Abstract

In the era of globalization and increasing competition, public sector organizations such as the Mojokerto City Transportation Office are required to enhance service quality and employee productivity to meet various changes and challenges. Employee performance is crucial as it reflects the organization's human resource effectiveness, with employees being its key assets. Therefore, managing and optimizing human resources is imperative for organizational success. Human resources play a pivotal role, supported and complemented by other factors in achieving organizational goals. This study examines whether career development, competence, and performance allowance have partial or simultaneous effects on employee performance improvement, and identifies which variables predominantly influence employee performance. The research aims to analyze the partial and simultaneous effects of career development, competence, and performance allowance on employee performance improvement, as well as to determine the dominant variables affecting employee performance. The population consists of all Civil Servants at the Mojokerto City Transportation Office in 2023, totaling 43 individuals. The sample size matches the population due to saturation sampling. Data were collected using questionnaires and documentation, analyzed through percentage description and multiple linear regression. The multiple linear regression equation derived from the study is Y = 1.331 + 0.412 X1 + 0.192 X2 + 0.255 X3. Using SPSS 27, the hypotheses testing (t-test) showed partial significance values of 0.001 for career development (X1), 0.037 for competence (X2), and 0.002 for performance allowance (X3), all less than 0.05. Thus, it can be concluded that career development, competence, and performance allowance significantly influence employee performance improvement at the Mojokerto City Transportation Office. The analysis reveals that Career Development (X1), Competence (X2), and Performance Allowance (X3), with the dependent variable Employee Performance Improvement (Y) at the Mojokerto City Transportation Office, amount to 0.803, indicating a strong relationship as evidenced by the adjusted R-squared. The simultaneous hypothesis (F-test) is accepted, signifying a significant overall relationship between independent and dependent variables

Abstract

The Samsung smartphone brand holds a positive image in the minds of Indonesian people. For years, Samsung has consistently been the market leader in Indonesia for smartphone sales using the Android software platform. This study aims to reinforce the findings of previous research, which used a quantitative descriptive approach, by re-examining one of its variables, namely brand image, using a non-interactive qualitative approach. The research was conducted by observing consumer preferences in purchasing decisions for four series of mid-to-lower-end smartphones with similar specifications but different brands, produced in the same year, on three of the most frequently accessed online stores by Indonesian consumers: Shopee, Tokopedia, and Bibli. The observation was carried out non-participantly on online sales data throughout 2023. It was complemented by interview results substituted with product reviews containing the strengths and weaknesses of a product from several accounts or gadget reviewer YouTube channels. The results of this study conclude that the brand image of Samsung, through a qualitative approach, also influences consumer preferences in making smartphone purchasing decisions, thus reinforcing the findings of previous research using quantitative methods

Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of Hamdi's method which utilizes the gold value (GVM) and gold index (GI) methods to calculate the feasibility study of business on the financial aspect. GVM functions as an alternative to the net present value (NPV) method, while GI acts as a substitute for the profitability index (PI). The purpose was to find out whether the results of Hamdi's method feasibility determination were in line with the conventional approach that uses NPV and PI which are widely applied in the academic world. For this reason, the researcher conducted a case study on the Cheese Tea business in Pekanbaru. The findings show that the results of the feasibility decision using GVM are in line with the NPV calculation, and the results of the feasibility decision using GI are in line with the PI calculation. Thus, Hamdi's method presents a viable option for assessing the feasibility of a business from a financial perspective and contributing to the calculation methods that exist in this domain

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the significance of the effect of perceived ease of use, trust, price and promotional attractiveness on the intention to use the ShopeePay e-wallet as a digital payment system for Generation Z in Semarang City. The population in this study were generation z in Semarang City who used the ShopeePay e-wallet. The data in this study were taken using non-probability sampling techniques with incidential sampling methods, as many as 120 respondents. The data analysis model uses a Multiple Linear Analysis Model. While data analysis techniques use the F Test, the Coefficient of Determination Test (R2), and the t statistical test. The results of this study partially show that promotional attractiveness, price, and perceived ease of use have a significant effect on the intention to use the ShopeePay e-wallet as a digital payment system for generation z in the city of Semarang. However, partially trust has an insignificant effect on the intention to use the ShopeePay e-wallet as a digital payment system for generation z in the city of Semarang

Abstract

In this case, the role of a leader is needed to motivate salt farmers. The aim of this research is to find out the role of the village head in motivating salt farmers in Pinggir Papas village, Sumenep district the role of the village head in motivating salt farmers in Pinggir Papas village, Sumenep district. This research method uses a qualitative descriptive method, namely a type of research with the aim of presenting a complete picture according to the problem being studied. The research results found that the village head's role in motivating salt farmers was effective. Salt farmers say that when they get motivation from the village head, they can maximize their time and energy to produce salt.  The role of the village head in motivating salt farmers is to provide direction, guidance, assistance and discussions related to how to produce quality salt. The conclusion from the results of this research is that the role of the village head in motivating salt farmers in Pinggir Papas village has an impact on the welfare of the people in Pinggir Papas village, the majority of whom are salt farmers. The role of the village head in motivating salt farmers is said to be successful due to the principles possessed by salt farmers, namely, focus on work, efficiency and priorities in work

Abstract

Companies in the retail sector are increasing and growing rapidly. One of the retail companies is the Bogor Pekayon Raya Minimarket, which sells a variety of basic necessities and remains the main choice of consumers. The behavior of consumers who will shop will certainly be influenced by price factors and product quality when making a purchase decision. The purpose of this study is to determine the influence of price and product quality on consumer purchase decisions at the Bogor Pekayon Raya Minimarket. The analysis method in this study uses primary data with the test stages carried out are validity test, reliability test, normality test, heterosexuality test, multicollinearity test, multiple linear regression test, t test, f test, determination coefficient test. The sampling method in this study is by simple random sampling technique, distributing questionnaires to 99 respondents using the Slovin formula. Testing tools using SPSS version 20. The results showed that the price had a positive and significant effect on the purchase decision with the results of the t-test, namely the t>-count value  of the table 3.735>1.660 and the significance of 0.000<0.05, while the product quality had a positive and significant effect on the t-test results, which was the t-test value of 8>ttable 8.203>1.660 and the significance of 0.000<0.05, while the result of the f>-test was 131>3.09 and the significance of 0.000<0.05. That there is a simultaneous influence of price and product quality on purchase decisions

Abstract

PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) is a state-owned company which operates in the field of rail transportation services in Indonesia. Even though PT KAI dominates the market share in the railway industry in Indonesia, maintaining qualitu and improving quality remains a top priority for the company. Students studying at various campuses in Surabaya do not only come from within the city, but spread from various cities outside Surabaya which are connected to the railway network. Students are a group of people who have a unique perspective, they are very sensitive to the quality of services provided if they want to use a service so that their views and assessments as users of rail transportation services will be good input for companies, in this case PT KAI. The aim of this research is to determine the level of satisfaction with rail transportation services managed by PT KAI from the perspective of students who are its users. This research succeeded in capturing 476 students from various campuses in Surabaya. The research results show that the majority of service elements are included in the good interval, unfortunately all elements are not included in the very good interval and there are also several elements that are included in the poor interval. This need to be a concern for companies to further improve services, especially those aimed at the student segment.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of Brand Image, Service Quality on Purchase Decisions on Unilever Products at Transmart Juanda Bekasi in the Product Boycott Era. The research method used in this study is quantitative descriptive, with the words used, namely: Primary and secondary data. The population in this study is Unilever consumers who shop at Transmart Juanda Bekasi, with a sample of 100 respondents, for sampling this study using the pursposive sampling technique by considering certain factors. The data collection technique in this study was carried out by distributing a questionnaire through google from to Unilever consumers at Transmart Juanda Bekasi. The data analysis method used is partial least square (PLS) analysis using the SmartPLS program. The results of this study show that 94.9% of the variation of the dependent variables of purchase decisions can be explained by independent variables, namely brand image and service quality, and the rest can be explained by factors outside the model. The brand image variable in this study has a positive and significant effect on the purchase decision, This is shown by the t-statistical value of 2.884 greater than 1.96, and the p-value of 0.004 is less than 0.05 with the coefficient path of the original value path of the sample in this hypothesis test is 0.490. The service quality variable in this study has a positive and significant effect on the purchase decision. This is shown by the t-statistical value of 2.860 greater than 1.96, and the p-value of 0.004 is smaller than 0.05 with the coefficient path of the original value of the sample in this hypothesis test being 0.488

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of liquidation and solvency on firm value with profitability as an intervening variable in three large telecommunications companies in Indonesia, namely PT Telkom Indonesia Tbk, PT Indosat Tbk, and PT XL Axiata Tbk. This study uses quantitative methods and uses secondary data from the financial statements of 3 companies in 2015-2023.  The results showed that the liquidity variable has a negative and significant effect on firm value because the significance value of the liquidity variable is smaller than 0.05. Meanwhile, the solvency variable does not have a significant effect on firm value, because the significance value of the solvency variable is greater than the value of 0.05

Abstract

This study discusses the effect of leverage and stock income on company value with profit management as an intervening variable in banking companies listed on the IDX for the 2023 period. This research was conducted by using secondary data.  Secondary data in this study is in the form of annual financial statements of banking companies listed on the IDX in 2023 and this research data is obtained through the Indonesia Stock Exchange website. This study uses the Partial Least Square (PLS) data analysis method. According to Jogiyanto and Abdillah (2015), PLS is a variant-based structural equation analysis (SEM) that can simultaneously test measurement models (testing validity and reliability) as well as structural testing for causality tests (testing hypotheses with prediction models).
