Abstract

This study examines the impact of transformational and distributed leadership on fostering learning organizations within Sukma Bangsa School. Transformational leadership is anticipated to drive positive changes by enhancing staff motivation and engagement, while distributed leadership emphasizes shared responsibility and collaborative efforts to sustain a progressive learning environment. Employing a quantitative survey approach, data was collected from 150 respondents, including teachers, school principals, and administrative staff, using a Likert scale-based questionnaire. Data analysis involved descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation, and linear regression tests to evaluate the influence of these leadership styles on organizational learning. Findings reveal that transformational leadership holds a significant positive correlation (r = 0.78) with organizational learning, with an average rating of 4.3. Distributed leadership also shows a substantial effect, with a regression coefficient of β = 0.64, indicating that the collaborative division of responsibilities enhances staff involvement and professional collaboration. In summary, both leadership styles significantly contribute to the advancement of learning organizations in schools, promoting a culture of collaboration and innovation, though some resistance to change persists. This research highlights critical implications for school management in strengthening leadership roles to boost organizational learning effectiveness.

Abstract

This research discusses the dynamics and role of Islamic higher education (IHE) until the present era. This era is distinguished by the ongoing development of science and technology, among other factors. IHE have undergone significant institutional and other developments, playing a pivotal role during the Old Order (ORLA), New Order (ORBA), and Reformation eras. Since its inception, IHE has been an integral component of the national education system, its significance further reinforced by two pivotal legislative acts: Law No. 2 of 1989 and Law No. 20 of 2003. Consequently, PTAI is obligated to contribute to the development of the nation while concurrently assuming responsibility for addressing its challenges across various domains. The nation is currently in a period of significant disruption, marked by economic challenges and a growing reliance on debt, which has now reached over 8000 trillion. This situation is further compounded by the presence of tens of millions of poor individuals and other pressing issues. In this context, PTAI is tasked with cultivating a generation of students who are not only well-versed in a broad array of disciplines, but also possess the qualities of entrepreneurship, competence, and moral integrity. This objective is to be achieved through the integration of moral and ethical principles into the educational curriculum, imparted by educators. Upon their graduation, these students will become valuable contributors to the nation's development.

Abstract

Students' low motivation to learn Islamic Religious Education subjects and the lack of research on the social factors that influence it are crucial gaps in efforts to develop faith-based character education in Indonesia. This study tested the hypothesis that quality peer interaction significantly increases students' intrinsic and extrinsic motivation in Islamic Education learning through social support, collaborative learning, and strengthening religious identity.  This study used a quantitative approach with a survey method. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 200 students in various junior high schools in Indramayu Regency, and analyzed using linear regression to see the relationship between the independent and dependent variables. The results showed that there is a significant relationship between peer interaction and students' learning motivation level in PAI subjects. The findings make a theoretical contribution to the understanding of the role of peer communities in religious education and offer practical implications for educators to optimize social dynamics in PAI learning, including the implementation of peer-assisted learning strategies, the formation of religious value-based learning communities, and the integration of collaborative activities that support the internalization process of Islamic values.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strategies teachers use to improve students' Qur'an reading skills, identify the obstacles faced during the learning process, and explain the outcomes of teachers' efforts in enhancing students' abilities. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, with data collected through classroom observations, interviews with teachers, students, and the head of the madrasah, as well as documentation such as student learning outcome reports. The study was conducted at Madrasah Anshoriah Al-Islamiyah, Songkhla, Thailand. Findings reveal that teachers implemented practice-based learning methods, individual mentoring, and varied learning media to improve students' Qur'an reading skills. However, challenges such as differences in student abilities, limited instructional time, and a lack of motivation among some students were identified. To address these issues, teachers employed diverse teaching methods, provided individual support for struggling students, organized Tahfidz and Tilawah programs, and involved parents in the learning process. These efforts resulted in a gradual improvement in students' Qur'an reading abilities, demonstrating the effectiveness of the implemented strategies. Students who initially struggled with reading the Qur'an showed progress with proper guidance and methods. An individualized approach enhanced fluency and tajwid comprehension, while the use of technology made learning more engaging. Additionally, parental involvement at home played a crucial role in motivating students to practice consistently.
