Abstract

Bronchopneumonia is an inflammation that occurs in the bronchi and alveoli of the lungs and is also the most common clinical symptom of pneumonia in children. This is an infectious disease of the lower respiratory tract, often occurring in infants under 2 years of age or toddlers up to 5 years of age. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the factors that influence the incidence of bronchopneumonia in children, with a focus on risk factors, management, and the effectiveness of treatment applied in hospitals. The method used was a literature study and secondary data analysis from various journals and medical reports related to bronchopneumonia in children. The results showed that the main risk factors contributing to the incidence of bronchopneumonia in children include viral infections, incomplete immunization status, and environmental factors such as exposure to cigarette smoke. Treatment given generally includes antibiotics, fluid therapy, and supportive care, with an emphasis on early detection to prevent further complications. This study also found the importance of a holistic approach in the management of bronchopneumonia to achieve optimal outcomes in pediatric patients.

Abstract

The low participation of informal sector workers in the National Health Insurance (JKN) program remains a significant barrier to achieving universal health coverage in Indonesia. Despite government efforts to expand JKN participant, many informal workers remain uninsured or inactive due to various socio-economic and structural challenges. Limited awareness, financial constraints, administrative difficulties, and perceptions of health service quality contribute to low participation and service utilization. This issue is critical as informal workers make up a large proportion of Indonesia's workforce, and their exclusion from JKN coverage poses risks to individual and public health. Understanding the factors that influence JKN participation and utilization among informal workers is critical to developing targeted interventions to increase coverage and improve access to health services. This study aims to analyze the factors influencing JKN participation and service utilization among informal workers. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 30 respondents in Sedayu through structured questionnaires. The results indicate that only 33.3% of respondents were registered and active participants, while 53.4% were either unregistered or unaware of their enrollment status. The primary reasons for non-enrollment were the lack of JKN socialization (70%) and the perception that insurance was unnecessary due to good health (30%). Furthermore, only 40% of respondents had utilized JKN services, while 60% had never accessed them, primarily due to a lack of understanding of service procedures (45%), distant health facilities (30%), and perceived suboptimal service quality (25%). Socioeconomic factors, including income level, education, age, household size, and place of residence, significantly influenced JKN ownership, with higher-income, urban, and educated individuals being more likely to enroll. The study also highlights structural barriers such as registration complexity, service limitations, and premium affordability, which hinder participation and utilization. Addressing these issues requires enhanced socialization efforts, simplified administrative processes, improved access to healthcare facilities, and better service quality to increase JKN participation among informal workers

Abstract

Acute pain in abdominal pain patients is a common problem that can affect quality of life. At RSUD Sukoharjo's Gladiol Ward, acute pain among patients experiencing abdominal pain is a prevalent issue, representing the highest percentage of complaints. Autogenic relaxation therapy has been proven effective in reducing various types of pain, but its effect on sharp pain in patients suffering from abdominal issues still needs further investigation. The current study will look at how autogenic relaxation therapy affects acute pain intensity in patients suffering from abdominal discomfort. A quasi pre-post test design was implemented in this research. Within this framework, the researcher assigned one group as the intervention group and the other as the control group. The study participants consisted of five inpatients at the Gladiol Ward, RSUD Sukoharjo, who were diagnosed with abdominal pain. Autogenic relaxation therapy was administered twice daily for three consecutive days, with pain levels assessed before and after the intervention using a numerical pain scale. Data analysis was conducted using the Paired T-Test, as the data followed a normal distribution. The statistical results indicated a significant reduction in acute pain levels after autogenic relaxation therapy at RSUD Sukoharjo. The Paired T-Test produced an Asymp. Sig.( 2-tailed ) value of 0.000. Since this value is less than 0,05. It confirms that the alternative hypothesis ( Ha ) is accepted. Therefore, autogenic relaxation therapy is proven to be effective in lowering acute pain levels in patients with abdominal pain. This study provides empirical evidence supporting the benefits of autogenic relaxation therapy as a non-pharmacologi approach to managing acute pain in patients with abdominal pain.

Abstract

PHBS (Clean and Healthy Living Behavior) involves conscious actions by individuals, families, and communities to maintain health and prevent disease. Increasing awareness and attitudes toward PHBS can be achieved through health education programs, including the use of leaflets to enhance knowledge and attitudes among the elderly and pre-elderly. This study aims to increase awareness and understanding of the elderly and pre-elderly about PHBS in Jogokariyan Village RW 10. This quasi-experimental study used a one-group pretest-posttest design in Jogokariyan Village RW 10 (February 2025). The population included all elderly and pre-elderly residents, with 27 respondents selected through purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using univariate and bivariate methods, including paired sample t-tests. The average attitude score increased from 30.56 in the pretest to 32.07 in the posttest, showing a difference of 1.51. Univariate analysis showed that after PHBS education using leaflet media, 70.4% of households showed good to very good knowledge compared to the pre-education level.Likewise, the percentage of households that have a positive attitude towards PHBS increased from 40.7% to 63.0% after receiving leaflet-based education. The results of the paired t-test on the knowledge variable obtained a p value of 0.000 (> 0.05) and an attitude of 0.002 (> 0.05). This shows that there is a significant difference between knowledge and attitudes before and after health education using leaflet media. This shows a significant relationship between attitudes, knowledge and PHBS education of the elderly and pre-elderly using leaflet media. Based on the results of counseling activities using leaflet media, it can be concluded that the use of this educational media has proven effective in increasing knowledge and attitudes about Clean and Healthy Living Behavior in the elderly and pre-elderly in Jogokariyan Village.
