Abstract

This paper examines SMEs product innovation in the VUCA (Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, Ambiguity) era. One of the common problems for SMEs in Indonesia is challenges related to product innovation. These challenges are limited human resources and lack of access to technology and knowledge. Thus, product innovation will continue to develop not only with a touch of technology orientation, but also requires optimal inter-functional coordination. This study used quantitative methods on 205 SMEs as respondents. There are three variables that are the object of study, they are Product Innovation as the dependent variable, Technology Orientation as the independent variable and Inter-Functional Coordination as the mediating variable. The results of this study state that the Inter-Functional Coordination variable mediates the relationship between the Technology Orientation variable and the Product Innovation variable. Thus, Technology Orientation will not be optimal in developing SMES Product Innovation, unless SMESs strengthen Inter-Functional Coordination. Inter-functional coordination is a process where various functions or departments in an organization work together and collaborate to achieve common goals.

Abstract

This research contains a description of the ratification of extra-marital children as legal children. Recognition and ratification of extra-marital children often experience differences in their determination. The research method used by the author in writing this journal is normative legal research method, this legal research examines document studies using various secondary data, such as laws and regulations, court decisions, legal theories and opinions of scientists. Based on the results of the research, the Marriage Law does not regulate the recognition and validation of children, the Civil Code regulates recognition and validation while the Constitutional Court only focuses on the biological relationship between the child and the father. In the Determination of the Airmadidi District Court Number 175/Pdt.P/2021/PN Arm, the judge only looks at positive law without considering other aspects in the ratification of extra-marital children. This research is expected to contribute to the development of science, the author's achievement from this research is to produce scientific works in the form of theses, research journals, and as reference material for other writers in the future.

Abstract

The formulation of legal provisions prohibiting money politics in elections is a crucial step towards creating honest and fair elections. We must comprehend the boundaries of money politics, the kinds of actions that fall under its purview, and the efficacy of the penalties we can apply to those who violate them. In the context of elections, money politics refers to the practice or phenomenon where individuals use money as a tool to influence or win the outcome of an election. One of the main influences of money politics is to turn the election process into a vote-buying event, where voters who receive money or other material gifts tend to vote for candidates who offer these rewards, not based on ideological considerations or actual candidate qualifications. In Indonesia, the use of money politics in election practices has become a serious concern in society. Despite the prevalence of money crimes in elections, many remain unarrested and unpunished. The need for legal reform emphasizes the importance of strong legal and enforcement mechanisms to combat money politics. To prohibit the practice of money politics, there needs to be firmer and more effective legal provisions.

Abstract

This paper studies the Work Ability of Indonesian migrant workers in Taiwan. The workability of these migrant workers is very low due to factors such as lack of appropriate training, knowledge mismatch, cultural and language challenges, non-ideal working conditions, lack of competency development, and mental and physical welfare problems. To increase the Work Ability of migrant workers, good training and knowledge management is needed. The influence of the Training and Knowledge Management program will be significant and optimal in increasing the Work Ability of migrant workers if it is through increasing Competency. This study used quantitative methods and was conducted on 210 migrant workers as respondents. The results of this study show that training has no direct effect on increasing the workability of migrant workers. However, training influences Work Ability through Competency. Knowledge Management has a direct impact on increasing Work Ability. However, Competency does not mediate the influence of Knowledge Management on Work Ability. This means that the training program will be useful in increasing Work Ability if it is mediated by increasing Competency. Good Knowledge Management can directly increase the Work Ability of migrant workers without having to increase Competency.

Abstract

Financing is a primary service offered by Islamic banks, including the Utsman Financing Program at Jam Gadang Islamic Rural Bank (BPRS). This program employs the murabahah contract and does not require collateral. The implementation procedures for the Murabahah Contract have been regulated in the DSN MUI Fatwa No: 04/DSN-MUI/IV/2000. This study aims to evaluate the application of the Murabahah Contract in Utsman Financing and assess the implications of the Fatwa. An empirical juridical methodology was used. The findings reveal that in practice, the wakalah and murabahah contracts are often executed simultaneously, which violates the transaction requirements as the traded object is not fully owned by the contracting parties. Additionally, setting prices and profits for goods not fully owned by the bank and customers also contradicts Sharia principles, thus rendering the transactions invalid.

Abstract

Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) remain a significant health issue that requires proper management. Data from the Central Sulawesi Provincial Health Office indicates a continued rise in NCD cases, with 39,961 cases reported in 2021, increasing to 51,805 in 2022. This study aimed to evaluate the integrated NCD development post services at the Singgani Health Center in Palu City. Using a qualitative research method and a descriptive analytical approach, three informants were interviewed: a program holder, a cadre of the Integrated Service Post (Posbindu), and a participant. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document reviews. The findings revealed that the implementation of human resources, facilities, recording, and reporting is still suboptimal. Cadres’ skills are not yet fully developed, and there are gaps in essential facilities, such as missing height measuring instruments and waist circumference tools. The Integrated Service Post has also not adopted the 5-table system as per standard procedures. However, budget allocation and planning have been satisfactory, including transportation arrangements for cadres and staff. The study concludes that the lack of adequate training for cadres and insufficient facilities are disrupting the effectiveness of the service process. To improve, it is suggested that certified training be provided, technical guidelines for the Integrated Service Post be clearly communicated to all cadres, and the 5-table service system be fully implemented to optimize the service process.

Abstract

This study aims to explore and analyze the effectiveness of office management systems in Poso Kota District, focusing on goal achievement, departmental integration, and adaptation to change. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, the study describes, analyzes, and interprets current conditions in Poso District, Poso Regency. The research was conducted over one fiscal year using primary data from in-depth interviews and systematic observations, as well as secondary data from literature and official documents. Informants were selected purposively based on their understanding of the phenomenon under study. The research instruments included interview guidelines and the researcher as the main instrument. Data analysis followed an interactive model, encompassing data collection, condensation, presentation, verification, and conclusion drawing. Findings indicate that despite structured steps to manage policy and technological changes, the office management system faces significant challenges in achieving administrative efficiency, optimal public service, effective integration between departments, and adaptation to a dynamic work environment. In terms of the three main dimensions—goal achievement, integration, and adaptation—the office management system in Poso Kota District still requires improvements in internal communication, enhanced use of information technology, and staff training to optimize operations and organizational responsiveness.
