Abstract

This animated caricature anecdote text teaching material is an anecdote text teaching material accompanied by animated caricature images. The purpose of developing this teaching material is to determine the development of students' writing skills so that students can relate the material and create anecdotal texts that are related to students' daily lives. This type of research uses the method used, namely Research and Development (R&D) developed by Branch with the ADDIE approach. This development model has five stages of development, including analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Data collection is carried out by searching for related references from various relevant sources and in accordance with the current independent curriculum, then determining the indicators to be achieved based on the flow of learning objectives (ATP) and learning outcomes (CP) in accordance with the learning materials used in the study. While the instrument used in data collection in this study is a questionnaire. This instrument was developed through product research looking at the learning aspects, material content, and media aspects. Based on the results of the data analysis, it was concluded that the new product resulting from the development was suitable for use because it was in the "Very Good" category and the level of product effectiveness on student understanding was in the "Capable" category.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan aplikasi Quizizz terhadap kemampuan memahami teks laporan hasil observasi pada siswa kelas VIII SMP Al-Washliyah 8 Medan tahun pembelajaran 2025–2026. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain One Group Pretest–Posttest. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 32 siswa yang dipilih secara simple random sampling. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes kemampuan memahami teks laporan hasil observasi dan lembar observasi aktivitas siswa. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji Paired Sample t-test dengan bantuan SPSS versi 3.00. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat peningkatan signifikan antara nilai rata-rata pretest (76,69) dan posttest (80,53) dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05. Dengan demikian, penggunaan aplikasi Quizizz berpengaruh positif terhadap kemampuan memahami teks laporan hasil observasi siswa. Aplikasi ini terbukti efektif dalam menciptakan suasana belajar yang interaktif, menyenangkan, dan meningkatkan motivasi siswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul “Tindak Tutur Ekspresif Guru dalam Proses Pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia Siswa Kelas VII J SMP Negeri 5 Kupang.” Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bentuk, fungsi, dan makna tindak tutur ekspresif yang digunakan oleh guru dalam proses pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di kelas VII SMP Negeri 5 Kupang. Metode yang digunakan ialah metode kualitatif deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini ialah teknik observasi, wawancara, dan rekam.Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah model analisis interaktif. Hasil penelitian menyatakan sebagai berikut: Pertama, bentuk tindak tutur ekspresif yang ditemukan sebanyak 7 tindak tutur. Bentuk tindak tutur ekspresif ucapan selamat, ucapan terima kasih, meminta maaf, memuji, mengkritik, mengeluh dan menyindir. Kedua, fungsi tindak tutur ekspresif mencerminkan bagaimana guru menyesuaikan penggunaan bahasa dengan tujuan komunikasi di kelas. Ketiga, makna tindak tutur ekspresif menunjukkan adanya hubungan emosional yang dinamis antara guru dan siswa.

Abstract

The focus of this research is “How are the forms of compliance and violation of the principle of cooperation between characters ini the dialogue of the novel Orang-orang Oetimu by Felix K. Nesi”. The aim of this research is to describe the forms of compliance and violation of the principle of cooperation between characters ini the dialogue of the novel Orang-orang Oetimu by Felix K. Nesi. The teory used is Grice’s theory of the principle of cooperation, because what is analyzed is the speech (dialogue) between characters in the novel. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method. The results of the study show that there are 37 dialogue excerpts analyzed, consisting of 22 dialogue excerpts that comply with the principle of cooperation with details of 8 maxims of quantity, 5 maxims of quality, 8 maxims of relevance, 1 maxim of manner, and as many as 15 dialogue excerpts that violate the principle of cooperation with details of 5 violations of the maxim of quantity, 2 violations of the maxim of quality, 2 violations of the maxim of relevance and 6 violations of the maxim of manner.

Abstract

The focus of this study is How well do seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 20 Kupang write expository texts? The purpose of this study is to analyze the ability of seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 20 Kupang to write expository texts. The theory used is writing theory, because what is measured in this study is the students' ability to write expository texts based on their own reasoning skills and knowledge gained through social interaction. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative. In this study, the researcher chose material about expository texts by considering the structure and linguistic aspects of expository texts. Expository texts are texts that contain explanations of information or knowledge based on facts about a particular topic presented in written form. Based on the results of the analysis conducted on 23 students in class VII A of SMP Negeri 20 Kupang, the ability to write expository texts with attention to the structure and linguistic aspects of expository texts can be said to be quite capable because 73% (17 students) were able to write fantasy texts with a score of 70-100. This is evidenced by the percentage of students who passed or achieved a minimum passing grade of 70 or above, totaling 17 students with a percentage of 73.91%, while the number of students who did not pass was 6 students with a percentage of 26.86%.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the personality of the main character, Waleka, in Pasola, a novel by Maria Matildis Banda, through the lens of Sigmund Freud’s psychoanalytic theory. This theory emphasizes three structures of personality, id, ego, and superego which dynamically interact in shaping human behavior. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method with a reading-and-note-taking technique. The primary data source is the novel Pasola by Maria Matildis Banda, while secondary sources consist of relevant books, journals, and previous studies. The findings reveal that Waleka’s personality is predominantly influenced by the id aspect, manifested in his desires for power, polygamy, and the preservation of social prestige. The ego aspect is reflected in his efforts to adapt to the social environment through rational justifications of his actions, whereas the superego emerges in the form of guilt and remorse for past mistakes. These three aspects interact to form a complex personality dynamic, illustrating an inner conflict between instinctual drives, moral awareness, and sociocultural pressures within the main character.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji fungsi strategi bahasa Indonesia dalam konten endorsement TikTok melalui studi kasus influencer Reizuka Ari. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan analisis kualitatif berdasarkan wacana sepuluh video promosi, penelitian ini menemukan bahwa beragam bahasa nonformal dengan campur kode, gaya hiperbolik, dan ekspresi emosional digunakan secara konsisten sebagai alat persuasi. Strategi efektivitas persuasif dibangun melalui penerapan Ethos (kredibilitas), Pathos (kekuatan emosional), dan Logos (argumentasi rasional). Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa bahasa bukan sekadar media komunikasi, melainkan instrumen retorika yang membentuk kedekatan psikologis audiens dan meningkatkan niat pembelian dalam ekosistem pemasaran digital.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the role of civic education in building sustainable environmental awareness among students. The research method used is qualitative with a literature study approach, namely by examining various scientific sources such as journal articles, books, previous research results, and relevant policy documents. The data were analysed descriptively through the stages of reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing to obtain a comprehensive understanding of the relationship between PKn and the formation of ecological awareness. The results showed that civic education serves as a means of fostering moral attitudes, social responsibility, and ecological awareness among students. Civic education shapes civic knowledge, civic skills, and civic dispositions relevant to environmental issues, thereby fostering understanding, skills, and attitudes of concern for sustainable coexistence. In contextual and applied learning, such as project-based learning and the application of the Pancasila Student Profile, students can actively participate in recycling, greening, and energy conservation activities as a tangible manifestation of environmentally-conscious citizenship values. Effective strategies that can be implemented include the application of an eco-civic education approach, the strengthening of character education based on Pancasila values, and participatory learning that involves students in social action and ecological reflection. The benefits of implementing environment-based PKn include the formation of an environmentally conscious character, increased ecological literacy, and contribution to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of the drill to drill method to improve the writing skills of class VIII SMP IT An-Nafis Teluk Mengkudu students. The sample for this research was 19 students in class VIII in the control class and 20 students in the experimental class in class VIII of SMP IT An-Nafis Teluk Mengkudu, which was determined using random sampling. The method used in this research is an experiment with a Two-Group-Pre-test and Post-test research design. From data analysis, the average score (pre-test) of the control class was 61.35789 and (post-test) of the control class was 68.20526, while the average score (pre-test) of the experimental class was 60.8 and (post-test) of the experimental class was 85.85. Before the hypothesis test was carried out, prerequisite analysis tests were carried out, namely the normality test and homogeneity test, the normality test results were L_count < L_tabel (0.15073 < 0.381) and the homogeneity test results were So Fcount < Ftable, namely 0.187 < 2.18. Based on the results of data analysis, it was found that the post-test data for the control class and experimental class were normally distributed and homogeneous. Thus, it can be concluded that because t count > t table, namely 2,292 > 1,687, the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. This proves that there is a significant influence of the drill to drill method in improving students' writing skills.

Abstract

The focus of this study is “How well can eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 20 Kupang write persuasive texts?” The purpose of this study is to determine the ability of eighth-grade students at SMP 20 Kupang to write persuasive texts using images. The benefits of this study are theoretical and practical. The method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive method with 23 eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 20 Kupang as the subjects. The research instrument used is the students' work. Data collection was carried out using a test technique. The data analysis technique was to test the collected data. The results showed that out of 23 students, only 12 students were able to write persuasive texts, while the structure of the students' text in terms of issue recognition reached 26.9%, 35.2% in the argument sequence aspect, 29.1% in the appeal statement aspect, and 30.4% in the reaffirmation aspect. Based on the data analysis results, it can be concluded that the ability of eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 20 Kupang in writing persuasive texts using image media is in the less capable category.
