Abstract

Abstract The potention of students learning trajectory in comparison of trigonometry of X IPA students at SMAN 1 Pontianak were uneffective. This research was describe to the potention of students learning trajectory there was a new inovation in mathematics learning model using learning trajectory, and to increase mathematics learning effectiveness of learning trajectory towar the potention of student on learning goals, learning activity, and hypothetical learning trajectory . This research is in the form of a semi-descriptive qualitative that uses a single subject design. The research sample consisted of 6 student (10% of 40 student in a class) as the experimental group selected by participatory observation technique. Participatory observation technique test, interview guidelines, documentation, discussion group forum and triangulation/combination were used to collect data. Based on final pretest and posttest data analysis using directly to completion. This is indicated by the increasing potential of students' learning trajectory in trigonometric comparisons in senior high schools using learning trajectory successfully achieved through unit circles. Thus, the potention of students learning trajectory can build on mathematical conceptual understanding in trigonometric comparison material. Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menentukan pengaruh strategi REACT terhadap hasil belajar siswa SMA Negeri 5 pada materi larutan penyangga. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu dengan rancangan penelitian Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPA 3 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI IPA 4 sebagai kelas kontrol yang diperoleh dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan tes hasil belajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata skor posttest kelas kontrol adalah 38,52 dan rata-rata skor posttest kelas eksperimen adalah 52,78. Berdasarkan  uji U-Mann Whitney, diperoleh Asymp.Sig (2-tailed) = 0,000 yang berarti terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar antara siswa kelas kontrol dan siswa kelas eksperimen pada materi larutan penyangga. Hasil dari perhitungan effect size adalah 1,3 yang berarti strategi REACT memberikan pengaruh yang besar terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar siswa.   Kata Kunci: Strategi REACT, Hasil Belajar, Larutan Penyangga   Abstract: The Purpose of this study was to determine the effect of REACT strategy toward learning outcome of SMA Negeri 5 Pontianak students on buffer solution material. The study was quasi-experimental with the study design was nonequivalent control group design. The study samples were the students of XI grade of IPA 3 as experimental class and XI grade of IPA 4 as control class that was determined by cluster random sampling technique. Data were collected by using learning outcome test. The results of the study showed that the average score of posttest control group was 38.52 and the average score of posttest experimental class was 52.78. According to U-Mann Whitney test, Asymp.Sig (2-tailed) was 0.000 which meant that there was a difference in learning outcome between the control class and experimental class students on buffer solution material. The result of the calculation of effect size was 1.3, which meant REACT strategy provided a major influence on improving student learning outcome.   Keywords: REACT Strategy, Learning Outcome, Buffer Solution

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to determine the emotional intelligence of students in learning financial accounting in Ak 2 class SMKN 3 Pontianak. This research is based on the finding of a problem when the authors make observations about the emotional intelligence of students when learning financial accounting. The research method used is descriptive method with a qualitative approach and survey research forms. The source of data in this study is the students of class XI AK 2, amounting to 38 students. Data collection is obtained through observation guidelines and interview guidelines, then analysis using data reduction, data presentation, and verification / conclusion drawing based on students' affective success based on comparison of numbers (percentages) and predicates, then checking the validity of the data using technical trigulations. The author conducts research by conducting research observations 2 times and interviewing 1 time. The results show that recognizing one's emotions (self-awareness) can be stated to be unfavorable, managing emotions (self-regulation) and motivating yourself can be declared not good, recognizing the emotions of others (empathy) expressed otherwise, and building relationships (social skills) can be expressed sufficiently well. Keywords: Recognizing Self Emotions, Managing Emotions, Motivating Yourself, Recognize the Emotions of Others, Build Relationships

Abstract

AbstractThis research aims to describe the planning, implementation, the learning outcomes in writing procedure text instruction using the 3M (observing, imitating, adding) technique. This is a classroom action research on class VII students of SMPN 3 Sungai Betung, conducted in two cycles. The research method used was descriptive in the form of qualitative research. Data were analyzed qualitatively to determine the achievement level of learning outcomes in quantitative form using a simple statistical method. The findings showed that the 3M technique improved the students? learning outcomes. (1) The planning in cycles I and II was in accordance with the steps in the selected technique; However, one step of the technique had not been included in the lesson plan and had been revised in cycle II. (2) The implementation in cycle I had run well; However, one of the learning steps in the lesson plan had not been done and had been revised in cycle II. (3) The learning outcomes, as seen from the average of the test in cycles I and II improved from 59.5 to 71.6. Abstract

AbstractSanto Ignasius Senior High School that is located in Singkawang city is a school managed by a foundation named Yayasan Pengabdi untuk Sesama Manusia (YPSM). Since 2002, the top management of Ignasius Senior High School (ISHS) have built the building and developed the system. New and permanent classrooms, large library, and modern laboratories indicates that change. The new students come to Ignasius have better quality than before. Teachers and students develop their capability year by year. These things motivated the researcher to research how the principle manages that change, especially to improve teachers performance.This research is a descriptive qualitative research. The researcher comes to Ignasius SHS several times for observation about management of chage hold by principal. The researcher interviews some of the teacher and students, and principal as data resources. When the data have good validity and reability, the researcher analyse them qualitatively and then describes the result of analysis. First of all, the researcher found that Ignasius SHS has developed phisically. With good cooperation between the principal and the leader of YPSM, at last they could build new and permanent classrooms, compliting the learning teaching facilities, and proportional parking area. Based the data, the change is not only happens phisically, but also on the system. This is proved by notula, the minutes of meetings, researcher got from administration office.Second, the most important factor about change happens in Ignasius SHS is management by principle. The principle has done planning, coordinating, and also evaluating all programs. The principle also made good cooperation with all stakeholders so Ignasius SHS can reach that achievement. Third, changes happen in Ignasius SHS significantly influence teachers achievement. When principle doing open management and focusing on better performance, it raises people trust. The people will send their children to Ignasius year by year. As a result, management has better capability to pay teachers salary.Keywords:Change Management, Performance Improvement, Teachers

Abstract

Abstract This research aimed to describe the improvement of students’ achievement in thematic learning by using numbered head together type to year 4B students at SD Negeri 17 Pontianak Kota. The research used descriptive method. The research design used was classroom action research. The subject of the research was a teacher and thirty students of year 4B. Tools of data collecting were instrument of teacher’s observasion sheets (IPKG 1and IPKG 2) and written test to measure students’ achievement. Tools of data analysis used was average score pattern. The results of this research showed that the average score of teacher’s ability in planning thematic learning by using numbered head together type at cycle 1 was 3,65 and improved to 3,89 at cycle 2. The average score of teacher’s ability in implementing thematic learning by using numbered head together at cycle 1 was 3,47 and improved to 3,87 at cycle 2. The average score of students’ achievement at cycle 1 was 88,67 and at cycle 2 improved to 92,67 excedeed the passing grade of 70,00. Based on data analysis, showed that the use of numbered head together type could improve teacher’s ability in planning and implementing thematic learning to improve students’ achievement.   Keywords:Thematics Learning, Numbered Head Together Type, Achievement

Abstract

AbstractThis research aims to know the influence of using practical guide video media to increase students’ science achievement on organization life materials of the class VII students of Gembala Baik Pontianak. The method used in the study is Quasi Experiment with pretest-posttest control group design. The population is the class VII students of Gembala Baik Pontianak sample VIIB  as experimental class and VIIA control class. The result of research shows average posttest experimental class is 80,13, while the average posttest control class is 73,47. Based on the U Mann-Whitney test with significance level α = 5% indicated there were differences between students that taught by using practical guide video media with students taught by using conventional media. The value of effect size is 1,03 with high category it means practical guide video media gave effect on students learning outcomes.Keywords: Practical Guide Video Media, Students’ Achievement, Life Organization

Abstract

AbstractThe problem that happened in this research is the lack of chest pool style learning method for the learners of speech in SLB Dharma Asih Pontianak . This study aims to determine the influence of drill methods on swimming style for learners of speech in SLB Dharma Asih Pontianak City. The form of research used is pre-experimental design this use one-group pretest-posttest desig n. The data collection tool is an assessment sheet with the number of 5 tests submitted. The sample of this research is the students of speech class VII, VIII and IX of SMP SLB B Dharma Asih of Pontianak City which amounted to 15 specially selected / nonrandom learners by using purposive sampling technique. Technique of data collection is done by using assessment sheet. Data analysis techniques by performing some tests with the help of SPPS Version 22. Based on data analysis result obtained pretest average equal to 61,3% and posttest equal to 74,7% with increase of 13,4 % . Then the result of T-test sig.0,00 3 <0,05 indicating that Ho rejected and Ha accepted meaning it can be concluded that there are differences in their the influence of drill methods on chest pool for learner SLB Dharma Asih Pontianak teaching students before and after being given treatment .Keywords : Drill Method, Pool Chest Style , Speech

Abstract

AbstractThe aims of this research is to know the integration of Three character (discipline, creative, and responsible) through Paikem in Elementary School Pontianak West Accredited A in terms of planning, realization, and evaluation of learning. The research was conducted in Elementary School 71 Pontianak West and in Elementary School Pontianak West. This research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. The subjects in this research is the head of school, teachers, and learners. The data was collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted through phases: data reduction, display data, and with drawal as conclusion. Techniques examination of the data validity using triangulation. The result shows that Three character (discipline, creative, and responsible) through Paikem integrated in planning, implementation and evaluation of the learning already running well. Planning learning characterized by entering the element Paikem and designing lesson. The lesson character already done by applying Learning, Active, Innovative, Creative, Effective, dan fun (PAIKEM) conducted through exemplary teachers and done every day by all citizens of the school. Abstract

1 This research is based on the facts in the field that show the results of learning to listening the news has not achieved the expected results. This is because teachers are still using conventional learning model, less varied and less interesting, so that students' activities seem monotonous in following the learning. This research  were conducted in three cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, acting, observation, and reflection. The research method used is descriptive method, the research form is qualitative, and the type of research is classroom action research (PTK). The results showed that the learning strategy of The Power Of Two can improve  the ability of teacher in planning and actingof news gathering learning  1 plan to learning.  On the first cycle, the score was 46,40, the second cycle the score was 47,00 and third cycle the score was 48,00.  All thethird score is on verygood categorized.  APKG 2 of the teacher acts on the learning, the score in cycle 1 it 39,00 which in good categorized. Cycle 2 and 3 the score in 42,67 and 45,67 which in very good categorized.   Keywords: Listening, news, strategy The Power of Two
