Abstract

AbstractThis study discusses about the efforts of librarians in developing the quality of library services at the University of Muhammadiyah Pontianak. This study was to find out how the efforts of librarians and library managers in developing service quality and the obstacles encountered during carrying out. Collecting data used were observation, interviews, and documentation. The informants in this study which are the librarians of the place where the research was conducted. The results of the analysis found that the quality of services provided by the library was good in terms of general services such as circulation, references, electronics, and membership services, but not yet in terms of college standards library. It can be seen from some obstacles that are still faced such as the lack of attention from the related stakeholders. The librarians is trying to build better communication with superiors of educational institutions and also has made plans to develop quality services such as building Muhammadiyah Corner, adding new collections, room improvements, and together with the head of library planning to add human resources to manage the library.Keywords: librarians, quality, services, library

Abstract

Abstract The aim of this research was to find out the of using reading text to increase students’ ability in writing procedure text at the eleventh grade students of SMP ISLAM BAWARI  Pontianak. The aim of this research was to know whether teaching Vocabulary  by using reading text was effective to the eleventh grade students.The research method was pre- experimental research with one group pretest-posttest design. The population was the eleventh grade students. The sample was XI D which consist 15 students. The technique of data collection was measurement technique and the tool of data collection was a written test. The result of T-test was 8.4 and the effect size was 2.2. It means that the effect size was high effect with ES > 0.8 (2.2 > 0,8). Based on the result, the null hypothesis was rejected and the alternative hypothesis was accepted. The conclusion that the use of reading text is effective to teach students’ vocabularyKeywords : Vocabulary, Reading Text, SMP ISLAM BAWARI.

Abstract

AbstrackThis research aimed to know about "The effect of Class Management  to the social study result at the  seven class SMP Negeri 09 Pontianak". The problem in this study is how is class management in SMP Negeri 09 Pontianak, What are the social study result to the seven class SMP Negeri 09 Pontianak, Is there any influence between class and management on the social  study result to the seven class SMP Negeri 09 Pontianak.  The variables in this study are independent variables and dependent variables, which are independent variables namely class management while the dependent variable is student study result. Sources of data in this study are student study result of social studies subjects, while the method used is descriptive quantitative, the population in this study amounted to 70 students of seven class. Based on the data analysis technique, the regression equation is Y = 14,971 + 0,711X. The results of the T test show that t count> t table is calculated> t table (7.196> 1.995) While the determinant coefficient value is 0.432 which means the percentage of the contribution of management class and infrastructure to student learning outcomes is 43.2%.       Keywords : Management Class, Student Learning outcomes

Abstract

Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui perencanaan, pelaksanaan dalam meningkatkan kemampuan motorik halus melalui pembelajaran melukis dengan jari pada anak usia 5-6 tahun di Taman Kanak-Kanak Mutiara Sungai Kakap dan untuk mengetahui kemampuan anak mengkoordinasikan gerakan jari tangan pada kegiatan melukis dengan jari. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan menggunakan bentuk penelitian tindakan kelas. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah peneliti, teman kolaborasi dan anak kelompok B yang berjumlah 15 orang. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa perencanaan pembelajaran dan pelaksanaan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan motorik halus melalui pembelajaran melukis dengan jari dapat dikategorikan “Baik”. Peningkatan kemampuan motorik halus melalui pembelajaran melukis dengan jari yaitu anak dapat menggerakkan jari untuk menggunakan bubur cat pada pola gambar, anak menggunakan jari dalam mengekspresikan diri melalui gerakan menggambar secara detail, anak menggunakan jari untuk menggambar menggunakan beberapa cara dalam melukis dengan menggunakan jari seperti melukis dengan model lingkaran, model zig-zag, dan dengan cara mengarsir. Kata Kunci: Motorik Halus, Melukis Dengan Jari, Usia 5-6 Tahun   Abstract: Study is to examine the planning, implementation to improve fine motor skills through learning finger painting in children aged 5-6 years in Mutiara Kindergarten at Sungai Kakap and to determine the child's ability to coordinate the movement of a finger on finger painting activities. The method used is descriptive method using a form of action research. Subjects in this study is the researcher, friend of collaboration and group B children amount 15 people. The results of the data analysis showed that the lesson planning and implementation to improve fine motor skills through learning finger painting can be categorized as “Good". Improved fine motor skills through learning finger painting that the child can move the finger to use slurry paint on the image pattern, the child uses the fingers to express themselves through movement drawing in detail, using a finger to draw a child's use in several ways such as finger painting using paint with cycle models, models of zig-zag, and by means of shading. Abstract

Abstract : Action Research emphasizes the use of media images in order to improve students ability to communicate their ideas in response to questions about Indonesian learning in Clas VA students of SDN 15 North Pontianak. The method used in this research is Descriptive, Qualitative Approach and Using Action Research Approach . This Action Research consisted of two cycles of action. In the implementation, cycle 1 and cycle 2 consist of the following activities : 1 ) planing, 2) implementation, 3) observation, 4) reflection. The result after the implementation of cycle 1and cycle 2 which uses media images can improve the ability to communicate ideas in response to problems in learning Indonesian to class VA students of SDN 15 North Pontianak, by the number of learners are 33 which consisted of 14 male learners and 19 female Learners. This is evidenced by the average results of this study is 57.53 in cycle 1 to 77.4 in cycle 2. It increased to 19.87. So, the conclusion from this study that media images can enhance studentss ability to communicate their ideas inresponseto problems about Indonesian learning in class VA students of SDN 15 north Pontianak. Abstrak : Penelitian Tindakan Kelas ini menekankan pada penggunaan media gambar agar dapat meningkatkan kemampuan peserta didik mengkomunikasikan ide dalam menanggapi persoalan pada pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di kelas VA Sekolah Dasar Negeri 15 Pontianak Utara. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriftif, pendekatan penelitian kualitatif, dan menggunakan prosedur Penelitian Tindakan Kelas . Penelitian Tindakan Kelas ini terdiri atas dua siklus. Dalam pelaksana annya, siklus I dan siklus II terdiri dari kegiatan-kegiatan sebagai berikut : 1) Perencanaan, 2) Pelaksanaan, 3) Observasi, 4) Refleksi. Hasil penelitian setelah dilaksanakan siklus I dan siklus II ternyata penggunaan media gambar dapat meningkat kan kemampuan mengkomunikasikan ide dalam menanggapi persoalan pada pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di kelas VA Sekolah Dasar Negeri 15 Pontianak Utara, dengan jumlah peserta didik 33 orang yang terdiri 14 peserta didik laki-laki dan 19 peserta didik perempuan. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan nilai rata-rata hasil belajar yaitu 57,53 pada sklus I menjadi 77,4 pada siklus II,meningkat menjadi 19,87.Jadi,kesimpulan pada penelitian ini adalah bahwa penggunaan media gambar dapat meningkatkan kemampuan peserta didik mengkomunikasikan ide dalam menanggapi persoalan pada pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di kelas VA Sekolah Dasar Negeri 15 Pontianak Utara. Abstract

Abstrak:Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan citra perempuan dilihat dari kedudukan, bentuk ketidakadilan dan perjuangan yang dilakukan oleh tokoh perempuan dalam autobiografi Perempuan-Perempuan Harem Karya Fatima Mernissi. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan bentuk kualitatif. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kritik sastra feminis. Hasil penelitian yaitu: 1) kedudukan tokoh perempuan adalah sebagai ibu rumah tangga dan bekerja di wilayah domestik, 2) bentuk ketidakadilan tokoh perempuan dalam autobiografi Perempuan-Perempuan Harem Karya Fatima Mernissi berupa stereotype, kekerasan (kekerasan domestik dan kekerasan publik) dan beban kerja, 3) perjuangan tokoh perempuan dalam autobiografi Perempuan-Perempuan Harem Karya Fatima Mernissi berupa pemberian pemahaman dan mengutarakan pendapat.   Kata kunci: Citra perempuan, autobiografi, teori feminisme. Abstract: This research aims to describe image of women in standpoint of level, injustice experienced, and a striving that done by female characters in autobiography Perempuan-Perempuan Harem written by Fatima Mernissi. The method used is descriptive method in form of qualitative. The approach used is feminist literature criticism approach. The results of this research are: 1) the level of female characters are as housewife and working at domestic area, 2) kinds of injustice to women in autobiography Perempuan-Perempuan Harem written by Fatima Mernissi are stereotype, abuse (domestic and public abuse) and burden of work, 3) the striving of female characters in autobiography Perempuan-Perempuan Harem of Fatima Mernissi is an explanation and thought. Abstract

  Abstract This research is based on the result of the observation which conclude that a poor skill of students writing, it is happen because of students are still lacking learn vocabulary in spelling so that students difficulties in writing systematics official letter. The purpose of this research are to describe planning, implementation, and evaluation in teaching writing official letters based on educational unit level curriculum. The method apply in this research is descriptive method. Descriptive method is used to get a clear view about teaching writing official letters from teaching implementation side based on educational unit level curriculum which done by the teacher and the student whether it is agree with the quideline which has been fixed. The data collection are collected by observation documentation, interview and test. The result of the data analiysis shown that lesson plan which has been made by the teacher in the first and second in teaching official letters have been comply whith a request.   Keywords: Teaching Learning, Writing, Official Letter

Abstract

Abstrak: Judul penelitian ini adalah peningkatan kemampuan membaca bahasa Indonesia melalui metode cooperative script kelas IV SD. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengungkapkan dampak kemampuan membaca menggunakan metodecooperative script di kelas IV SD Swasta Erna dalam mengatasi ketidakmampuan membaca. Metode penelitian yang digunakan deskriptif, bentuk penelitian surve, subjek penelitian adalah 39 siswa kelas IV SD Swasta Erna. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah observasi langsung, sedangkan alat pengumpulan data adalah lembar observasi melalui pengamatan. Hasil pengamatan terdapat kemampuan membaca dengan menjawab pertanyaan pada teks bacaan menunjukan peningkatan. Kemampuan guru dalam melaksanakan metode cooperative script pada pembelajaran kemampuan membaca dapat terlaksana sesuai dengan apa yang diharapkan. Kata Kunci: Peningkatan Kemampuan Membaca,Cooperative Script Abstract: The title of this research is the improvement reading ability by Cooperative Script method studying Indonesian language in elementary school grade four. The reseachs purpuse is to overcome reading disability by Cooperative Script method in elementary school Erna grade IV. The research method is descriptive, the form is surve, the subject is 39 students grade IV elementary school Erna. The technique of data assamble is direct observation and the tool is obervation sheets. From the observation result there is improvement reading ability by answer the text questions. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendiskripsikan penggunaan metode inkuiri dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam di kelas III SD Negeri 2 Mempawah Timur. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian tindakan kelas dengan bentuk penelitian kuantitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas III SD Negeri 2 Mempawah Timur. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah  observasi langsung dan alat pengumpul data yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi serta tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukan kemampuan guru merencanakan pembelajaran mengalami peningkatan sebesar 84,90% katagori baik, kemampuan guru dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran sebesar 3,45 katagori baik dan hasil belajar siswa mencapai skor maksimal dengan nilai 83,25 % terjadi peningkatan 12,44%.   Kata Kunci: hasil belajar, metode inkuiri, ilmu pengetahuan alam Abstract: This study aims to describe the use of inquiry method in improving student learning outcomes in learning Science in class III Elementary School 2 Mempawah Timur. The method used was action research methods with quantitative research form. The subjects were students class III of Elementary School 2 Mempawah Timur. Data collection techniques used are direct observation and data collection tool used is the observation sheet and test. The results showed the ability of teachers to plan learning has increased by 84,90% both categories, the ability of teachers to implement instructional 3,45 for both categories of student learning outcomes and achieving a maximum score of 83,25% with an increase in the value of 12,44%. Abstract

AbstractThe research is conducted with background that society lack of interest toward traditional dance function. In Nyobeng ceremony, Bidayuh Dayaknesse has several sacred dances which performanced. In the first day of Nyobeng ceremony, a dance called Maniamas is dance where the dancers circling a certain house, the cube house, while Maniamas instrumental is played. The purposes of this research are to review the function of Maniamas dance thoroughly and to learn every steps of preparation before the performance.The metodology of this research is descriptive-equalitative with anthropology approach. The source is Gunawan whom familiar with Maniamas ritual in Nyobeng ceremony in Sebujit village. The data of analysis are interview and documents.The result of this study was to explain that Maniamas dance was a ritual dance characterised by its place, dancers, date, offering, purposes, and costume which gave a sacred vibe. Maniamas danced with purposes to welcome the guests and to thank God who gave lifes, who delivered human from evil, also as a mediation to summon the ancestors spirit which kept the Nyobeng ritual safe. Nyobeng is a ceremony which cleanse the sacred items like skeleton from “mengayau” done by elders in past time. Nyobeng has 11 steps to follow and it is held in seven consecutive days. This study contributed learning materials for eleventh grade students in CD form. Keywords: ritual, Nyobeng, Maniamas dance.
