Abstract

Abstract Spiritual intelligence is one of the important aspects in the formation of students' character and personality in the modern era full of challenges. Sufism, as part of the Islamic teachings that emphasizes the purification of the heart and the approach to Allah, has a strategic role in forming a strong spiritual dimension. This research aims to examine the role of Sufism morality in developing students' spiritual intelligence. The method used is a literature study with a descriptive qualitative approach. The results of the study show that the values of Sufism such as sincerity, tawadhu', patience, zuhud, and muraqabah are able to form a calmer, wiser, and responsible student person, both in academic and social life. Sufism provides a solid moral and spiritual foundation, which is urgently needed in dealing with the moral crisis and value degradation that is rampant among the younger generation. Therefore, the integration of Sufism teachings in higher education is a strategic step in the holistic development of students' spiritual intelligence.

Abstract

This research is motivated by Maurice Bucaille's position as an orientalist who tries to compare the wording of the Qur'an with the Bible and Modern Science. Research on this book was conducted to find out how Maurice Bucaille thinks about the story of the flood in the book The Bible, the Qur'an and Science. The type of research used in this study is library research. The data used in this study comes directly from the Qur'an as a reference for verses and the book The Bible, the Qur'an and Science as a reference for Maurice Bucaille's thoughts on the history of the flood. The data collection technique used in this study is the form of documentation, where the presentation of the data focuses on documents in the form of writings, books, journals and pictures as attachments. The results of this study are that according to Maurice Bucaille, the flood was a special punishment sent down to the people of the prophet Noah. This seems inconsistent with the history of the Qur'an where the Qur'an has mentioned that a flood had happened to Pharaoh and his people and had also hit the Saba people.

Abstract

The intellectuality of a mufasir influences his tendency in interpreting the Qur'an. Although this tafsir book has various styles, al-Bai??wi seems to have theological tendencies that are manifested in his tafsir. This study aims to examine the theological nuances presented by al-Bai??wi in his tafsir and analyze the characteristics and methodology of his tafsir. This research uses literature with a historical-factual approach model to reveal the philosophical conception of the tafsir figure in his work and the inductive method to see the systematic method used by the mufasir in formulating his work. The results of this study indicate that al-Baidhawi's interpretation methodology in his work Tafs?r Anw?r al-Tanz?l wa Asr?r al-Ta'w?l uses the tahil?li (analytical) approach by combining tafs?r bi al-ra'y and bi al-ma'??r. His interpretation is characterized by linguistic, fiqh, and 'aq?dah (theological). Regarding theological nuances as one of the main points of study in this article, it can be concluded that Tafsir al-Bai??wi, which is influenced by the theological school of ahl al-sunnah wa al-jam?'ah, especially the Asy'?riyyah - al-Bai??wi emphasizes the rejection of literal interpretation (tajs?m) of God's attributes by maintaining a balance between the text of the Qur'an and avoiding anthropomorphism. Although al-Zamakhshari's thoughts are widely used by al-Bai??wi in his tafsir, the Muktazilah ideology in al-Zamakhshari's Tafsir is abandoned by al-Bai??wi, and al-Bai??wi even criticizes the Muktazilah theological school.

Abstract

Integration of science and religion or faith is important in the modern educational system. Education based on religious integration can help students not only to understand worldly knowledge, but also to have a deep spiritual awareness so that they are able to live a more meaningful and responsible life. The integration of science and faith can be applied to various aspects of education, such as curriculum, learning methods, and the role of educators. This research aims to explore the role of religious integration in modern education. The method used in this research is library research. The results show that the synergy between science and faith or the integration of Islamic teachings in modern education is a strategic step to produce students who are not only intellectually intelligent but also have noble morals and a balanced personality. Islamic education views knowledge as a means to know God and to understand life more fully. Therefore, knowledge and faith must go hand in hand and reinforce each other. Through the process of incorporating Islamic values into every aspect of learning, students not only gain knowledge, but are also guided to become responsible, honest, and highly ethical individuals.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the work and thoughts of Tuan Guru Kyai Haji Muhammad Zainuddin Abdul Madjid in the context of Islamic education and his contribution to the nation's moral development through Nahdlatul Wathan. The method used is qualitative research with a library research model, where data is collected through literature searches on the Dimensions platform and Google Scholar. To analyse the themes and linkages in the previous discussion, the author used the VOSviewer application. The results show that, firstly, Tuan Guru is a functional elite figure in Islamic society who not only acts as a cleric, but also as a spiritual and social guide. Secondly, Nahdlatul Wathan educational institutions have characteristics as general education institutions based on Islamic values, with a focus on forming a generation of faith and piety, as reflected in the slogan ‘The main thing is NW, the main thing is NW Iman and Taqwa.’ Third, Tuan Guru's thoughts and struggles in establishing Nahdlatul Wathan reflect a great effort to form national cadres with Islamic character and national spirit, as stated in his monumental work Hizb Nahdlatul Wathan. Thus, the contribution of Tuan Guru KH. Muhammad Zainuddin Abdul Madjid through Nahdlatul Wathan is not only important in the field of education and religion, but also plays a major role in the moral and spiritual development of the Indonesian nation.

Abstract

This study aims to trace the status and quality of hadith about qurban and its understanding as stated in the Al-Azharan Guidebook, which is the official guide for students in the Al-Azhar Foundation. The method used is descriptive qualitative with a library research approach. The main source of this research is the Al-Azharan Guidebook, while supporting sources include Mu'jam Al-Mufahras lil Al-Hadith Al-Nabawiy, Sunan Abu Daud, hadith commentaries, rijalul hadith literature, and relevant scientific articles. Digital data searches were conducted through Dimensions and Google Scholar, while visualisation of relationships between journals was analysed using the VOSviewer application. The results showed that the hadith referenced in the book has a valid sanad and a valid matan, with all its narrators categorised as tsiqah by hadith scholars. The hadith confirms the validity of the qurban after the Eid al-Adha prayer and explains the special case of Abu Burdah as an exception. The book shows a tendency towards a textual understanding of the hadith, focusing on adherence to the shar'i procedures of qurban. However, there are shortcomings in the presentation of the hadith, especially the lack of a complete sanad and matan, which could potentially lead to misunderstandings. Therefore, it is recommended that the presentation of hadith in education books should be done fully and accurately to maintain the integrity of students' religious understanding.

Abstract

This study was driven by observations that revealed several issues: students showed low enthusiasm for learning due to long study hours, some left and re-entered the classroom out of boredom, and others became sleepy during lessons because they were tired and struggled to concentrate. The purpose of this study was to assess the contribution of the full day program to students’ learning motivation at SD Negeri 01 Pauh Kurai Taji. A quantitative method with an experimental approach was used. The study population consisted of all 323 students at SD Negeri 01 Pauh Kurai Taji, with a sample of 39 students. Data were collected using a questionnaire. The data analysis included normality tests, homogeneity tests, and hypothesis tests. The study’s results indicated that the full day program had a positive contribution to students’ learning motivation. This conclusion was based on the results of the T-Test, where the significance value was 19.238 > 0.05 and the t count was 19.238 < t table 2.024. This means H0 was accepted and Ha was rejected, indicating that the full day school program contributed to improving students’ motivation to learn. The additional school hours allowed for more activities that helped increase student motivation.

Abstract

Perkembangan Artificial Intelligence (AI) telah memberikan kontribusi besar dalam berbagai sektor, termasuk dalam bidang konseling. Dalam konseling Islam, integrasi AI membuka peluang baru untuk menghadirkan layanan bimbingan spiritual dan psikologis yang lebih cepat, personal, serta mudah diakses. Teknologi platform digital berbasis machine learning memungkinkan perluasan jangkauan layanan, khususnya kepada generasi digital. Namun, pemanfaatan AI dalam konseling Islam juga menimbulkan sejumlah tantangan etis, seperti potensi distorsi ajaran, hilangnya sentuhan kemanusiaan, penyalahgunaan otoritas keagamaan oleh sistem non-manusia, serta ancaman terhadap privasi data pengguna. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis secara kritis peluang dan tantangan tersebut melalui pendekatan literatur kualitatif. Ditekankan pentingnya keterlibatan para pakar agama dan etika dalam implementasi AI agar teknologi ini selaras dengan syariat Islam dan mampu memperkuat peran konselor manusia, bukan menggantikannya.

Abstract

The success of student learning during class learning is greatly influenced by interests and emotional intelligence so that teachers must understand students' learning needs and the factors that influence them. This study investigates the effect of learning interest and emotional intelligence on students' learning outcomes. The research employed a quantitative approach using survey methods and a cross-sectional design. The study population consisted of all seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 2 Kota Pariaman, from which a sample of 40 students was selected using simple random sampling. The research instruments included a Likert-scale questionnaire to measure learning interest and emotional intelligence, and academic records to assess learning outcomes. Data were analyzed using simple and multiple regression analyses with SPSS version 25. The results indicated a significant positive effect of both learning interest and emotional intelligence on students' learning outcomes in social sciences. It is recommended that seventh-grade social studies teachers assess students' learning interests and emotional intelligence before instruction. This will enable adapting teaching methods to better meet students' needs and enhance learning outcomes

Abstract

This study supports the three alternative hypotheses developed that prove that service quality and religiosity simultaneously (together) have a significant effect on people's decisions about making transactions at Bank Syariah Mandiri, Pariaman Branch. This study aims to determine the factors that influence public decisions to transact at Bank Mandiri Syariah Pariaman, which is limited to the quality of service and religiosity. The population in this study were customers of Bank Syariah Mandiri Pariaman with a total sample size of 60 respondents. Where the sampling technique used is accidental sampling. In order to test the hypothesis, the t, f and r tests were carried out. The results showed that the factors of service quality and religiosity have an effect on people's decisions in making transactions at Bank Syariah Mandiri Pariaman. The contribution of the influence of service quality and religiosity variables on people's decisions to transact at Bank Syariah Mandiri Pariaman is 33.4%, while the rest (100% -33.4% = 66.6%) is the influenced by other variables that are not included in this research model.
