Abstract

Creative writing skills in the era of digital disruption face challenges in the form of shallow learning and dependence on technology automation. This study aims to analyze the effect of implementing a deep learning approach on enhancing students' creative writing skills and how this strategy can maintain the originality of works amidst the widespread use of digital technology. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with lecturers and students, participatory observation in the learning process, and document analysis of creative writing drafts. Data analysis was conducted qualitatively in stages, including data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions.  Research results indicate that the implementation of deep learning triggers a shift in students' creative processes from superficial writing toward the synthesis of more complex meanings. Digital technology transforms its role from merely a typing aid into a thinking partner that expands the reach of imagination. This approach significantly strengthens the originality and character of students' writing, preventing it from being trapped in the standardization of digital content. The conclusion of this study affirms that deep learning is an effective pedagogical strategy to transform creative writing skills into higher-quality, reflective, and adaptive abilities in response to technological developments.

Abstract

This study aimed to enhance the mathematical efficacy of secondary school students through the implementation of the SAVI (Somatic, Auditory, Visual, and Intellectual) learning model. The study used a quasi-experimental approach with a non-equivalent control group design, involving final-year students at SMA Negeri 1 Sedayu. The sample was determined using cluster random sampling and divided into one experimental group and one control group. Data on self-efficacy was collected using a validated questionnaire and analysed using a t-test. The results of the study showed that the SAVI learning model significantly increased self-efficacy in students compared to conventional learning (p = 0.020 < 0.05). The N-Gain value of 0.37 indicates an improvement in the moderate category for the experimental group. These findings suggest that SAVI learning, which integrates various learning modalities, is effective in building students' self-efficacy through active and collaborative learning experiences.

Abstract

Social Studies learning in the eighth-grade curriculum at SMP Negeri 4 Kubung requires active participation and the ability of students to engage dynamically with social phenomena. However, traditional teaching methods still dominate, leading to a more passive approach among students, despite the availability of technological resources such as smartboards at school. This study aims to create a smartboard-based learning media to facilitate interactive and collaborative learning experiences for eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 4 Kubung. This study uses a Research and Development (R&D) methodology with the ADDIE model. This study focuses on class VIII.2 and social studies teachers. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, expert validation questionnaires for content, media, and language, and a practicality response survey. The results show that the developed smartboard-based learning media is categorized as highly valid based on expert assessments. The practicality test shows that both teachers and students consider the media very practical. The use of this media has been proven effective in increasing active participation and enthusiasm for learning among students through its interactive features. Future researchers are advised to develop similar smartboard media for other eighth-grade social studies materials such as social dynamics or globalization.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze teachers’ perspectives on the implementation of deep learning as an innovative approach in Social Studies (IPS) learning in elementary schools. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The research subjects were selected using purposive sampling, consisting of elementary school six teachers who teach Social Studies. Data analysis was conducted interactively through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, while data validity was ensured through source and technique triangulation. The findings indicate that teachers have a relatively good understanding of the concept of deep learning, particularly in terms of conceptual understanding, active student engagement, and the relevance of learning materials to real-life contexts. Furthermore, teachers demonstrate positive perspectives toward deep learning as an innovative approach that promotes more interactive, participatory, and contextual learning processes. However, the implementation of deep learning has not been optimal due to several challenges, including limited teacher competence in designing appropriate learning strategies, time constraints, and inadequate learning facilities and infrastructure. In conclusion, deep learning has significant potential to improve the quality of Social Studies learning in elementary schools. However, its successful implementation requires support in the form of enhanced teacher competencies and adequate learning resources.

Abstract

The climate crisis in Indonesia is no longer confined to scientific data; it has evolved into a tangible threat to socio-economic life. The Public Relations division of BMKG (the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency) is therefore compelled to shift its communication strategy from the mere dissemination of technical data toward proactive narratives that foster public awareness and participation. This study employs a literature review that synthesizes perspectives from communication sociology and constructive journalism within the context of climate crisis communication. The findings indicate that climate-related messages often lack resonance in Indonesia’s mainstream media, necessitating reframing to align with the logic of social systems. Accordingly, public relations practitioners must act as agents of change who bridge climate science and lived social realities through a more human-centered communicative approach. The strategic implication lies in adopting solution-oriented constructive journalism that can enhance audience self-efficacy and stimulate collective action in climate mitigation. This study recommends integrating the precision of scientific data with emotionally grounded narratives such as highlighting the disappearance of Papua’s perennial snow as a symbolic case to evoke public urgency and empathy before climate impacts become irreversible.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the motivation of young entrepreneurs experiencing fatherlessness, namely the physical and psychological absence of a father in their child's life. This study uses a qualitative approach with a narrative-biographical method to understand the subject's life experiences in depth. The subject of the study was a young entrepreneur experiencing fatherlessness, with additional informants from the immediate family. Data collection techniques were carried out through in-depth semi-structured interviews, then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model which includes data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that the subject's motivation is formed through intrinsic and extrinsic motivation. Intrinsic motivation arises from the desire to improve the family's economic condition, achieve a better life, and become an independent individual. Meanwhile, extrinsic motivation is influenced by family support, the social environment, and work experience. The subject's fatherlessness is characterized by minimal attention, the absence of a father's role, and experiences of verbal and physical violence that result in trauma and low emotional closeness. However, the subject is able to build resilience so that these experiences actually become a driving force in achieving entrepreneurial success. This research shows that negative family experiences do not always have a destructive impact, but can be a source of motivation in achieving life goals

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the application of the Logic Model and Theory-Based Evaluation in evaluating educational programs at Vocational High Schools (SMK), as well as to identify the advantages, limitations, and effectiveness of both approaches. The method used is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) referring to PRISMA guidelines. Literature searches were conducted through scientific databases with a publication range from 2019 to 2026. From the selection process, 15 articles that met the inclusion criteria were obtained and analyzed qualitatively using a narrative synthesis. The research results indicate that the Logic Model approach is effective in mapping program structures systematically through the relationships between inputs, processes, outputs, and outcomes, making it easier to understand program flow and result achievements. Meanwhile, Theory-Based Evaluation is superior in explaining the mechanisms of change and the cause-and-effect relationships underlying program success. Nevertheless, this approach has a higher level of complexity and requires more in-depth data. The conclusion of this research shows that there is no single approach that is entirely superior, so the integration of Logic Model and Theory-Based Evaluation becomes the most effective strategy in producing a comprehensive, systematic, and evidence-based program evaluation. This integrative approach is recommended to improve the quality of educational program evaluations in vocational high schools (SMK).

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the quality of summative Indonesian language test questions for grade V MI in Sukoharjo in 2025 based on their suitability with Learning Outcomes, Learning Objectives, and cognitive levels of the revised Bloom's Taxonomy. The study used a qualitative approach with a library method on 50 questions through documentation techniques and descriptive content analysis. The results showed that all questions were in accordance with Learning Outcomes and Learning Objectives, but the coverage of the material was not evenly distributed because there were still 15 Learning Objectives and 1 material that had not been tested and the dominance of reading and listening elements. From the cognitive aspect, the questions were dominated by level C2 (MOTS) and did not cover level C5, so that students' higher-order thinking skills (HOTS) had not developed optimally. This study is limited to the analysis of summative Indonesian language test questions for grade V MI in Sukoharjo in 2025, which includes compliance with Learning Outcomes and Learning Objectives, and the cognitive domain of the Revised Bloom's Taxonomy (C1–C6) in written questions, without examining the learning process, student learning outcomes, or the affective and psychomotor domains. This study recommends that teachers compile questions more proportionally according to all Learning Objectives and increase the variety of questions at the HOTS level so that learning evaluation is more comprehensive.
