengah in implementing the independent curriculum. This study investigated 25 students who used the independent curriculum. As a method of data collection, written tests, interviews, and documentation were used. The results of the study show that most students are still at a low level of mathematical literacy. 8 students reached level 1c, 2 students were at level 1b, and only 1 student reached level 1a. On the PISA scale, level 1c is the lowest level, where students can only answer questions with very explicit information, while level 3 shows the ability to use reasoning and apply mathematical concepts in more complex contexts. This low achievement is influenced by the lack of habit of solving contextual problems, difficulty understanding the information in the problem, and limited ability in basic calculation operations. These findings show the need for improvement in the approach to mathematics learning with an emphasis on contextual problems, and the practice of applied numeracy skills. Literasi matematis berfokus pada kemampuan siswa untuk menganalisis, memecahkan, dan menafsirkan masalah matematis dalam berbagai konteks. Kemampuan tersebut perlu diukur sehingga dapat menjadi acuan untuk mencari cara bagaimana meningkatkan kemampuan literasi matematis siswa. Pergeseran ke kurikulum merdeka dapat menjadi gerbang baru bagi pembelajaran di Indonesia untuk meningkatkan kemampuan matematis siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kemampuan literasi matematis siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 21 Bengkulu Tengah dalam menerapkan kurikulum merdeka. Penelitian ini menyelidiki 25 siswa yang menggunakan kurikulum merdeka. Sebagai metode pengumpulan data digunakan tes tertulis, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar siswa masih berada pada level literasi matematis rendah. 8 siswa mencapai level 1c, 2 siswa berada di level 1b, dan hanya 1 siswa mencapai level 1a. Dalam skala PISA, level 1c merupakan tingkat terendah, di mana siswa hanya dapat menjawab soal dengan informasi yang sangat eksplisit, sedangkan level 3 menunjukkan kemampuan menggunakan penalaran dan menerapkan konsep matematika dalam konteks yang lebih kompleks. Rendahnya capaian ini dipengaruhi oleh kurangnya kebiasaan menyelesaikan soal kontekstual, kesulitan memahami informasi dalam soal, serta terbatasnya kemampuan dalam operasi hitung dasar. Temuan ini menunjukkan perlunya perbaikan dalam pendekatan pembelajaran matematika dengan menekankan pada soal-soal kontekstual, dan latihan keterampilan berhitung yang aplikatif.

Abstract

Rendahnya motivasi siswa dalam mempelajari matematika menjadi suatu tantangan yang sering terjadi dalam pembelajaran matematika. Penggunaan media edugames berbasis Wordwall menjadi alternatif solusi untuk meningkatkan motivasi siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penggunaan media edugames berbasis Wordwall terhadap motivasi belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika kelas VII. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode pre-eksperimen. Desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah one-shot case study. Desain ini digunakan untuk mengamati efek perlakuan secara langsung setelah pembelajaran tanpa dilakukan pre-test. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII di SMPN 3 Cikarang Selatan. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah 38 siswa kelas VII.5 yang diambil menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini, yaitu angket penggunaan media edugames berbasis Wordwall dan angket motivasi belajar siswa. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket motivasi belajar siswa yang diberikan setelah pembelajaran menggunakan media edugames berbasis Wordwall dan dianalisis menggunakan uji regresi linear sederhana dengan bantuan Software SPSS Statistics versi 25. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif dari media edugames berbasis Wordwall terhadap motivasi belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika sebesar 31,8%

Abstract

The low level of metaphorical thinking ability affects students' ability to solve complex mathematical problems. This study aims to examine the strength of the relationship between critical thinking ability and metaphorical thinking ability. Data were collected from the mid-semester assessment of the SPLDV (Simultaneous Linear Equations with Two Variables) topic. The population in this study consisted of 170 ninth-grade students from SMP Negeri 2 Pangkalan in the 2024/2025 academic year, with a sample of 63 students selected using a simple random sampling technique. The objectives of this study include categorizing students' abilities using the K-means clustering method and determining the relationship, direction, strength, and coefficient of determination between critical thinking ability and metaphorical thinking ability through Spearman’s rank correlation analysis. The results show that 37 students fall into the high ability category, 20 into the moderate ability category, and 6 into the low ability category. The Spearman’s rank correlation analysis yielded a correlation coefficient of 0.632 for the entire dataset and 0.482 for Cluster 1, indicating a significant positive (direct) relationship between critical thinking ability and metaphorical thinking ability, with a moderately strong correlation. The coefficient of determination shows that critical thinking and metaphorical thinking abilities influence 39.9% of the overall data and 23.2% of Cluster 1, while the remaining variance is influenced by other factors beyond these two cognitive abilities.
