Abstract

Teachers play a vital role in the education system because they are the ones who are actually responsible for educating students in the classroom. To a large extent, student achievement and teacher satisfaction determine the quality of education. The quality of learning and student learning outcomes are directly influenced by the level of motivation of instructors, which in turn influences their level of enthusiasm when carrying out their duties. With this study, we will better understand how the principals of Tunjungseto Elementary School can inspire their teachers to do their best work. The primary methods of qualitative data collection for this study were interviews, participant observation, and written notes. The study showed that the involvement of the principal in providing ongoing guidance, incentives, and support has a significant impact on the growth of teacher motivation to perform well. Good principals know what they are doing when it comes to encouraging professional development for teachers and cultivating a fun workplace. Motivating teachers to do their best work is an area where principals can make a big difference. To foster an atmosphere that supports teacher professional development, principals must offer clear guidance, inspiration, and ongoing support. If para-administrators are successful in making teachers feel valued and supported in their work, it will show in their motivation and performance in the classroom. How effective principals are in inspiring their staff to perform well depends on a number of factors, including consistent and clear communication, support from management, and adequate resources. Schools with principals who can foster an environment of open communication and who are willing to support improvements in school facilities tend to be happier.

Abstract

Civics is a subject related to recitations of the 1945 Constitution, Pancasila, and ceremonies. In fact, Civics is an educational program in which the core is political democracy, and the output is a good and intelligent citizen living according to the goals of the state, becoming a citizen who is aware of his rights and obligations, as well as a nationalist citizen or love for the country. The results of the study aim to describe the analysis of the implementation of Civics teacher learning in the formation of the nationalist character of Adventist Abepura Junior High School students. The method in this research is qualitative, combined with a descriptive approach. The data collection process was carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the formation of the character of nationalism at Adventist Junior High School Abepura is not simple, especially since the majority of students are native Papuans. Various obstacles, namely a very different history, significantly in relation to the Netherlands compared to other regions in Indonesia. Second, there have been ongoing political tensions since integration into the Republic of Indonesia. Third, there are problems with the implementation of special autonomy policies and the use of special autonomy funds. The approach to conflict must be improved, even if it does not instantly solve the problem. At least, the pattern of violence should be reduced slowly in order to meet the same intersection for an act of peace.

Abstract

The principal's transformational leadership style is a significant factor in improving teacher work effectiveness. In addition to transformational leadership, a deep understanding of the curriculum is crucial for teachers in carrying out their duties. Work motivation is also a key factor that contributes to improving teacher performance. This study examines the relationship between school culture, transformational leadership, and teacher performance in the Special Sports Class (KKO) in Bantul Regency at the junior high school level. This study uses a quantitative survey method involving 114 teachers from five Special Sports Class (KKO) schools at the junior high school level in Bantul Regency. Data collection was carried out using a Likert-based questionnaire, and data analysis was carried out using SmartPLS to test the relationship between the variables studied. The results of the study indicate that work motivation has a significant effect on teacher performance.Meanwhile, transformational leadership and curriculum understanding do not have a significant direct effect on teacher performance. However, school culture is a mediator that strengthens the relationship between these variables and teacher performance. The implications of this study provide practical insights for policymakers in the field of education, especially in developing strategies to improve the effectiveness of principal leadership and create a school environment that supports teacher professional growth. Principals are expected to adopt a more effective transformational leadership style by providing teachers with support, inspiration, and intellectual stimulation. In addition, strengthening a positive school culture through cooperation, communication, and appreciation of teacher achievement is a strategic step to improve teacher motivation and overall performance.

Abstract

Digital technology has revolutionized many aspects of life in recent decades, including education. Conventional teaching methods are increasingly being replaced by more participatory, interactive, and technology-based approaches. The digitalization of education involves using new devices and demands a change in perspective, increased competence, and flexibility in facing evolving trends. In this context, this study aims to explore how teachers' perceptions of technology and their level of self-efficacy affect their ability to integrate technology into classroom teaching. One of the key factors in creating effective education in the digital era is the readiness and willingness of educators to adopt technology. This study used a quantitative survey method involving 150 teachers as respondents. Data were collected through a questionnaire that measured perceptions of technology, levels of self-efficacy, and the extent to which technology has been adopted in the learning process. The results showed that positive perceptions of technology and confidence in using it were the main factors in the success of technology integration in the classroom. The findings also revealed that teachers need intensive training to effectively understand and feel more comfortable using technology. Thus, this research is expected to be the basis for developing more structured policies and training programs to improve technology integration in education and support more innovative and practical learning in the future.

Abstract

Student learning satisfaction is a significant indicator of success in the educational process. As learning facilitators, educators play an essential role in fostering a conducive academic environment. This study examines the influence of responsible leadership and work-life balance among teaching staff in enhancing student learning satisfaction. Responsible leadership, which highlights the principles of social responsibility and ethics, significantly impacts the quality of teacher-student interactions. Work-life balance enables teachers to carry out their duties effectively without undue stress. This study used a quantitative approach through a survey of 200 students. This study's findings indicate a significant relationship between responsible leadership and student learning satisfaction. Teachers who apply responsible leadership principles, such as transparency, ethics, and concern for student welfare, can create better relationships with students. Responsible leadership facilitates more effective communication between teachers and students and creates a sense of security and emotional support, ultimately contributing to increased learning satisfaction. In addition, the study's results also revealed that work-life balance positively impacts the quality of students' learning experiences. Teachers who can balance their personal and professional lives tend to be more focused, less stressed, and more ready to give their full attention to students. This study shows that teachers who balance work and personal life have higher levels of job satisfaction, which is reflected in how they manage their classes and interactions with students. Teachers who are more satisfied with their work-life balance are able to create a more positive atmosphere, which can increase student learning satisfaction.

Abstract

Learning interest is one of the crucial aspects of education, especially in achieving learning goals. Learning interest can be interpreted as the interest or desire of students to be actively involved in the learning process. The learning interest of elementary school students is one of the critical factors that influence the success of the education process. However, in reality, many elementary school students show low learning interest. This study uses Classroom Action Research (CAR). This research was conducted at SDN 124388 Pematangsiantar in grade V students. The data needed in this study were data on students' learning interests before and after using the PjBL learning model. A research instrument was used to obtain the data in question, and it was a learning interest questionnaire. There was an increase in students' learning interest by 68.75% before and after applying the PjBL learning model in Mathematics learning for grade V students at UPTD SDN 124388 Pematangsiantar. This increase was seen in the pre-cycle stage of students with high learning interest, as many as 3 students, and 13 with low learning interest. Meanwhile, in the first cycle stage, 14 students had high learning interest, and 2 had low learning interest. Considering how vital learning interest is in achieving learning objectives, teachers are expected to carefully choose a learning model suitable for the material and the characteristics of students participating in learning.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) describe the contextual-based thematic learning plan that is implemented in MIN 6 Kota Padang, (2) describe contextual contextual teaching-learning in MIN 6 Kota Padang, (3)   describe contextual-based thematic learning evaluation in MIN 6 Kota Padang. Methods This study is a qualitative descriptive study that describes phenomena in the field without treatment. The object of this research is the students of grade V MIN 6 Kota Padang. Sources of data obtained from teachers and students of class V. In addition, learning tools are used when learning is implemented.   The primary data collection techniques are observation, documentation, and interviews as research support techniques. The results showed that contextual thematic learning planning at MIN 6 Kota Padang was good enough and run as it should be. Implementing contextually thematic learning at MIN 6 Kota Padang is still not by the planning. The practice of a contextual approach to thematic learning is still less than optimal because teachers are less well-understood when applying a contextual-based thematic approach. Finally, the thematic learning evaluation is implemented using the assessment standards. Learning evaluation includes assessing student learning outcomes, which include aspects of attitude, knowledge, and skills.

Abstract

Mathematics is a field of study that plays a vital role in various aspects of life. As an essential part of education, students are expected to have good mathematical abilities, including the ability to solve mathematical problems. However, they are less able to think critically when solving problems. This is supported by the finding that if the questions given are in the form of multiple choices, they are fully answered, while if the questions given are in the form of essays, many questions are not answered by students. This study uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. This research was conducted at SDN 124388 Pematangsiantar with a sample of 3 fifth-grade students. The data analysis technique in this study used various methods such as interviews, tests, observations, and documentation. Mathematical abilities in solving mathematical problems related to the area and circumference of flat shapes showed striking differences between SR, YN, and EFS students. SR students showed high mathematical abilities, YN had a moderate ability level, and EFS had low skills. This difference is reflected in the analysis of tests, interviews, and observations that the researcher has carried out. Students with high mathematical abilities master the problems in all three questions well. Students can systematically formulate problem-solving plans for the three questions. Students are careful in implementing problem-solving plans and re-checking the problem-solving steps for the three questions. Students classified as having moderate mathematical abilities can only master the problems in the three questions correctly while planning to problem-solve, implementing problem-solving plans, and re-checking the problem-solving steps are not yet able to be implemented so accurately.
