Abstract

This research is motivated by the uniqueness of the ritual Muang Panyakit Padi which lies in the form of presentation and function of music in the ritual. Therefore researchers document the form of presentation and function of music in the ritual Muang Panyakit Padi in the form of writing and pictures. The research method used is descriptive method in the form of qualitative research and an anthropological approach. Data obtained from interviews, observations, and documentation. The data validity technique used source triangulation and observation extension. Based on data analysis, it was concluded that the ritual Muang Panyakit Padi is a ritual that aims ask to God(Jubata) for help so that the rice to be harvested is protected from all diseases. Traditionally this ritual is performed once a year before the rice harvest. This tradition is packaged in the form of a nyangahatn(prayer) that involves many groups, namely the Tuha Tahutn (the organizer), shamans, and the local community. This tradition also includes a praise event in the form of pencak silat accompanied by ensemble music. The musical ensemble consists of Dau, Agukng, and Tuma'. The function of music in the ritual Muang Panyakit Padi has a function as (1) As Accompaniment Music, (2) cultural continuity, (3) entertainment, (4) means of communication, (5) means of education, (6) sociological means

Abstract

AbstractThis research focuses on school policies in supporting the career development of teachers at SD Negeri 02 Balai, Balai, Sanggau. The purpose of this study was to find out how school policies were in supporting the career development of teachers. This research uses a qualitative research method, identify a topic or focus, selecting participants, foreshadowed questions, data collection, data analysis, and interpretation of results. The conclusions of study are: (1) School policies are improving teacher professionalism and building teacher networks; (2) Programs and strategies are facilitate teachers to get recognition as professional and build a network, increasing the qualifications of academic education, encouraging teachers to continue study, and building teacher network; (3) The inhibiting factors are teachers have not mastered effective learning planning; (4) The efforts are increasing teacher professionalism, schools provide teachers motivation, schools require teachers to take part in KKG, and building teacher networks. Suggestions in this study are: (1) For teachers carry out and improve the task as a professional; (2) For schools where implementing policies to improve teacher professionalism and building networks; (3) For the Department, carry out and make effective monitoring activities and makes training and education programs according to what teachers need.Keywords: career development, school policy, teacher.

Abstract

AbstractThe study aims*to identify students’ concepts understanding in the material of uniformly changing straight motion in SMA Negeri 1 Tanah Pinoh. The study used a survey method without a comparison class that is descriptive correlative. The research instrument was a multiple-choice diagnostic test with three answer choices, ten questions were about conceptual understanding, and ten questions were about learning outcomes test. The validation of the*learning outcomes test was 3.36 with valid criteria, while the reliability of the learning outcomes test was 0.44 with the medium category. The result found that the students’ concepts understanding was classified low with an*average percentage of 31.39%. The students’ concepts understanding with the highest percentage is in the interpretation aspect of 41.67% with a sufficient category, and the minor percentage is in exploration aspects with 31.39%. The study did not find a correlation of rcount 0,360 < rtable 0,179 between conceptual understanding and learning outcomes. Therefore, the understanding concept becomes an essential principle for achieving physics learning outcomes. The study also found that there had not been any difference among gender as indicated by the results of the MannWhitney test (P> 0.05), with the analysis results showing that female students were higher than male students in the aspects of translation and extrapolation. While, in the interpretation aspects, male students are higher than female students. Thus, the results of this study are expected to be a consideration for determining the learning model to improve students' concepts understanding.Keywords: Concept Understanding, Gender, Learning Outcome.

Abstract

Abstract This study aimed to asses the effectiveness of Guided Inquiry Learning Model with Mind Mapping to remediate student’s misconception on ‘work’ for grade X IPA student of SMA Negeri 3 Pontianak.. The method used in this research was preexperimental method with the one-group pretest-posttest design. Samples of study were purposive sampling and selected base on Physics teacher’s recommendation. The instrument of research included 10 questions of diagnostic test. The average range of students misconception in pre test was 82,94% and in post test was 30% . The average range decreased 64,36% after the treatment. Based on McNemar test, overall students experienced significant misconception with value of χ2 count (82,51) > χ 2 table (3,84), df=1 and α = 5%. The effectiveness of Guided Inquiry Learning Model with Mind Mapping to remediate student’s misconception about ‘work’ that used to reduce the misconcepted students through DQM of 64,37% which included in medium category. Therefore, teachers suggested to used Guided Inquiry Learning Model as alternative learning technique in order to straighten out student misconception in the material ‘work’. Abstract

Abstract The study of the Madurese Traditional Marriage Terminology in Mempawah in WajokHilir Village has three traditional processions that must be carried out by the bride and groom and their families. First, the pre-wedding procession which consists of five traditional processes that must be carried out, namely; (1) ngangane, (2) arabe fence, (3) nyabe' snack, (4) teketpetton, and (5) nyedektemo. After carrying out the pre-wedding rituals or traditional traditions, the second procession is followed by a wedding procession. In the wedding procession, there are four traditional processions that the bride and groom must undergo, namely; (1) arepbe, (2) bereskoneng, (3) contract, and (4) delivery of the weakest delivery. Then the third or final procession is the post-wedding procession. In the postwedding procession, the bride and groom are required to carry out the traditional cenglanceng ritual, the ritual is a closing ritual. In the cenglanceng ritual, the bride and groom carry out a slametan procession or salvation for the marriage that has been carried out and hope that the marriage can get safety and happiness in building a household. Abstract

AbstractNot all behavior is self- or human-initiated, yet, bullying in the school environment is unavoidable. Bullying can be vocal or nonverbal. (1) What are the different types of bullying at MTs Bustanul Ulum Mempawah Timur? (2) What are the different types of bullying at MTs Bustanul Ulum Mempawah Timur? (2) Why is spiritual counseling provided at MTs Bustanul Ulum Mempawah Timur? (3) What role do BK teachers play at MTs Bustanul Ulum Mempawah Timur in spiritual counseling? This study intends to explain the types of bullying that occur among MTs Bustanul students The approach utilized was descriptive, and the research was conducted in the form of a survey. Three students and a BK teacher participated in this study. A qualitative technique is used in this research. Observation, interviews, and documentation were utilized to obtain data. Verbal bullying includes (1)swearing,(2)insulting,(3)labeling,(4)yelling, (5)humiliating in public, (6) accusing, and (7) slandering, according to the findings of the study. Religious therapies and scripture-based interventions are used in the approach. While BK teachers' primary responsibilities are to provide assistance, coaching/awards, enlightenment, role modeling, encouragement, and problem solving, in order to deliver a more accurate image in the future.Keywords: Bullying, Spiritual Counseling

Abstract

This study examines the role of teachers in strengthening character education to foster disciplined behavior among students at SMP 23 Pontianak. The background of this research is based on the importance of character education as an effort to shape a generation with disciplined and responsible behavior. This research employs a qualitative method with a literature study approach, where data are gathered from relevant literature sources, including research findings, research reports, journals, or articles. The study results show that teachers play an essential role as role models, motivators, and facilitators in the learning process to build student discipline. Teachers consistently apply disciplinary values through classroom rules, supervision, and persuasive and communicative approaches. This implementation of character education has proven effective in increasing students"™ awareness and compliance with school rules, thereby creating a conducive learning environment

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to determine and describe the internalization of the values of the Abstinence Tradition in Malay Culture among MA Rahmatan Lil'Alamin Wajok Hilir students in Mempawah Regency. This research uses qualitative methods with descriptive form. The data collection techniques used were direct interviews and documentation. The subjects of this study were students of MA Rahmatan Lil'Alamin and the Principal of Madrasahs and the teacher councils. The results of the study show that the values of the Abstinence Tradition in Malay Culture have been internalized well in MA Rahmatan Lil'Alamin. The values of the Abstinence Tradition which are internalized in MA Rahmatan Lil'Alamin students are religious values, politeness values, moral values, and disciplinary values. The value of the Abstinence Tradition in Malay Culture is internalized by using two methods, namely the method of giving advice and the method of taking lessons. In internalizing the values of the Abstinence Tradition in Malay Culture among MA Rahmatan Lil'Alamin students, there are several supporting and inhibiting factors, both external and internal factors.Keywords: Internalization, Tradition Value, Abstinence

Abstract

Mangrove forests experience degradation every year. One of the effort to protect and preserve mangroves is to increase knowledge through disseminating information about mangroves. Knowledge about mangrove can be included in the learning process through media at school, so that students can understand the important role of mangroves in life. The aim was of this research is were to create and validate an electronic flashcard (e-flashcard) media for the diversity of mangrove plant species. The research method used descriptivequantitative. E-Flashcards are made in three stages, namely preproduction, production, and post-production. The E-Flashcard validation stage consisted of validating the instrument validation questionnaire sheet and the media validation. The items assessed on the media validation sheet consisted of 5 aspects (format, content, language, effectiveness, and practicality) with 14 criteria assessed using a Likert scale. Validation was carried out by 5 validators consisting of 2 biology education lecturers at FKIP Tanjungpura University and 3 Senior High School at class X biology teachers. The results showed that the average CVI value attanined 1.00 was declared valid. In conclucion e"“flashcard of plant diversity of mangrove species can be used as a learning medium in the diversity sub-material of Senior High School at class X.

Abstract

AbstractMarriage custom is a tradition or custom that is usually carried out by certain communities with regional uniqueness that is different from other regions. The custom of marriage is a cultural value that must be preserved and preserved and cannot be denied, as in the current era of globalization, the tradition of marriage has gradually begun to be abandoned by the community. The main focus that the author will examine is regarding the terms used in the traditional marriage procession, especially in the Dayak Bakati Payut'n community in Bengkayang Regency. The terms in the custom of the Dayak Bakati Payut'n marriage in Bengkayang Regency are very diverse, although they are rarely found. Data collection on terms in marriage customs is divided into three stages, namely pre-marriage, implementation of marriage and post-marriage. The method used in this research is descriptive method with qualitative research form. The techniques used in this research are observation, interview technique, fishing rod technique, face-to-face technique, note-taking technique and recording technique, while the tools used are questionnaires and documentation. Based on the results of the analysis, there are five classifications in the terms of the marriage custom of Dayak Bakati Payut'n Bengkayang semantic studies, namely based on the lexicon categories of rituals, cultural objects, actors, myths, processes.Keywords: Dayak Bakati, Terminology.
