Abstract

Islamic Education (PAI) is confronted with a persistent challenge arising from the misalignment between its holistic aim of nurturing insān kāmil (the complete human being) and assessment practices that remain predominantly cognitive and reductive in nature. As a result, existing assessments have yet to adequately capture students’ character formation, attitudes, and diverse potentials. This study seeks to formulate and develop a holistic assessment model for PAI grounded in Multiple Intelligence theory. Employing a qualitative approach, the research is based on conceptual inquiry and critical analysis of scholarly literature on authentic assessment, Islamic education, and Multiple Intelligence theory. Data were analyzed using a descriptive–analytical technique through the synthesis of key concepts and the systematic mapping of relationships between PAI learning domains and Multiple Intelligence. The findings demonstrate that the integration of Multiple Intelligence theory into PAI assessment can generate a comprehensive, operational, and learner-centered assessment framework, enabling a more equitable and meaningful evaluation of learning outcomes across cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains. The proposed model offers a humanistic alternative to conventional assessment practices and aligns closely with the philosophical foundations of Islamic Religious Education as well as the demands of 21st-century education.

Abstract

This qualitative descriptive study analyzes Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) usage patterns and their impact on pre-service teachers' problem-solving capabilities through Polya’s framework. Data from ten informants were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. Findings reveal that GenAI serves as effective "cognitive scaffolding" during the understanding and planning phases. However, a "dependency paradox" emerged during execution, while the evaluation phase showed critical literacy deficiencies due to automation bias. The study concludes that uncontrolled GenAI use jeopardizes students' procedural skills and epistemic agency. It recommends reorienting curricula toward Critical AI Literacy and AI-TPACK frameworks to safeguard intellectual autonomy.

Abstract

This study aims to map trends in Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) learning in elementary schools for the 2021-2025 period, analyze technology integration, and identify future research opportunities. The method used was a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) of 33 scientific articles using the PRISMA protocol. The results showed that the learning model trend was dominated by a constructivist approach, with the Inquiry model being the most dominant (11 articles), followed by Problem-Based Learning (7 articles) and Discovery Learning (6 articles). Learning strategies shifted towards Digital-Based Learning and gamification through group discussions, environmental observation, and innovative methods such as Window Shopping. Technology integration through digital media such as Augmented Reality (AR), Canva, and gamification platforms (Kahoot, Quizizz, Wordwall) was proven effective in increasing learning motivation by up to 93.23%, strengthening student engagement, and visualizing abstract concepts concretely. Despite the positive impact, the main challenge lies in the stability of internet infrastructure. Future research opportunities include exploring cooperative models such as Student Facilitator and Explainer (SFAE) and developing higher-order thinking skills (HOTS) variables. In conclusion, the synergy between active learning models and interactive digital media is key to effective science learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of the Project Based Learning model on the creative thinking skills of sixth-grade students at SD Negeri 5 Suwawal. The research employed a quantitative approach with a One Group Pretest-Posttest experimental design. The research subjects consisted of 16 sixth-grade students selected using a saturated sampling technique. The research instrument was an open-ended essay test designed to measure four indicators of creative thinking skills, namely fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration. Data analysis involved validity and reliability tests, normality testing, and hypothesis testing using the Paired Sample t-Test. The results indicated an increase in the average score from 61.88 in the pretest to 83.12 in the posttest, with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. Improvements were observed across all indicators of creative thinking skills, with the highest increase found in originality. These findings demonstrate that the implementation of the Project Based Learning model has a significant effect on enhancing students’ creative thinking skills. Therefore, this is recommended as an effective instructional model to promote active, meaningful, and creativity-oriented learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

Rendahnya hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas IV MINU Metro Utara menjadi permasalahan utama yang melatarbelakangi penelitian ini. Dari 28 siswa, hanya 10 siswa (35,7%) yang mencapai Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal 75 dengan nilai rata-rata 62,5. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika pada materi Pengukuran Panjang melalui penerapan model pembelajaran Course Review Horay. Penelitian menggunakan desain Penelitian Tindakan Kelas model Kemmis dan McTaggart yang dilaksanakan dua siklus. Subjek penelitian adalah 28 siswa kelas IV D MINU Metro Utara. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes hasil belajar, observasi terstruktur dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis secara kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan nilai rata-rata dari 62,5 (pra-siklus) menjadi 74,3 (Siklus I) dan 82,7 (Siklus II). Persentase ketuntasan belajar meningkat dari 35,7% menjadi 64,3% pada Siklus I dan 89,3% pada Siklus II, melampaui indikator keberhasilan minimal 80%. Partisipasi aktif siswa meningkat dari 58% menjadi 72% (Siklus I) dan 88% (Siklus II). Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa model Course Review Horay yang diterapkan dengan pembentukan kelompok heterogen, pembagian peran, scaffolding intensif, dan variasi soal kontekstual terbukti efektif meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa SD/MI

Abstract

This study examines how teacher engagement and school culture contribute to the effectiveness of mathematics learning at the junior high school level. Using a quantitative survey research method, the study involved 260 students proportionally selected from a total population of 797 students at four public junior high schools in Bantarbolang District, Pemalang Regency. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire and analyzed using statistical techniques, including descriptive analysis and linear regression. The results indicate that teacher engagement and the character of the school culture have a rapid impact on student learning achievement in mathematics. Teachers' abilities to manage the classroom, deliver material clearly, and provide emotional support are important factors in improving student learning outcomes. Furthermore, a positive school culture, which emphasizes cooperation, discipline, and academic values, has been shown to foster enthusiasm and faster student learning outcomes in mathematics. These findings emphasize the important role of the educational environment and teacher presence in promoting successful mathematics learning at the junior high school level.

Abstract

The research aims to prove that the use of Kahoot media in the TAI model is able to increase the activity and learning outcomes of students. This study took the form of Classroom Action Research (CAR) and was conducted in class XI PKM SMK Cendekia Kota Madiun with 13 students and involving cash management subject educators. The data analysis techniques used were tests and observations. The results of the study show that 1) The application of Kahoot media with TAI type cooperative learning was proven to run optimally in increasing active student participation. The active participation of class XI PKM SMK Cendekia Kota Madiun students in the petty cash material increased from an average of 50 (quite active) in cycle I to 79 (active) in cycle II. The interactive Kahoot media and appropriate learning model created a comfortable, conducive and competitive learning environment. 2) Student learning outcomes also experienced significant changes, with an increase of 85% in cycle II. The combination of Kahoot media and the TAI model helped students better understand the material through teamwork, individual learning, and interesting evaluations, thereby increasing learning motivation.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menyelidiki persepsi siswa kelas empat di Sekolah Dasar Nahdlatul Ulama di Metro Manila terhadap penggunaan pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dan Sosial (IPAS) berbasis praktikum dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei yang dikombinasikan dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Dua puluh lima siswa kelas empat C berpartisipasi dalam survei. Kuesioner skala Likert dengan tiga indikator utama antusiasme siswa dalam belajar, pemahaman konseptual, dan partisipasi aktif siswa dalam kegiatan praktikum dasar digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data tentang persepsi siswa. Untuk memastikan tren opini siswa mengenai penerapan pembelajaran berbasis praktikum dasar, analisis data dilakukan menggunakan perhitungan persentase. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, indikator minat belajar siswa mencapai persentase 86%, pemahaman konseptual 84%, dan keterlibatan aktif siswa 88%, yang semuanya termasuk dalam kategori sangat baik. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa latihan praktik dasar dapat memperkuat pengetahuan konseptual, meningkatkan minat belajar, membantu siswa memahami isi secara lebih praktis, dan mendorong partisipasi aktif siswa dalam proses pembelajaran.
