Abstract

The use of natural enemies to control pests is a natural way that is safe for humans and the environment. One way this can be done is by conservation of natural enemies. Conservation is generally carried out through habitat management, namely by planting flowering plants that function as a source of feed, hosts (alternative prey, refuge) for natural enemies of pests. Refugia is a cultivated plant and has the potential to support natural enemy habitats ((both predators and parasites). The research method is experimental, namely comparing land that uses refugia plants and land that does not use refugia plants (conventional). This research was carried out on rice cultivation owned by farmers in Kangenan Village, Pademawu District, Pamekasan Regency. The study lasted for approximately 3 (three) months starting from April -June 2023. Data analysis using t-test by comparing the number of pests on land planted with reugia and conventional land.The results showed that the average number of locust pests on refugia land was 1.542857 and on conventional land 2.057143, the average number of walang sangit pests was 1.25714286 and conventional land was 2.05714286, the average number of caterpillar pests was 1.228571 and on conventional land was 1.885714.While the number of natural enemies of dragonflies on refugia land was 2.69 and on conventional land was 2.49. Based on the results of T tests on refugia and conventional land, locust pest Tstar 3.378975544 was obtained greater than Tcritical one1 1.782287548 , Tstar caterpillar pest 3.189526128 greater than Tcritical one 1.782287548, Tstar pest walang sangit 2.172198564 greater than Tcritical one 1.782287548 means that refugia plants can affect pests on rice plants because of the presence of refugia plants on the edge of the field as a temporary shelter for natural enemies.

Abstract

Tempeh industry is an industry that uses raw materials such as soybeans and yeast. This industry is mostly managed by Indonesian people, both in rural and urban areas. The tempeh industry often experiences the problem of fluctuations in the price of soybeans which are used as its main raw material, the price tends to rise, while the selling price of tempeh is difficult to increase. This study aims to describe the impact of fluctuations in imported soybean prices and labor wages on the amount of tempe production at UD. Edwin 2018-2021. The research method uses descriptive qualitative and takes samples using the purposive sampling method because the research informants are determined deliberately. The data analysis method uses multiple linear regression data analysis methods to determine the causal or causal relationship between the independent variables and the dependent variable. The results of this study indicate that the independent variable has an effect of 92.2% on the dependent variable, meaning that the price of imported soybeans and labor wages together affect the amount of tempe production. The higher the price of imported soybeans, the lower the amount of tempe production, conversely, the lower the price of imported soybeans, the greater the amount of tempeh production.

Abstract

Retorika Kopi is one of the coffee shops that emerged in the midst of intense competition with many businesses in the same field. The purpose of the study was to determine the attributes that consumers consider most in making purchases at Retorika Kopi, and to determine the stages of consumers in making purchasing decisions at Retorika Kopi. The sample used was 100 respondents who were calculated using the Cochran formula. The data was analyzed using validity test, reliability test, and fishbein analysis. The results showed that in deciding to buy at Retorika Kopi, the service attributes, facilities, and atmosphere have a positive value, while the price attribute has a neutral consumer attitude value. The process of making purchasing decisions at Retorika Kopi is carried out through the stages of need recognition, information search, evaluation, purchase and post-purchase processes. Updating and maintaining coffee shops, providing live music performances or interesting events at certain times are things that can be recommended to provide a comfortable atmosphere for consumers.

Abstract

The strategy to ensure that preserved fish buying and selling transactions at the preserved fish marketing center in Kulon City, Bondowoso Regency can continue is to ensure that the quality of the preserved fish traded at the preserved fish marketing center complies with the quality standards set by the government, namely the Indonesian National Standard (SNI). The aim of this research is to determine the conformity of the quality of the preserved flying fish with the Indonesian National Standards (SNI). This research method begins with sampling preserved flying fish at the Preserved Fish Marketing Center, Kulon City, Bondowoso Regency and then taken to the UPT Laboratory for Quality Testing and Development of Marine and Fishery Products Banyuwangi for sample testing. Testing of samples of preserved flying fish products according to the requirements of SNI 2717:2017, namely organoleptic tests, microbiological tests and chemical tests. Organoleptic test (SNI. 2346:2015) which includes appearance, smell, taste and consistency. Microbiological tests consist of aerobic TPC (SNI. 2332.3:2015), Escherichia coli (SNI. 2332.1:2015), Salmonella (SNI. 2332.2:2006) and Staphylococcus aereus (SNI. 2332.9:2015). Chemical tests consist of water content (SNI. 2354.2:2015), salt content (SNI. 01-2359-1991), histamine (SNI. 2354.10:2016) and lead (Pb) (IKM 3.14 (ICP-MS). The results of the research showed that the results of testing the quality of the preserved flying fish consisted of organoleptic tests (appearance, smell, taste and consistency), microbiological tests (aerobic TPC, Escherichia coli, salmonella, and Staphyloccocus aureus), and chemical tests (moisture content, salt content , histamine and lead), shows that the quality of preserved flying fish at the preserved fish marketing center in Kulon City, Bondowoso Regency is in accordance with the Indonesian National Standard, namely SNI 2717:2017 Keyword: preserved flying fish, quality conformity, SNI

Abstract

The large market demand for consumption fish makes some farming communities interested in farming, especially consumption fish farming. Fish hatchery business is the first step to the success of fish farming, because for each growing season the aquaculture business requires a supply of seeds from the hatchery business. Goldfish hatcheries are relatively easy because carp can spawn naturally or artificially. Goldfish have a relatively high fecundity or number of eggs, which ranges from 84,000-110,000 eggs per kilogram of brood. The implementation of carp hatchery techniques includes several processes, namely pond preparation, brood selection, kakaban installation, brood release, spawning, hatching eggs, larval care, checking water quality, seeding, pest and disease control. calculation of fecundity, fertilization rate (FR), hatching rate (HR), and survival rate (SR). The data collection method used in this street vendor is primary data. Primary data include active participation, observation, interviews, and documentation. The carp hatchery technique (Cyprinus carpio L.) at IPB Punten, Batu City is carried out naturally, the carp mother used comes from Punten using a ratio of male to female parents of 1: 3. The feeding method, namely Blind Feeding, obtained an F value of 40,000 eggs, FR 84%, HR 84.5% and SR 90.2%.

Abstract

The income level of cattle farmers in Pamekasan Regency is still relatively low, so it is necessary to conduct research to determine the level of income and welfare of cattle farmers in Pamekasan Regency. The method used in this study is to use a simple random sampling technique of 60 farmers/respondents. The data obtained were tabulated and analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively (business income, household income and welfare level). The results showed that the highest annual income of cattle farmers in Pamekasan Regency was Rp185,750,000 and the lowest income was Rp3,020,000, so it can be said that the cattle business of all respondents experienced profits and the business was feasible with an R/C ratio > 1. The household income of farmers was Rp2,276,126 per month, categorized as a medium income group. The welfare level of cattle farmer households in Pamekasan Regency is 77% (46 people), the majority of which are categorized as prosperous.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The need for corn in Indonesia is currently quite large and increasing. With the increasing need for corn, corn cultivation must use good prospects, one of which is the use of fertilizer. This research aims to enable students and the community to know how to produce good corn production by using local varieties with organic fertilizer and inorganic fertilizer treatment and also to know how to use a combination of organic and inorganic fertilizer on corn plants. This research used a non-factorial completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 treatments with 4 replications with various dosage levels of liquid organic fertilizer with a combination of Urea fertilizer, namely: P1: Urea 6 g + 0 ml POC, P2: Urea 6 g + POC 10 ml /L POC, P3: Urea 6 g + POC 20 ml/L POC, P4: Urea 6 g + POC 30 ml/L POC, P5: Without urea and without POC. The results of the research show that treatment of Urea fertilizer with Liquid Organic Fertilizer from cow dung can increase the growth and good yields of corn plants in the parameters of plant height, leaf length, number of cobs, wet weight of fruit, dry weight of fruit, number of rows/cobs, number of seeds/ cobs by P3=(Urea 6 g + POC 20 ml/L POC) with no significant difference, while the resulting parameters were significantly different from the parameters obtained for the number of cobs on corn plants.

Abstract

Rice farming is one of the agricultural enterprises with a relatively high production risk. This production risk can lead to decreased production and even crop failure. This study aims to analyze the factors affecting the rice production and analyze the factors affecting production risk in rice farming in Anjatan Subdistrict, Indramayu. This research was conducted in Anjatan Subdistrict, Indramayu Regency. The research location was chosen purposively considering that Anjatan Subdistrict is one of the rice production centers in Indramayu Regency. The sampling method used was a simple random sampling method with a sample size of 50 rice farmers. The data analysis used in this study consisted of rice production risk function analysis and rice production function analysis. The production function used was the Just and Pope production model. The results of the estimation of the production function showed that the seed, fertilizer, labor, and pesticide variables had a significant effect on rice production in Anjatan Subdistrict. Furthermore, the results of the analysis of the rice production risk function showed that seeds and labor are production factors that can reduce production risk (risk-reducing factors), while urea fertilizer and fertilizer are inputs that can increase rice production risk (risk-increasing factors). The results of the analysis on the production and risk production functions show that seeds are an input that significantly increases rice production and can reduce production risk. Increasing the use of seeds, especially superior seeds, can be one of the strategies to increase production and reduce the risk of crop failure.

Abstract

Hydroponic vegetables are one of the increasingly popular horticultural products. The specialty of hydroponic vegetable products is that they are fresher and cleaner than conventional vegetables. The purpose of this research is to analyze consumer preferences, and determine the order of attributes that are the main considerations for consumers of hydroponic vegetables. The method of determining the location was done purposively at Sebelas Maret Hydroponics Surakarta. The sampling method is non probability sampling with a convenience sampling approach of 33 respondents with the criteria of having bought and consumed hydroponic vegetables produced by Sebelas Maret Hydroponics. Data analysis method with Fishbein's multi-attribute model. The results showed that consumer preferences for hydroponic vegetables are vegetables that has physical conditions of leaves that are wide, not torn, not perforated, intactand not broken. The condition of freshness of vegetables that are harvested directly, with bright light green vegetable colors, vegetable flavors that are different from conventionally cultivated vegetables. The packaging of vegetables is closed and transparent, and there is a label on the packaging. The main attributes considered by consumers in purchasing hydroponic vegetables are the level of freshness, vegetable taste, physical condition of vegetable leaves, vegetable color, packaging and labels.

Abstract

Processing purple sweet potatoes is an effort to diversify food and increase the added value of purple sweet potatoes. By increasing the added value of purple sweet potatoes, it will increase the income of sweet potato farmers. This research aims to determine the added value analysis of processing purple sweet potatoes into processed products in the form of Dapoer Loepita purple sweet potato layer cake. Based on the calculation results of the added value analysis of using sweet potatoes as an ingredient in making purple sweet potato flour, an added value of Rp. -57,143.5 can be said to be a loss while making purple sweet potato layer cake produces an added value of IDR. 14.0019.
