Abstract

It is very important for fathers and mothers to train their children to focus from an early age because many fathers and mothers make mistakes when introducing basic learning to their children but forget to teach them how to train their children's focus first. If children are used to practicing focus from an early age, they will easily accept various stimulation and basic learning that parents and mothers give their children at home, and children will get used to good focus. Training children to focus is not easy, and it cannot be done quickly, it needs to be gradual and takes time, so parents need to be patient so that children are able to focus well, which will affect the child's growth and development at home and at home. The research method uses descriptive qualitative so that it can describe the results of the research that has been carried out by the author and the research location at PAUD An-Nur. The data collection technique was direct observation at An-Nur PAUD, after which the author conducted interviews and documentation. It is hoped that the results of this research will serve as a guide for prospective mothers and fathers and those who are already fathers and mothers in educating their children and being able to train their children to focus from an early age because children's focus is related to concentration so that they get used to being at home with their fathers and mothers.

Abstract

Fine motor development is one of the developments that can be honed in early childhood. Salt painting media is a medium that can develop children's fine motor skills. However, the fine motor skills of children at the IT Baitusshalihin Ulee Kareng Kindergarten in Banda Aceh are not yet fully developed. Most children still have difficulty using writing tools, imitating shapes, forming patterns, and cutting out patterns, and they even still have difficulty exploring various tools/media. This research aims to determine whether salt painting media can develop children's fine motor skills at the IT Baitusshalihin Ulee Kareng Kindergarten, Banda Aceh. The research sample was children aged 4-5 years which involved children from group A2 as the control class and A3 as the experimental class, totaling 15 children. This type of research is experimental using quasi-experimental analysis. This research used a pre-test-post-test control group design. Based on calculations using t-test statistics. Then using salt painting media can develop children's fine motor skills as obtained by t count > t table, namely 3.89 > 1.70 so that the alternative hypothesis Ha is accepted and the hypothesis H0 is rejected. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of salt painting media can develop children's fine motor.

Abstract

Early literacy is a child's ability to interact with information across media, forming a foundation for cognitive, language, and social development. Research highlights that bedtime storytelling plays an important role in stimulating children's literacy development. However, do parents have the same perspective? This study aims to explore parents' perception of bedtime storytelling as a tool to foster early literacy in children. A mix method was used, with data collected through surveys containing indicators to measure parental perceptions. These findings reveal three important points: First, parents generally have the same and conceptually accurate that bedtime storytelling is important. Second, there is variation in parents' understanding of early literacy, with few fully understanding the concept. Third, parents have a positive perception of the role of bedtime storytelling in building early literacy, although they face challenges such as limited leisure time and a lack of effective storytelling techniques. The study emphasizes the importance of proactive efforts by parents and other stakeholders to overcome these barriers and include bedtime storytelling as a routine habit. This practice can serve as a powerful and fun way to improve children's early literacy skills, fostering a lifelong love of learning and reading.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a traditional game module of the Kepulauan Riau as part of a project to strengthen the profile of Pancasila students in early childhood. This study uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model, which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The results of the study indicate that this module is effective in increasing children's interest in traditional games while strengthening characters that are in line with Pancasila values such as mutual cooperation, creativity, and cultural diversity. Validation by experts shows that this module has very good feasibility. The trial was conducted in three PAUD institutions in Tanjungpinang and Bintan, with results showing positive responses from students and teachers. This module helps reduce children's dependence on gadgets and introduces them to local cultural values through games. Thus, this module can be a practical guide for teachers in learning activities to preserve traditional games and shape children's characters under the profile of Pancasila students.
