Abstract

Abstract One of the Malay language that still used until right now is Malay language in Sambas dialects (BMDS) at Sambas Regency, West Borneo. This research examines the linguistic of BMDS that focused on the terms of the meaning that semantic field of verb ?to touch?. The method in this research is descriptive method with qualitative form research. Data and sources of data in this research are words, phrases, and sentences that spoken by containing terrain verb meaning to touch in BMDS. The technique that used is direct technique such as face to face conversation (interview) with noted technique.  The instruments that used to collect the data in this research are recorder, list of questions, list of illustrations, data cards, and stationery. Based on research there are 47 lexeme verbs to touch in BMDS consist 10 lexeme verb touch with tool usage, 28 lexeme verb to touch without tool usage, and 9 lexeme verbs to touch with or without tool usage. The kind of meaning of verb to touch in BMDS was founded consisting of 47 denotative meanings, 47 grammatical meanings, and 16 connotative meanings. Semantic functions of verbs to touch in BMDS was founded are 47 semantic functions.  Keywords: Semantics, Meaning Field, to Touch

Abstract

 Abstract                                                                                              This research is motivated by the problem of parental support toward students' musical art achievement  at SMA Negeri Pontianak. This study aimed to determine the correlation between parental support toward students' musical art achievement at SMA Negeri Pontianak. The method used is a survey method using a quantitative approach. This type of research is correlational research. The results of data analysis showed that there is a relationship that have positive and significant correlation between parental support toward students' musical art achievement at SMA Negeri 1 Pontianak, SMAN 2 Pontianak, SMA Negeri 3 Pontianak, SMAN 7 Pontianak and SMAN 8 Pontianak academic years 2016/2017, this is indicated by the amount rhitung greater than rtabel (0454> 0361) and the significant value of 0.012, which is less than 0.05 (0.012>0.05). The results of data analysis also shown that students who have parental support in the high category were 12 respondents (40%), in the moderate category were 11 respondents (36.7%) and in the low category were 7 respondents (23.3%). Meanwhile, students' musical art achievement in high category were 6 respondents (20%), in the moderate category were 15 respondents (50%) and in the low category were 9 respondents (30%). Keywords: Parental Support, Students' Musical Art Achievement, Correlation

Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this research are to describe the melody of Robo’-Robo’ music, to describe the form of Robo’-Robo’ music melody. The theory that used on this research analysis is the theory about melody, phrase, and music sentence. The method that used in this research is descriptive method. The form of this research is qualitative research. The approach in this research is using musicology approach. The data source in this research is the result from the interviewer that know about the melody and music form of Robo’-Robo’. The data collection tool in this research is the researcher as the main instrument, observation sheet, intervie guide, and documentation. The validity techniques are continous observation and triangulation. The data analysis technique in this research are presenting and then summarize, analyze and interpretation, conclude the analysis result about the melody and music form of Robo’-Robo’ by Eddy Mawardi. Based on the data analysis, we can conclode that the analysis of melody and music form of Robo’-Robo’ the are high and low tone, pattern, tone value and music structure. By the interview with the interviewer who was the musician of Robo’-Robo’ music who also know about the history of Robo’-Robo’ music. Analyze the melody and the music form of Robo’-Robo’ through interview with the interviewer and documenting the melody and music form of Robo’-Robo’. The result of this research was expected can be applied on Seni Budaya SMA Class X Semester II Study and can be reference to advance research abo melody and music form of Robo’-Robo’.Keywords: Robo’-Robo’ Songs, Melody Analysis, Music structure, Musicology

Abstract

 AbstractBased on interviews with teachers of Indonesian subjects in grade X SMA Negeri 2 Selimbau Kapuas Hulu obtained information that of the four skills of learning Indonesian Language and Literature are students are very lacking in the ability to speak. One of the alternative methods that can be developed to overcome the low learning outcomes in Indonesian subjects is to apply the Inquiry learning model because students can find their own way to solve the problem. This study aims to describe the learning activities convey opinions in the discussion by using the model Inkuiri in class X SMA Negeri 2 Selimbau Kapuas Hulu The research method used is descriptive method. This research was conducted in class X Secondary High School State 2 Selimbau Kapuas Hulu Regency. Data collection techniques used in diresct observation, direct communication and measurement. The data collection tools used are observation guides, interview guides and tests. Data analysis used is qualitative data analysis. Learning outcomes in the discussions after using the Inkuiri model contributed significantly to student learning outcomes. In cycle I the classical average value is 65,91 and in cycle II becomes 81,76. Keywords: Inquiry Learning Model, Delivering Opinions in Discussion

Abstract

Abstract       This study aims to determine the planning effectiveness of the use of audio visual assisted Think Talk Write strategies on student learning outcomes in Ips subjects in VIII Mts Ar rohman Village Kapur Village Kubu Raya District. The method used in the study was an experimental method with a quasi-experimental research form (experimental research quasy). The source of this research data is the eighth grade students of MTs Ar rohman and the data are the students' answer sheets of the material in the form of environmental damage and the results of interviews with the VIII Grade Ips Teacher. The results of this study are the average results of the post-test class before 71.00 and TTW class 76.60. Judging from the completeness, students who complete the class before as many as 13 students and TTW classes as many as 17 students based on the U Whitney test on the class test post before and TTW class obtained a significance value of 0.05 <(0.00 <0.05), then there is a difference the results of the previous class posttest and TTW classes. It is known that there is a difference between the results of the class before and the TTW class, so Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. That TTW class is higher in post test results than before class, TTW class with TTW strategy model while class before using TTW learning. So the TTW strategy model is more effective than Question and Answer learning, to improve the social studies learning outcomes of VIII grade MTs Ar Rohman Kapur Village. How big is the effect of the learning model used by the effect size formula. effect size was obtained 1.8. Then based on the criteria that apply the effect size value is included in the large category. Keywords: TTW Strategy, Learning Outcomes

Abstract

 AbstractThe Konpopilan strip comics have their own peculiarities in conveying the story content that follows the things that happen in life, because it is does not use the language symbol on the dialogue. This research uses descriptive method with qualitative research form. Mean sign data was analysed by triadic technique of Pierce theory. The strip comic data is understood by the visual language technique of drawing. Conversational implicature data is analysed by Grice theory, i.e. conventional implicature. Strip comic data is culturally interpreted with cultural context analysis techniques. The result of data analysis concluded that the meaning of the signs can be found: character; behaviour; text balloon; punctuation; line; and the environment, with a total of 842 signs. Visual language can be described in the form of narrative that the flow of each scene is connected. There are 22 that have a single conversation implicature, one that have two conversation implicatures, and one comic strip that no conversation implicature is found. Comic strip writer Konpopilan made the news ever published into a comic strip story Konpopilan and divided into four sections. Keywords: semiotic, implicature, comic, visual language, sign.

Abstract

AbstractThis research was conducted in order to solve the problem encountered in the classroom; the students were passive in learning process, they also had difficulties to figure out the main idea, supporting details, and determine the synonym and antonym. The method of the research was classroom action research. The subject of this research was the tenth grade students science V of SMA Negeri 7 Pontianak in Academic Year 2017/2018. When the researcher applied the reciprocal teaching technique, the students began to show their interests by actively answering the questions and enthusiasm in having their roles in learning process. The result of this research showed that reciprocal teaching did not only improve the students? reading comprehension, but also the students? interaction between the students to students and the students to the teacher. Key Words: Reading Comprehension, Reciprocal Teaching, Descriptive Text

Abstract

 AbstractThis study aims to reveal about the development of Android-based Adobe Flash learning media to improve the representation and disposition capabilities of three dimensional geometry that are reviewed from the Early Mathematical Knowledge of 2nd Usaha Perjalanan Wisata (UPW) class XII of Vocational School Number 1 at Tanjungpinang, Riau Islands Province. This research using ADDIE model. The subject research was one class with 31 student. From the results of the study the following conclusions are obtained: (1) The process of developing Android-based Adobe Flash learning media through several stages, (2) The ability of students' mathematical representation to increase very significantly after using Adobe Flash Android-based learning media of mathematics from an average pretest of 59.77% and the average posttest results of 85%, (3) Disposition mathematical students increases after using Adobe Flash math learning media based on Android. This was concluded from data on disposition survey which included: self-confidence, flexible thinking, perseverance, interest and curiosity and monitoring and evaluation. Keywords:     The ability of mathematical representation, mathematical disposition ability, ADDIE Development Model.

Abstract

AbstractThe research investigated the evidence whether using Student Teams-Achievement Division as a teaching technique was useful to teach students simple past tense. It was a pre-experimental research with one group pre-test and post-test design. There were 34 students (X IIS 4 learning group) who participated in this research. The data were collected by written tests and analyzed by t-test. According to the research findings, the null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected, while the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted. The obtained t-value (9.23) was bigger than the critical value of r (1.692) by the degree of freedom 33. It was concluded that the use of STAD is significant and very effective to teach simple past tense to Year?10 students of ?SMA Negeri 7 Pontianak? in Academic Year 2017/2018. Key Words: Student Teams-Achievement Division, Simple Past Tense, Recount Text

Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini secara umum  untuk meningkakan akivitas belajar siswa pada pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial menggunakan model Picture And Picture di kelas IV Sekolah Dasar Negeri 19 Jonti Sanggau. Metode yang digunakan  adalah metode deskriptif. Bentuk penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Teknik pengumpul data yang digunakan adalah teknik observasi langsung. Terdapat peningkatan aktivitas belajar pada base line sebesar 31,95%, meningkat menjadi 70,83% pada siklus I, pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 80,56%. Selisih peningkatan dari siklus I ke siklus II sebesar 87,92%. Dari base line ke siklus II terjadi peningkatan sebesar 67.81%.   Kata Kunci: Aktivitas Belajar, Model Picture And Picture   Abstract: The aim of this research to improved its general activity of students in the Social learning model of Picture And Picture  in class IV State Elementary School 19 Jonti Sanggau. The method used is descriptive method . This research is a form of action research . Data collection technique used is the technique of direct observation . There is increased activity in the base line study of 31.95 % , increased to 70.83 % in the first cycle , the second cycle increased to 80.56 % . The difference increased from cycle I to cycle II of 87.92 % . From the base line to the second cycle an increase of 67.81 % .   Keywords: Activity Learning ,  Model Picture And Picture.
