Abstract

Community empowerment is an economic development concept that encompasses community values to build a new paradigm in people-centered, participatory development. With community economic empowerment, it is hoped that the community's life can be improved towards a better life, including basic needs, self-esteem, and freedom. Therefore, the minimum objective of community economic empowerment must prioritize what is referred to as absolute necessities, the minimum requirements to meet basic needs and  essential requirements. This study aims to describe and analyze the process of community economic empowerment in Tlogosari Village, Bondowoso. This study employs a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach. The techniques used in data collection are observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis uses the steps of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that the economic empowerment of the community carried out by the Oyster Mushroom Home Industry is running well. The community of Tlogosari Village has experienced economic improvement, especially for members who have joined the group. This can be seen in various aspects, such as 1) the ownership of their own mushroom houses, 2) the expansion of the business through efforts to enlarge the mushroom houses, 3) increased concern for the community through mushroom cultivation training programs, and 4) increased self-reliance with the emergence of a desire to own their own production tools, leading to greater efficiency and improved results. However, there are still unmet needs, such as the lack of government involvement in the empowerment process, both in terms of activities and meeting needs, resulting in the program not being fully realized. The current solution being pursued is to request production equipment assistance from the government, with the hope that oyster mushroom cultivation activities can be carried out to their full potential.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how the 4P marketing strategy is applied to Tawas Hilya products and to identify the role of Shopee in increasing the sales volume of Tawas Hilya products. The approach used in this study is a qualitative approach. Data was collected through direct observation, in-depth interviews with business owners, employees, and several consumers, as well as documentation from product packaging. The research findings indicate that Tawas Hilya products have good quality in terms of packaging, brand, and logo. The price of Tawas Hilya is also very affordable considering the size and weight of the product. Tawas Hilya products are well-known and their sales have increased because they are sold through the Shopee app by sharing sales links on various social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp.

Abstract

In the business world, especially in the service sector such as motorcycle repair shops, fierce competition makes customer satisfaction a key factor in maintaining loyalty and attracting new customers. The data collection technique used in this study was the distribution of questionnaires. The data analysis method employed multiple linear regression. The research results are as follows: Based on the table, it can be seen that the significance level of 277.864 > 3.093. Therefore, it can be concluded that the F-test > F-table value indicates a significant influence between price and service quality on customer satisfaction. To test the significance of the influence of price and service quality on customer satisfaction, a partial test was conducted when testing the influence of the price variable, which showed that the calculated t-value for (X1) was 3.361, while the t-table value at a 95% confidence level was 2.000. Since the calculated t-value is less than the t-table value, H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, meaning that there is a significant influence between price and customer satisfaction. The service quality variable showed that the calculated t-value for (X2) was 3.291, while the t-table value at a 95% confidence level was 2.000. Since the calculated t-value < t-table, H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, which means that there is a significant influence between service quality and customer satisfaction.

Abstract

Employee welfare determines the level of success of a company to grow and develop. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of welfare and work motivation on employee performance. The data collection techniques used in this study are questionnaires and interviews. The data analysis method used multiple linear regression. The research results showed the following: The calculated F value was 6.114, while the F table result in the distribution table with a 5% error rate was 2.96. This means that the calculated F value is greater than the table F value (6.114 > 3.32), so H0 is rejected or Ha is accepted, which can be interpreted as meaning that, overall, the variables of well-being and motivation have a significant influence on employee performance. The t-test for the welfare variable (X1) yielded a calculated t-value of 3.769 with a significance level of 0.001. Since the calculated t-value is greater than the table t-value (3.769 > 2.042), H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, which means that the independent variable has a partial effect. In other words, the first hypothesis in this study states that the welfare variable influences employee performance. The t-test for the work motivation variable (X2) yielded a t-value of 4.756 with a significance level of 0.000. Since the t-value is greater than the critical t-value (4.756 > 2.042), H0 is rejected and H2 is accepted, indicating that the independent variable has a partial effect. In other words, the second hypothesis in this study states that the work motivation variable influences employee performance.

Abstract

The Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) is a vital safety device used by Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) personnel during rescue and firefighting operations at the airport. This study aims to analyze the SCBA maintenance process to ensure equipment reliability and personnel safety at Kualanamu International Airport Medan. This research employs a qualitative descriptive method, with data collection techniques including direct observation, in-depth interviews, and field documentation conducted during the author’s On the Job Training (OJT) from October 2024 to February 2025. Research instruments such as interview guides and observation sheets were utilized to identify weaknesses in the SCBA maintenance system. The results reveal that the SCBA maintenance process is not yet optimal, as indicated by the absence of a specific checklist and standardized inspection procedures for each SCBA component. Furthermore, the location of the clean air refill compressor, which is placed near the vehicle parking area, poses a risk of air contamination within the SCBA cylinders. Additionally, the number of available SCBA units does not meet the minimum standards stipulated in Regulation PR 30 of 2022. The proposed solutions in this study include the development of a standardized inspection logbook, procurement of SCBA units with uniform specifications, and the construction of a dedicated room for compressor placement.

Abstract

Physical fitness is a crucial factor in supporting the effectiveness of Airport Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) personnel, particularly in emergency situations at the airport. One physiological indicator used to objectively measure physical fitness is VO₂ Max, which refers to the body’s maximum capacity to utilize oxygen during high-intensity physical activity. This study aims to analyze VO₂ Max levels as an indicator of physical fitness among ARFF personnel at Yogyakarta International Airport, using a descriptive quantitative method with a total sampling technique involving 70 active personnel. Measurements were conducted through the Multistage Fitness Test (beep test) and classified based on established fitness standards, showing that 37.1% were in the “good” category, 24.3% in “fair”, 24.3% in “poor”, 12.9% in “very poor”, and only 1.4% in “very good”, with none achieving the “excellent” category. These findings indicate that most personnel have not reached the optimal fitness level required for high-risk operational duties, and therefore recommend optimizing VO₂ Max-based physical training programs to improve operational readiness and workplace safety in the airport environment.

Abstract

This study aims to design an auxiliary tool called the Innovative Hose Washer Nozzle as a solution for maintaining fire hoses within the Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) Study Program at the Indonesian Aviation Polytechnic Curug. The main problem addressed is the manual cleaning of fire hoses, which requires considerable time and effort and may reduce the hose’s lifespan. Using a Research and Development (R&D) method based on a simplified Borg & Gall model comprising six stages, the tool was designed, validated by experts and users, and tested in an operational setting. The test results show that the Innovative Hose Washer Nozzle significantly improves the effectiveness and efficiency of hose cleaning, achieving an 80% cleanliness level, reducing cleaning time to only 5 minutes, and reduced cleaning time to 5 minutes with fewer personnel, achieving 80% cleanliness and 77.5% feasibility score. This innovation contributes to the improvement of safety equipment maintenance, operational readiness, and work efficiency for cadets during both training and emergency operations.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the performance of the main firefighting vehicle, Foam tender Type II Morita MJ 10 (1988), operated by the Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) unit at Halim Perdanakusuma Airport in supporting aviation safety. A descriptive qualitative method was employed through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate a significant decline in performance parameters such as Acceleration, top speed, and discharge rate, all of which fall below the operational standards set by Regulation PR 30 of 2022. The vehicle's age—over 35 years—has contributed to decreased technical reliability and effectiveness, particularly in emergency response situations. The study concludes that vehicle rejuvenation or replacement is urgently needed to ensure optimal readiness and safety in airport emergency operations.

Abstract

The increasingly intense and competitive competition among companies in the business world has encouraged business actors to continuously strive to increase sales volume in order to maximize a company's sales profits. This study used multiple regression analysis and SPSS 23 software. The results of this study indicate that Price (X1) obtained a significant probability value of 0.003 from the SPSS test. Since the significance probability is less than 0.05, it can be concluded that price has a negative and significant effect on sales volume. Promotion (X2) obtained a significant probability value of 0.00 from the SPSS test. Since the significance probability is less than 0.05, it can be concluded that promotion has a positive and significant effect on sales volume. Distribution Channel (X3) The results of the test with SPSS obtained a significant probability value of 0.010. Since the significance probability is less than 0.05, it can be concluded that the distribution channel has a positive and significant effect on sales volume. Based on Table 5, the results of the coefficient of determination test obtained an Adjusted R Square value of 0.270, meaning that 27% of MSME sales volume in CFD is influenced by the variables of price, promotion, and distribution channel, while the remaining 73% is influenced by other variables. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and customer satisfaction in product recommendation systems on consumer purchasing decisions in e-commerce platforms.. This research employs a quantitative approach with purposive sampling, involving 160 respondents who have experienced AI-based product recommendations in e-commerce. Data were collected through online questionnaires and analyzed using smartpls 3. The results reveal that artificial intelligence significantly influences purchasing decisions on a partial basis. Likewise, customer satisfaction also shows a positive and significant effect. Simultaneously, both artificial intelligence and customer satisfaction have a significant impact on consumer purchasing decisions. These findings provide valuable implications for e-commerce platforms to develop more accurate, relevant, and user-centered recommendation systems.
