Abstract

This research aims to analyze the implementation of the Independent Learning Curriculum in achieving learning outcomes in phase D in Mathematics subjects at SMP Negeri 21 Bandar Lampung. The Independent Learning Curriculum is a new policy that gives teachers the freedom to design relevant and contextual learning, according to students' needs and potential. The type of research used in this study is mixed methods (Mixed Method), namely combining quantitative and qualitative methods in one research. Data was collected through classroom observations, interviews with the principal, deputy principal for curriculum, and Mathematics teachers, as well as distributing questionnaires to class IX students at SMP Negeri 21 Bandar Lampung, and from student learning outcomes taken from report cards. To ensure the validity of the data, several efforts were made, namely technical triangulation and Percentages Correction. The research results show that the implementation of the Independent Learning Curriculum in phase D has a positive impact on student learning outcomes. Teachers have the freedom to choose appropriate teaching materials and learning methods, so that they can increase student involvement and motivation during the learning process. However, several obstacles were also found, such as limited resources and differences in understanding between teachers regarding the principles of the Independent Learning Curriculum. The conclusion of this research is that although there are obstacles, the implementation of the Merdeka Belajar Curriculum can improve learning outcomes in phase D in Mathematics, as long as it is supported by adequate training and resources.

Abstract

This research discusses the importance of multicultural Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in Indonesia, which plays a role in overcoming social conflicts, intolerance and injustice that often arise in diverse societies. This education is in line with Law no. 20 of 2003 concerning the National Education System which emphasizes the importance of religious education in shaping the character of students. Multicultural PAI teaches the values of tolerance, mutual respect and social justice. This approach is relevant to Hasan Hanafi's concept of liberation theology, which emphasizes liberation from all forms of oppression and justice for all humanity, as well as equality as the main principle in coexistence. This study uses the method literature study (library research) and figures related to the relevance of multicultural Islamic religious education to liberation theology. The findings of this research show that a multicultural approach in Islamic Religious Education, which is in line with Hassan Hanafi's liberation theology, can effectively overcome social problems such as intolerance and radicalism. As a result, these findings can form a younger generation that is more adaptive, appreciates diversity, and is active in fighting for social justice, thereby contributing to the creation of a more harmonious and peaceful Indonesian society.

Abstract

If students are to pursue vocational health or any other technical area of specialization, then they have to acquire effective reading skills. Most learners experience difficulties in speed and comprehension, which impacts negatively on both academic and professional pursuits later in life. This problem is exacerbated by the technical nature of the language used in vocational health education and the bulk of information carried within textbooks, which is imperative in translating classroom knowledge into practice. This study aims to improve the reading speed of labor-intensive textbooks that vocational health students go through, as a professional would face situations in the field where interpreting data speedily is inevitable. While reading speed and comprehension remain critical, remarkably few published studies have covered this topic in vocational health. The present study fills that gap by examining some interventions for improving reading speed for the type of learner under study. This present study employed a mixed-methods approach, which involved gathering both qualitative and quantitative data. For the current study, the participants included 78 vocational health students. An experimental group received targeted speed-reading and comprehension strategies, while the control group followed their normal study routine. Descriptive statistics, T-tests, and correlation analyses were applied to analyze pre-test and post-test data on reading speed and comprehension, together with students' feedback. While the control group indicated very slight improvements, the experimental group showed significant gains in reading speed and comprehension, thus targeted interventions could work well.

The main problem answered in this research is: How far does music influence the congregation's interest in church services. (Case: HKBP Sukadame Resort Sukadame Pematangsiantar). The number of samples taken from the population was 80 people, the research used descriptive methods while data analysis was carried out in hypothesis testing using Pearson product moment correlation, with the data collection tool being a questionnaire for variable X (Influence of music) and variable Y (congregation interest in church services). To find out the extent of the influence of music on the congregation's interest in church services. (Case: HKBP Sukadame Resort Sukadame Pematangsiantar), the Pearson product-moment correlation statistical test was used. From the test results, it was obtained that r = 0.71, while to determine whether the correlation coefficient was significant at the real level of 0.05, the "t" test was used with the test criterion if thit greater than ttab (3,96 > 1,67)  then the hypothesis is accepted. So, it can be stated that there is a significant relationship between the influence of music on the congregation's interest in church services (Case: HKBP Sukadame Resort Sukadame Pematangsiantar.

Abstract

This study explores the implementation of the INLISLite application system in enhancing the quality of digital-based services at the Public Library of Probolinggo City and examines the supporting and inhibiting factors influencing its application. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach, data were gathered through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation, and analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s interactive model. The findings reveal that INLISLite has effectively facilitated the transformation of library services toward digitalization, contributing to improved service quality. This improvement is reflected in the indicators of the DeLone & McLean Information Systems Success Model—system reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy, and tangible aspects—through features such as cataloging, membership management, circulation, digital guestbooks, OPAC, and reporting tools. However, several challenges persist, including limited IT-skilled personnel, unstable internet connectivity, and suboptimal reporting functionalities. Despite these obstacles, the implementation has been successful, driven by effective communication among librarians, users, and the Department of Communication and Information; the availability of adequate resources; adaptive and responsive staff attitudes; and a robust bureaucratic framework supported by clear standard operating procedures. In line with Edward III’s policy implementation theory, the study concludes that INLISLite plays a significant role in the modernization and efficiency of digital library services, although continued improvements in infrastructure and human resource capacity remain necessary.

Abstract

This study examines the integration of the Qur'an and Sunnah as foundational sources of Islamic epistemology in addressing the challenges of Society 5.0. Through a qualitative library research approach, the research analyzes primary and secondary sources, including classical and contemporary Islamic texts, to explore the epistemological framework that harmonizes revelation, reason, and empirical knowledge. The findings reveal that the Qur'an, with its emphasis on 'ilm (knowledge) mentioned over 700 times, and the Sunnah, as the practical interpretation of the Qur'an, collectively form a holistic paradigm for scientific and technological development. The study highlights the concept of Tawhidic Science, which integrates spiritual values with modern advancements, offering ethical guidelines for emerging technologies like AI and big data. Additionally, the research demonstrates how Prophetic traditions provide solutions for contemporary issues such as mental health, environmental sustainability, and social justice. The study concludes that the Qur'an and Sunnah serve as dynamic, living traditions (living tradition) capable of guiding Muslim societies through digital transformation while maintaining moral and spiritual integrity. This integrative approach not only counters the materialistic tendencies of modern science but also fosters a balanced civilization rooted in Islamic values.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the implementation of character education at Pondok Pesantren Salafiyah Darul Mustofa in response to the challenges of the modern era. Amidst the waves of globalization and technological advancement that influence the values of younger generations, traditional Islamic boarding schools (pesantren salafiyah) remain steadfast in upholding education based on classical Islamic values. This research employed a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews with caregivers, teachers, and students, as well as documentation of pesantren activities. The findings reveal that Pondok Pesantren Darul Mustofa implements character education through four main aspects: (1) Strengthening religious values, achieved through the habituation of worship practices such as congregational prayers, night prayers (qiyamul lail), voluntary fasting, the study of classical Islamic texts on ethics and spirituality, as well as daily dhikr and post-prayer recitations; (2) Instilling discipline and responsibility, through a structured daily schedule, assigned duties such as cleaning and night guards, and an educational disciplinary system; (3) Habituating manners and ethics, by cultivating respectful behavior toward teachers, proper etiquette during study, and politeness in social interactions; and (4) Fostering social responsibility and leadership, through student-led organizations, community service, group deliberations, and public speaking training. This study contributes theoretically to the development of a pesantren-based character education model and provides practical implications for educational institutions and policymakers. Future research is recommended to conduct comparative or longitudinal studies to assess the sustainability of these character values in the lives of pesantren alumni. Abstract

Multicultural education in Indonesia plays a strategic role in managing the nation's rich diversity of cultures, ethnicities, religions, and languages. The perspective of Islamic educational philosophy provides a normative and ethical foundation to foster harmony amid differences. This study views multicultural education as an effort to cultivate awareness and tolerance through the appreciation of pluralistic values that align with Islamic principles such as justice, equality, and respect for human rights. Islamic educational philosophy emphasizes the centrality of tauhid (the oneness of God) as the basis for shaping inclusive character that honors diversity. Through this approach, multicultural education aims not only to develop students’ intellectual competencies but also to nurture their moral and ethical sensibilities for peaceful coexistence in a plural society. This study recommends the integration of multicultural and Islamic values into the educational curriculum to produce a generation that is tolerant, socially just, and capable of preserving diversity as a national asset.
