Abstract

This study investigates the impact of digital money turnover velocity on the Indonesian economy, focusing on economic growth, inflation dynamics, employment, and financial inclusion. The primary objective is to understand how the rapid circulation of digital money influences key economic indicators and contributes to poverty reduction. Utilizing a qualitative research methodology, this study conducts a comprehensive literature review and employs a meta-analysis of existing empirical studies to synthesize findings related to digital money and economic performance. The analysis reveals that an increase in the velocity of digital money significantly enhances economic growth by improving transaction efficiency and stimulating consumption. However, it also presents potential challenges, such as contributing to inflationary pressures if not managed properly. The study also examines the labor market, highlighting that digital money facilitates job creation in fintech and digital services sectors while promoting financial inclusion by providing access to financial services for previously underserved populations. Furthermore, the findings underscore the critical role of financial literacy in maximizing the benefits of digital money. Enhanced financial literacy ensures that individuals can effectively manage and utilize digital financial services, leading to better financial outcomes and economic empowerment. The research suggests that policy interventions aimed at promoting digital financial services, coupled with comprehensive financial literacy programs, can significantly contribute to economic development and poverty reduction in Indonesia.

Abstract

This qualitative literature review investigates the effects of financial technology (fintech) on the growth of small businesses, aiming to synthesize existing research and identify key themes and insights. The study examines how various fintech innovations, such as mobile payments, digital lending, and online banking, influence the operational efficiency, financial accessibility, and overall growth trajectory of small enterprises. The review also highlights the role of mobile payment systems in streamlining transactions, reducing costs, and improving cash flow management for small businesses. These systems enable businesses to accept a wider range of payment methods, cater to a broader customer base, and increase sales. Moreover, the adoption of online banking and digital financial management tools is found to enhance operational efficiency by simplifying financial processes, facilitating better financial planning, and providing real-time financial insights. Despite the numerous benefits, the study identifies challenges such as digital literacy, cybersecurity risks, and regulatory compliance as significant barriers to the full adoption of fintech by small businesses. The literature emphasizes the need for supportive policies, education, and technological infrastructure to overcome these challenges and maximize the benefits of fintech for small enterprises. In conclusion, fintech has a profound impact on the growth and sustainability of small businesses by improving financial accessibility, operational efficiency, and competitive positioning. Future research should focus on longitudinal studies to evaluate the long-term impacts of fintech adoption and explore the effectiveness of policy interventions aimed at supporting small business integration into the digital financial ecosystem.

Abstract

Every Approved Training Organization (ATO) follows the safety standards imposed by the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP). As per the FAA (2023), safety culture is essential to the effectiveness of safety performance, and it will inevitably be a requisite to the general output of the organization. However, in the Philippines, there is little to no studies relating to such topic. The paper aims to find out the level of engagement and implementation of the Approved Training Organization in the Philippines (ATO). Moreover, to look into the relationship of the ATOs Safety Management System process engagement and implementation towards safety motivation, safety compliance, safety participation, and safety reporting behavior. Lastly, to find out the differences and also the variations in safety culture perception. It made use of a concurrent-embedded mixed method approach, in which the researcher presents both quantitative and qualitative data collected. In summary of the findings, there is a positive agreement resulting to a positive practice of safety culture within the surveyed aviation schools, with a strong commitment to safety policies, reporting, compliance, and participation. While, the high R-squared values for Safety Reporting Behavior and Safety Participation signified strong model fits. These results imply that the model effectively shows the difference in safety-related behaviors and participation, highlighting its reliability. Moreover, there is no significant differences in perceptions among demographic variables as to gender and functional group for safety reporting behavior, safety compliance, and safety participation across all three aviation schools. The variations or differences in perceptions among demographic variables were generally not significant, signifying a consistent safety culture regardless of gender or functional position. With the results of the study, it served as a basis in proposing a SMS policy implementation for the selected aviation schools in the Philippines.

Abstract

The participation of novice voters in the 2024 elections in Kuningan Regency is already underway but is considered still not optimal due to a lack of basic understanding regarding the importance of participation in elections, apathy towards the political system and their low trust in the government. This research aims to find out how novice voters participate in the 2024 elections in Kuningan Regency. The research method used was descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. Using the theory of the influence of community participation according to Bintoro Tjokroamidjojo as a theoretical framework. The results of this research indicate that voter participation in the 2024 elections in Kuningan Regency is considered not yet optimal if viewed from the results of the vote acquisition during the election because the number of invalid votes is still quite large. These results cannot be separated from the participation of first-time voters in it. Things that influence the participation of first-time voters are the lack of voter trust in the government and political institutions, the delivery of election-related information to first-time voters is still not conveyed thoroughly, and the political knowledge and understanding of new voters is still minimal. So even though the election was welcomed enthusiastically by first-time voters, there were still many invalid votes which was an indicator that in their participation they had not been able to use their voting rights properly.

Islamic boarding schools in Indonesia have an important role in forming an ideal and inclusive Muslim society. As an Islamic educational institution, Islamic boarding schools are also agents of significant social change. In the context of an increasingly developing sharia economy, Islamic boarding schools have great potential to contribute. First, Islamic boarding schools act as agents of social change in the field of sharia economics, teaching the values and principles of Islamic economics to students and the surrounding community. Second, Islamic boarding schools can function as sharia business laboratories, where business practices that comply with sharia principles can be implemented and tested. Third, Islamic boarding schools become centers of sharia economic learning, providing education and training regarding the sharia economic system to the young generation of Muslims. Thus, Islamic boarding schools have the potential to support and develop the sharia economy in Indonesia, strengthening their role in the social and economic order of Muslim communities.
