Abstract

Abstract: This research attempts to identify the thesis topics on listening: particularly it focus on, methods, research focus (teaching technique and media) and the educational level within the thesis. The appropriate method of this research is the descriptive method in which it provides information about the thesis written by English department students. The students? theses on listening are selected based on ranging year from 2010 to 2014. The findings shows that (1) Classroom Action research is the most preferable method (2) 13 studies focused on teaching media and nine others on teaching technique, two theses without specific focus and a thesis focused on both. (3) 11 studies conducted in the senior high, eight were in the junior high and while playgroup, elementary and university share the exact same number, two theses on each educational level. This research may help the other students decide other potential methods, focuses and educational level as their main concerns for their future studies.   Keywords: thesis on listening, research methodologies, focus of research, educational levels. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi tesis dalam menyimak: metode, fokus penelitian (teknik mengajar dan media) dan tingkat pendidikan di dalam tesis. Metode yang tepat dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif yang memberikan informasi tentang kondisi dan peristiwa yang terjadi di masa sekarang. Tesis dalam menulis dipilih di mulai dari tahun 2010 hingga 2014. Temuan penelitian ini adalah (1) Penelitian Tindakan Kelas adalah metode yang paling banyak (2) 13 penelitian difokuskan pada media pengajaran dan sembilan  penelitian pada media pembelajaran, sementara tiga tesis difokuskan pada teknik mengajar dan teknik penbelajaran, ada dua tesis tanpa fokus pengajaran dan satu tesis memfokuskan pada teknik dan media pembelajaran (3) 11 penelitian dilakukan di SMA, delapan berada di SMP, sementara untuk tingkat TK, SD dan univesitas masing2 terdapat dua tesis. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat membantu siswa lain memutuskan metode-metode potensial lainnya, teknik dan media pembelajaran serta tingkat pendidikan karena untuk penelitian lebih lanjut. Abstract

Abstrak Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengungkap fungsi kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dalam hal : mempengaruhi, menggerakkan, mengarahkan personal sekolah dalam meningkatkan mutu sekolah. Untuk mengungkapkan pertanyaan tersebut peneliti menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif jenis penelitian studi kasus.  Untuk menggali data dan informasi dari informan, peneliti menggunakan observasi partisipan, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumen dalam proses mengumpulkan data penelitian. Hasil penelitian terungkap bahwa;  kepala sekolah dalam mempengaruhi personal sekolah dilakukan dengan pendekatan kepada setiap personal dan memberikan  penjelasan bahwa apa yang di lakukan bertujuan untuk keberhasilan  dan prestasi sekolah, kemampuan menggerakkan didukung oleh  kemampuan untuk membimbing,  mendorong dan membina dilakukan melalui keteladanan dan berbuat langsung, kemampuan mengatur atau mengarahkan dilakukan melalui pembagian tugas sesuai dengan tupoksinya dan memotivasi personal secara individual dan klasikal yang disesuaikan dengan waktu dan tempatnya serta bekerja? sengiyan?  (bekerja ulet) dengan semboyan Jadda wa jadda.   Kata kunci: Kepemimpinan,  Kepala Sekolah, Mutu Sekolah   Abstract The purpose of this study was to uncover the function of school leadership in terms of: affecting, moving, personal directing schools to improve school quality. To express these questions researchers used a qualitative research approach case study. To collect data and information from informants, the researcher uses participant observation, interviews, and documents in the process of collecting research data. Results of the research revealed that; principals in influencing personal schools should be done with the approach to every personal and explained that what is done is aimed at the success and achievements of the school, the ability to move supported by the ability to guide, encourage and nurture done by example and act immediately, the ability to control or redirect do through the division of tasks in accordance with and motivate personal tupoksinya individually and classically tailored to time and place and to work "sengiyan" (resilient work) with motto jadda wa jadda.   Keywords: Leadership, Principal, School Quality

Abstract

 Abstract Indonesian students learn English as a foreign language. They may transfer their first language into their target language. The interference can occur in various aspects like pronunciation. The purpose of this research is to find out whether or not students transfer their first language (Malay) into the target language (English) when pronouncing English voiceless stops and to find how often the transfer is made by the students. The method is Contrastive Analysis (CA). It contrasts the differences of L1 and L2 to predict and to explain the problems that learners might encounter in their target language learning. The subject of this research is the English Language Education Study Program students of Academic Year 2009/2010. Their L1 is Malay. The data were collected through direct and indirect observation. Direct observation was done to observe students’ pronunciation of words tested. Indirect observation was done by replaying the record to confirm the measurement made on the first direct checking. Native speakers’ help was also needed in this indirect observation in reanalyzing the data.  Based on the result, the researcher finds that interference happens, and the frequency is quite often. It shows that even though students have learned English for years, they are still making errors in pronunciation, especially in pronouncing aspirated voiceless stop phonemes. The conclusion is that the differences between Malay and English in the sound system, especially in term of aspiration could cause interference. Abstract

AbstractThe researcher's problem is: at the time of extracurricular activities sepak takraw in SMAN 9 Pontianak found that the students were difficult to determine timming properly when doing smash kedeng, the jump was not maximal and the movement was still rigid, it could be seen when the students got difficulties to do smash kedeng, so the ball was concerned on the net. The purpose of this correlation research is: to determine whether there is a relationship between power and flexibility of leg muscles to the results of smash kedeng and how big the contribution of eachvariable. This research is quantitative descriptive research with correlation research method, there were three variables investigated, those were the power, the flexibility leg muscle and the results of smash kedeng. This correlation research was done by correlation of bivariate and linear regression. The result of research relation of power, flexibility of leg muscle to result of smash kedeng. The results are: (1) there was a power relationship to the results of smash kedeng rcount 0.885 > rtable 0.482 with a contribution of 78.3%. (2) there was correlation of flexibility of leg muscle to result of smash kedeng  rcount 0,836 > rtable 0,482 with contribution 69,9%. (3) there was correlation between power and flexibility of leg muscle to result of smash kedeng rcount 0,708 > rtable 0,482 with contribution 87,1%. Abstract

AbstractThe aims of this research was determined the effect of integrated remediation misconception in fluid dynamics learning use interactive conceptual instruction to decreasing the number of student misconception in grade XI SMA Negeri 7 Pontianak. The research used pre-experimental design with one group pretest-posttest design involving 35 students of class XI IPA 2 as a sample which selected by intact group. Diagnostic test which consist osf 18 multiple choice question with open reasoning was used as research instrument to asses the number of students misconception. Based on the result, the everage percentage decrease of misconception students for each students equal to 71,14%. Based on an analysis using price obtained McNemar test, (348,82) >  indicate the conception significant changes between before and after integrated remediation misconception in fluid dynamics learning use interactive conceptual instruction. The effectiveness of  integrated remediation misconception in fluid dynamics learning use interactive conceptual instruction of  DQM (The Decreasing of Quantity of the student that Misconception) equal to 71,46% in high category. Keywords: integrated remediation, misconception, interactive conceptual   instruction, fluid dynamic

Abstract

 Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran Learning Cycle 5E terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik pada materi usaha dan energi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen semu dengan rancangan penelitian Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Sampel penelitian dipilih berdasarkan teknik simple random sampling secara intact group. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes uraian berjumlah 5 soal. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji U-Man Whitney dengan α 5% diperoleh  <  (-2,702 < -1,96) yang artinya H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar peserta didik yang menggunakan model pembelajaran Learning Cycle 5E dan pembelajaran konvensional. Efektivitas pembelajaran menggunakan model pembelajaran Learning Cycle 5E  termasuk dalam kategori sedang dengan nilai effect size 0,6 dan memberikan kontribusi sebesar 22,57% terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik. Kata kunci: LC 5E, Hasil Belajar, Usaha dan Energi Abstract: The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of the application of Learning Cycle 5E model on student’s learning outcomes in study material of work and energy. This was a quasi experiment with Nonequivalent Control Group Deisgn. The sample was chosen with simple random sampling technique on intact group. The instrument use is essay test of 5 questions. Data were analyzed using U-Mann whitney test with α 5% obtained -Zcount < -Ztable (-2,702 < -1,96) which means H0 is rejected and Ha is a accepted. It showed that there were differences in learning outcomes between student using Learning Cycle 5E model and conventional learning. The effectiveness of Learning Cycle 5E model included in medium category with effect size value 0,6 and contributed 22,57% to increase student’s learning outcomes.Keywords: LC 5E, Learning Outcomes, Work and Energy

Abstract

Abstrak: Percaya diri menjadi salah satu karakter yang harus dimiliki oleh anak, sehingga diperlukan pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan percaya diri yang menyenangkan dan sesuai dengan karakteristik anak, salah satunya melalui bercerita. Permasalahannya guru kurang kreatif dan variatif dalam memberi pembelajaran bercerita sehingga percaya diri anak tidak berkembang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif, bentuknya penelitian tindakan kelas. Teknik pengumpulan data terdiri dari observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah anak usia 5-6 tahun di RA Mujahidin Kabupaten Mempawah sebanyak 20 anak. Hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan  percaya diri melalui bercerita pada anak usia 5-6 tahun  di RA Mujahidin Kabupaten Mempawah, dibuktikan dengan hasil peningkatan pada aspek anak berani bertanya, anak berani menjawab pertanyaan  dan anak berani bercerita kembali dengan kata-kata sederhana setelah dilakukan tindakan pada sikus I dan siklus II. Kata Kunci: Peningkatan, Percaya diri, Bercerita. Abstract: The confident become one of the characters that must be held a children. So, we need to increase the confident of learning fun and in accordance with the characteristics of children, one of them through storytellingthe problem is less creative and innovative teachers providing education storytelling, so that the child does not develof self confidence. The from this research is class action research, the methods used is the descriptive. The technigues collecting data consisting of observation, the interview, and the docomentation. The subject of this research is children aged 5-6 years in RA Mujahidin district Mempawah a total of 20 childrens. The results of this study can be concluded that there is increased confidence through storytelling in children aged 5-6  in RA Mujahidin district Mempawah, evidenced by the results of improvement in the children dared to ask, children brave to answer question and childrens bold storytelling back to the simple words after the action in cycle I and cycle II. AbstracThe title of this final project is "Application of Library Automation System in the Management of Library Materials in Pontianak Muhammadiyah 2 Elementary Library". The problem that is the focus of the discussion of this paper is the application of automation in the management of library materials. The research used in the preparation of this final project is a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques are by observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study note that to implement the automation system in the management of library materials in Muhammadiyah 2 Elementary School in Pontianak is very necessary because it is to facilitate librarians in managing library materials in the library of Muhammadiyah 2 Elementary School in Pontianak. and it is useful to improve quality not only that the role of librarians is also very needed as the person who performs the atay that runs the bibliography processing automation.  Keywords: System, Automation, Management, Library School

Abstract

AbstractThe problem of this research is about “ using inquiry method can improve student’s learning activities in learning science in the fifth class of elementary school of SDN 6 Sungai Pangkalan I.The Aim of this research is to describe improving students activities using inquiry method in science learning  of SDN 6 Sungai Pangkalan I, in subject material “ sifat-sifat cahaya”.This research procedures include planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. This research was conducted with 3 cycles. The method using is descriptive method with form Classroom Action Research (CAR) and Collaboration. The Place of research is in SDN 6 Sungai Pangkalan I, the fifth class with the subject of research is teacher and the fifth class students. The technic of data collection that using is direct observation technic and document review. The tool of data collection are IPKG sheet I, IPKG sheet II, and the result of student’s learning activities. The result of research from lesson planning from the first cycle is 2,67, in the second cycle is 3,17, and the third cycle is 3,50. By applying the method in the assessment of the learning in the first cycle improved become 2,55, in the second cycle improved become 3,27, and cyle III improved become 3,50. The average of result student’s learning activity assessment in the first cycle is 59,72, in the second cycle is 91,67, and in the third cycle is  98,6.  Based on the data oblained can be conclude that improving occured student’s activity in science learning with the inquiri method in the fifth class of SDN 6 Sungai Pangkalan I. Abstract

AbstractThis study aimed to determine whether there is an effect of learning environment on learning outcomes of class X in MA Khulafaur Rasidin Kuburaya.. The form of this research was quantitative research with the type of research ex-postfacto. The sample in this study was the X class of MA Khulafaur Rasidin Kuburaya, which amounted to 45 students. The data analysis technique used a simple linear regression test with the help of the SPSS version 16.0 program. The results of this study indicated  that 9% of students in the high category, 73% of students in the medium category, and 18% students in the low category. While learning outcomes of student in X class in MA Khulafaur Rasidin indicated 42% of students in the completed category, 58% of students in the not completed category. There was a positive influence between learning environment on learning outcomes of students with a regression equation Y = 23,051 + 0,749X. The results of hypothesis testing compared to significance value wot 0.05,it can be seen that the significance value of 0,001 < 0.05 that means (H0) is rejected and (Ha) is accepted, means that  it had a influence between learning enviroment on learning outcomes in X Class in MA Khulafaur Rasidin KuburayaKeywords: effect of learning environment, learning outcomes
