Abstract

AbstractThis research aimed to improve students? reading comprehension through Know-Want to Know-Learned (KWL) Strategy to class VIII students of SMP Negeri 1 Air Besar Kabupaten Landak in Academic Year 2015/2016. This research was conducted based on the problems found in the classroom. It was found that students had difficulties in understanding the generic structure of narrative text. This research was conducted through a Classroom Action Research in three cycles to 25 students of class VIII. In collecting the data, the researcher used observation and field notes. To analyzed the data by finding and comparing the mean score of the test in cycle 1 ,cycle 2 and cycle 3.  Based on the findings in this research, it was  found that using kWL Stategy in teaching and learning improved students? understanding on how to find the generic structur of narrative text. Besides, the presence of the things interests the students in teaching and learning in the classroom. Keywords: Improve, Reading, KWL Strategy

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to observe the correlation between students’ motivation and their English learning achievement at the Eighth grade of SMP Negeri 2 Sambas in academic year 2016/2017. The sample of this study was the 38 students in class VIIIA. The English learning achievement in this study refers to the students’ English learning score. Based on the aim of the research, the researcher formulated study with correlational study. The students’ motivation score was obtained from questionnaire administered in the class. The questionnaire consisted of 20 items. This questionnaire was adopted from Gardner’s AMTB about motivation questionnaire for learners. For the students’ English learning score, the researcher got it through documentation from the English teacher. This English learning score was obtained from the students’ midterm test. In analyzing the data, the researcher used Pearson Product Moment in the program SPSS 16. The result from the calculation showed that the value of is -0.26. The researcher then compared it with at the significant degree 5% (0.355), the correlation between students’ motivation and their English learning achievement is negative ( : = -0.26 < 0.355). As a result, the alternative hypothesis which states that “there is correlation between X variable and Y variable” is rejected. Keywords: Correlation, Students’ motivation, English Language Achievement

Abstract

Abstrak: Bedasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan dan melalui hasil yang diperoleh setelah dilakukan analisis data, secara umum dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa: Metode deskriptif atau melalui pemberian tugas meningkatkan kemampuan mengurutkan benda pada usia 5-6 tahun karena kegiatan yang dilakukan dapat menghibur anak dalam belajar. Metode ini dapat meningkatkan kemampuan mengurutkan sendiri benda dengan biji karet secara berurutan.antara lain : 1) Guru sebaniknya merencanakan metode dalam memotivasi anak untuk mengurutkan benda dengan biji karet agar kemampuan anak dapat berkembang sebagaimana mestinya. 2) Guru sebaiknya menjelaskan dengan detail dalam mengajarkan anak untuk mengurutkan benda dengan perencanaan yang dibuat. 3) agar menarik minat anak, maka pemblajaran sebaiknya dilakukan melalui kegiatan yang lebih menyenangkan seperti game dan perlombaan. 4) Dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran sebaiknya guru menggunakan media yang besar atau kecil seperti biji karet agar mudah untuk anak mengenal urutan benda. Kata Kunci: Kemampuan Mengurutkan Benda. Abstract:Based on the research that has been done and by the results obtained after the analysis of the data, the general conclusion is that: the descriptive method or through the provision of duty enhance the ability to sort the objects at the age of 5-6 years because of the activities carried out can entertain children in learning. This method can improve the ability to sort themselves objects with rubber seeds sequentially. among other things: 1) Teachers sebaniknya planning methods in motivating children to sort objects with rubber seed so that the child's ability to grow as it should. 2) Teachers should explain in detail in teaching children to sort objects with additional planning. 3) in order to attract children, then pemblajaran should be done through more enjoyable activities such as games and competitions. 4) In the implementation of learning should teachers use large or small media such as rubber seed to make it easier for the child to know the order of things.Keyword : Sorting capabilityObject.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini  bertujuan meningkatkan aktivitas peserta didikdalam pembelajaran ilmu pengetahuan alammenggunakan model kooperatif tipe jigsaw di kelas III SDN 06 Simpang Hulu ketapang. Metode yang digunakan ialah metode deskriptif, Jenis penelitian adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas. Sifat penelitian kualitatif.  Subjek penelitian adalah guru dan peserta didik kelas III Sekolah Dasar Negeri 06Simpang Hulu sejumlah 30 orang. Hasil  penelitian yang diperoleh  dimana aktivitas peserta didik saat mengikuti pembelajaran mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan yaitu aktivitas fisik pada siklus I 44,16% meningkat menjadi 75,82% pada siklus II, kenaikannya berarti sebesar 31,66%, aktivitas mental sebanyak 34,44% pada siklus I meningkat menjadi 68,33% pada siklus II, kenaikannya berarti sebesar 33,89%, aktivitas emosional 61,10% pada siklus I,  meningkat menjadi 86,66% pada siklusII, berarti kenaikannya sebanyak 25,56%. Sedangkan rata-rata pada siklus I yang mencakup ketiga aktivitas  itu adalah sebesar 46,56%, meningkat menjadi 76,93% pada siklus II.   Kata Kunci: Aktivitas, Kooperatif Tipe Jigsaw Abstract: This research is aimed to increase the students activity in learning IPA using cooperative model jigsaw type on grade four of 06 elementary school simpang hulu ketapang. The method used is descriptive method, the research type is a classroom action research. The characteristic of the research is qualitative research. The subjects of the research are teacher and grade four students of 06 elementary school containing 30 students.The result of the research is the students activities in attending the learning got the significant increase that is physical activities on cycle I 44,16 % increase 75,82 % on cyle II, the rising is about 31,66 %  the mental activities is 34,44 % on cycle I increase to 68,33 % on cycle II, the rising is about 33,89 %, the emotional activities is 61,10 % on cycle I, increase to to 86,66% on cycle II, meant that the rising is about 25,56 %. However the average of cycle I containing the three activities is about 46,56%, increase to 76,93 % on cycle II.   The Keywords : Activities, Cooperative Jigsaw Type

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to determine the paskibra extracurricular activities in building students' confidence in SMAN 1 Rasau Jaya. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The data source of this research is student affairs, post-liberal extracurricular trainers, and students who take the paskibra extracurricular activities at SMAN 1 Rasau Jaya. Data obtained through interview, observation, and documentation techniques. The data collection tool used is an observation guide, interview guide and documentation. The results showed that (1) the process of paskibra extracurricular activities in building the confidence of students in Rasau Jaya 1 Public High School can be said to build students' self-confidence because during the extracurricular activities the paskibra students practice by believing in their own abilities and do not expect help from others. There is no student who shows a conformist attitude to get recognition from the group. Students interact well with their fellow friends and coaches so they have good self-control. Students are always eager and persistent to continue to practice so students do not easily give up on fate and not depend on others. (2) The efforts of the paskibra trainer in building the confidence of students through paskibra extracurricular activities at Rasau Jaya 1 Public High School can be said to build students' self-confidence because through several training programs carried out by paskibra trainers such as on-the-spot movements, moving movements, walking movements, praise and punishment can build confidence, mentality, responsibility, courage, independence and discipline. Keywords: Extracurricular, Paskibra, Self Confidence, Students

Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini ialah untuk mengkaji secara mendalam mengenai rencana pembelajaran menulis dongeng, pelaksanaan pembelajaran menulis dongeng, dan evaluasi pembelajaran menulsi dongeng pada siswa kelas VII  semester ganjil SMP Negeri 16 Pontianak tahun pembelajaran 2015/2016. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah metode deskriptif dan bentuk kualitatif. Teknik yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah teknik observasi langsung, menggunakan tes dan dokumentasi. Alat yang digunakan untuk mengumpul data berupa pedoman observasi berupa APKG I dan APKG II. Teknik analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil analisis dalam pembelajaran menulis dongeng pada siswa kelas VII semester ganjil SMP Negeri 16 Pontianak tahun pembelajaran 2015/2016, peneliti dapat menyimpulkan bahwa guru bidang studi bahasa dan sastra Indonesia yaitu Ibu Euis Tarliana, M.Pd. sudah dapat dikatakan memenuhi persyaratan yang diperlukan sebagai perlengkapan dalam membuat perencanaan pembelajaran, pelaksanaan pembelajaran, dan evaluasi. Kata Kunci: Pembelajaran menulis, dongeng Abstract: The purpose of this study was to examine in depth about the lesson plan writing fairy tales, fairy tale writing learning implementation, and evaluation of learning menulsi fairy tales to the first semester of seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 16 Pontianak learning year 2015/2016. The method used in this research is descriptive and qualitative terms. The technique used in this study is the direct observation techniques, using tests and documentation. The tools used to collect the data in the form of guidelines for observation form APKG APKG I and II. The analysis technique used in this research is a qualitative descriptive. The analysis technique used in this research is a qualitative descriptive. The results of the analysis in learning to write a story on the first semester of seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 16 Pontianak learning year 2015/2016, the researchers conclude that the teachers of Indonesian language and literature is Mrs. Euis Tarliana, M.Pd. can already be said to meet the necessary requirements as a fixture in the planning of learning, learning implementation, and evaluation.   Keywords: Learning to write, tales

Abstract

AbstractThis research aims to develop google classroom based cereer information service for vocational school. The development model is used a modification of Borg and Gall development research and Dick and Carey instruction model desaign including : initial product and field care used direct communication, indirect interview guidelines, quetionnaires and test. Data analysis uses qualitative and quantitative analysis. The result of the experts assessment show that statistic google classroom based career information service for vocational school is suitable for use. Student response result in field trials showed positive result on the use career information media in service. The application of media in service shows that student more understand about their future career. Based on data analysis, the result of this aims indicate that media that was developed can be used by leaners easily, enjoyable and can be used independently. Keywords: Career Information, Google Classroom, Service Media,

Abstract

Abstrak : Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan bentuk Penelitian Tindakan Kelas. Siklus Penelitian Tindakan Kelas terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan pedoman observasi dan wawancara. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan hasil analisis data maka secara umum dapat disimpulkan bahwa adanya peningkatan yang signifikan terhadap kemampuan berhitung anak melalui permainan pohon hitung pada anak usia 4-5 tahun di TK Hang Tuah VI Pontianak. Secara khusus kesimpulanya adalah sebagai berikut: 1) Perencanaan pembelajaran menggunakan permainan pohon hitung pada anak usia 4-5 tahun di TK Hang Tuah VI Pontianak telah direncanakan dengan baik 2) Pelaksanaan pembelajaran menggunakan permainan pohon hitung pada anak usia 4-5 tahun di TK Hang Tuah VI Pontianak telah dilaksanakan dengan baik 3) Kemampuan berhitung pada anak usia 4-5 tahun dengan menggunakan permainan pohon hitung di TK Hang Tuah VI Pontianak terjadi peningkatan sebesar 37,33%. Kata Kunci : Kemampuan Berhitung, Permainan Pohon Hitung. Abstract: The method used is descriptive method with the form of classroom action research. Class Action Research Cycle consists of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Collecting data using observation and interview. Based on the research and the data analysis in general it can be concluded that the significant increase in the numeracy skills of children through the game tree count in children aged 4-5 years in kindergarten Hang Tuah VI Pontianak. Specifically kesimpulanya are as follows: 1) Planning of learning using the game tree count in children aged 4-5 years in kindergarten Hang Tuah VI Pontianak been well planned 2) Implementation of learning using the game tree count in children aged 4-5 years in kindergarten Hang Tuah VI Pontianak have been executed better 3) the ability to count in children aged 4-5 years using the game tree count in kindergarten Hang Tuah VI Pontianak an increase of 37.33%. Abstract

AbstractAbstract: The aim of this study was to determine the effect of the implementation of direct instruction using mind mapping to enhance the students’ outcomes in quantities, unit and measurement to the seventh grade students of Mts Islamiyah Pontianak. The research was conducted in form of pre-experimental design with one group pretest-posttest design. The sample was chosen by using intact group method, the seventh grade with the number of 19 students to be treated. Based on result from t-test, the significant value was 0,00 that is smaller than 0,05, So it was concluded that h0 was rejected and ha was accepted, which means the implementation of direct instruction using mind mapping influence and increase students’ outcomes. The effect size after the treatment based on the calculation of n-gain was 0,25 with low category. This data showed that there was difference of learning outcomes before and after the treatment. This research is expected to be one of the teaching alternatives for teacher to improve students’ outcomes. Keywords: Direct Instruction, Mind Mapping, Student’s Outcome

Abstract

Abstract This research occurs as writers’ pretension to find what are the values of character education in the novel Negeri di Ujung Tanduk by Tere Liye. The problems that will discuss in this research are truth value, responsibility value, intelligent value, care value, and teamwork value and implementation of character education’s values in Bahasa Indonesia lesson grade Senior High School. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The approachement is Sosiology Literature approach. The data source is novel Negeri di Ujung Tanduk by Tere Liye, moreover the data in this research is the quotation from the novel itself. The result of this research is about value of character education which including in the novel concerning (1) truth value; (2) the value of responsibility; (3) the value of dilligence; (4) the value of care; (5) the value of teamwork; and (6) the plan of implementation of character education value to bahasa Indonesia lesson which is view from curriculum aspect, including the lesson objection, the selection of teaching material, and grade of appropriate reading become lesson material for students grade XII of senior high school.
