Abstract

In facing the 4.0 era which is marked by rapid technological developments and climate change, environmental sustainability has become a crucial issue that requires serious attention. This research aims to foster an environmentally caring character through understanding ecoliteracy based on local Handep wisdom, a practice of mutual cooperation in Kalimantan society. The Action Research Method with a qualitative approach was used to involve class IX students, teachers and parents at SMP Negeri 4 Palangka Raya. Ecoliteracy materials were developed by utilizing local Handep wisdom, focusing on understanding, knowledge, attitudes and behavior based on ecology. The research results show that Handep-based ecoliteracy material can increase students' awareness about caring for the environment and good resource management. Apart from that, this material can also increase students' interest in developing environmentally caring character. Applying ecoliteracy with a local wisdom approach can help students overcome environmental problems in a more effective way. The process of increasing understanding and application of knowledge through this method displays positive results in forming environmentally caring character at the secondary school level. Therefore, ecoliteracy materials based on local wisdom can be used as an effective alternative for developing environmentally caring character, good resource management, and overcoming environmental challenges in schools, making a positive contribution to increasing the environmental awareness of the younger generation in this technological era.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out how students are interested in learning about the subject of geography in class . The form of research used in this research is qualitative research with descriptive research methods. Data collection techniques in this research used observation, interviews and documentation methods. The data collection instruments used were observation sheets, documentation and interview guides. Data analysis uses the Miles and Huberman model which consists of data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions. The research results show that class XI IIS students are interested in geography subjects. Students' interest in learning can be seen through 4 indicators, namely, feelings of happiness, students' attention, students' involvement, and students' willingness to learn. So students are said to be interested in geography subjects because they meet the four indicators of learning interest.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menyelidiki peningkatan bunuh diri remaja di Indonesia pada tahun 2023, dengan penekanan khusus pada siswa dan mahasiswa. Kombinasi teori multikultural Watson dan teori bunuh diri Durkheim diterapkan secara kualitatif menggunakan metodologi tinjauan literatur. Hasilnya menunjukkan perubahan sosial, tekanan akademis, dan ketidakpastian masa depan sebagai pemicu utama. Dengan mengintegrasikan teori Durkheim dan Watson, strategi pencegahan bunuh diri yang lebih kontekstual dapat dikembangkan. Meningkatkan sistem pendidikan dan kesehatan mental, mengembangkan kurikulum inklusif, memberikan pelatihan guru dan konselor, serta melakukan pemantauan dan evaluasi rutin adalah beberapa rekomendasi. Pembentukan inisiatif pencegahan bunuh diri yang komprehensif dan berkelanjutan di Indonesia membutuhkan sintesis teori Durkheim dan Watson.

Abstract

The concept of independent learning is interpreted as independent learning which provides students with the opportunity to learn as comfortably as possible in a conducive and enjoyable but meaningful environment. Increasing learning motivation is one of the efforts that teachers can make to support independent learning. Outing class-based contextual learning strategies were chosen because when learning is always carried out in the classroom there is a tendency for students to feel bored, resulting in decreased motivation to learn. Outing classes provide children with the opportunity to learn directly and realistically, provide children with new learning experiences that are not available when studying in class, and are able to increase children's learning motivation. The aim of this outing class learning is basically to introduce children to nature and the environment around them. This research uses a descriptive qualitative research method, the data collection process is carried out using observation, documentation and interview techniques. The results of the analysis of increasing motivation show that basically motivation needs to be developed to help students analyze the relationship between the material being studied and their situation as individuals. The average response rate of respondents in this study was 88%. Outing class-based contextual learning strategies in increasing students' learning motivation need to be appreciated.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the Sociology textbook for Grade XI, Curriculum 2013 Revised Edition, published by Srikandi Empat. The analysis covers aspects such as content, content presentation, language aspects, and graphical aspects of the book. The results of this analysis meet the criteria set by Minister of Education and Culture Regulation Number 8 of 2016. However, there are still some shortcomings in the book cover, back cover, spine, title page, and language aspects. Nevertheless, in terms of content and content presentation, it complies with the regulations in force and does not affect the content of the book. This research adopts a qualitative approach with content analysis method. The analysis is conducted with reference to Minister of Education and Culture Regulation Number 8 of 2016, including the book cover, introduction, content, conclusion, and student activity content. As a recommendation, the author suggests improving the illustration images to make them more colorful and visually appealing.

Abstract

This thesis is entitledTeachers and the Effectiveness of Sociology Learning. The approach used in this research is a qualitative approach with a descriptive research type. Researchers explore the phenomena that occur in the field, then describe in the form of words and sentences. The methods used by researchers in collecting data are observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of research conducted in the field show that clinical supervision in improving teacher performance has shown good results. Although there are some drawbacks. Clinical supervision atSMA Negeri 1 Menjalin is more dependent on teacher readiness. The supervisor who supervises the teachers is the Principal of SMA Negeri 1 Menjalin. Clinical supervision at SMAN 1 Menjalin has several stages including initial preparation, initial meeting, observation. Teachers at SMA Negeri 1 Menjalin have met professional teacher standard switch have fulfilled four competencies including pedagogic competence, personal competence, professional competence and social competence. In improving these competencies, especially for the new teachers in SMAN 1 Menjalin, one way is through clinical supervision. The improvement felt by teachers who have carried out clinical supervision is increased performance and increased learning effectiveness, which can be seen from the very varied methods used, being able to manage classes well, being able to know and understand the character of each student well and being able to make participants students are active in learning.

Abstract

The research objective of this article is to explain bullying that occurs within the scope of society by using the Structural Functionalism approach introduced by Emile Durkheim. This research was conducted through a literature study method to explore an in-depth understanding of how the phenomenon of bullying affects social structures and functions in society. The results show that structural functionalism views that each element has a role and function in maintaining social stability. In this study, it is analyzed how bullying affects individuals who are victims, relationships between individuals, and social institutions in society. Bullying can disrupt the balance in the social system and have a negative impact on the victim, including stress, depression and other psychological disorders. In addition, bullying can also create tensions in social relations, both between individuals and between groups in society, thus threatening overall stability. This research also highlights the importance of social norms in maintaining social balance and addressing bullying behavior. Social institutions, such as schools and workplaces, have a role in creating a supportive environment for individuals as well as implementing anti-bullying policies. Through a Structural Functionalism perspective, this article identifies challenges in maintaining social stability and develops solutions to address the problem of bullying in society. This research provides a valuable understanding of the complexity of social interactions and the important role of social norms and social institutions in maintaining social stability in society.

Abstract

The tourism sector in Indonesia stands out as an important regional income potential, especially for developing countries like Indonesia. The importance of the tourism sector in a social context can be seen from the expansion of employment opportunities and infrastructure development that supports tourism activities. From an economic perspective, the tourism sector contributes to regional income through taxes and foreign exchange obtained from tourists. Sanggau Regency, with its abundant cultural and natural riches, is expected to become a leading tourist destination in the future. This research focuses on the Riam Ensiling tourist destination area in Sanggau Regency, which has been identified as a Tourism Strategic Area. Through this analysis, it is hoped that it will be able to strengthen the implementation of development of tourist destination areas as an integral part of the Tourism Development Area in accordance with the Master Plan for Tourism Development in Sanggau Regency. This research uses qualitative methods to achieve research objectives with SWOT analysis to develop appropriate strategies. The results obtained from this research are that the Development Strategy for the Riam Ensiling Tourist Destination Area can be carried out by 1) Improving the quality of human resources; 2) Procurement of facilities and infrastructure to support tourism activities in Riam Ensiling; 3) Improvement of the facility maintenance system at Riam Ensiling; 4) Promote tourist attractions on social media; 5) Building Brand Image in Riam Ensiling; and 6) Establishing cooperation to procure the management budget for the Riam Ensiling tourist attraction.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to investigate the correlation between work-family conflict and the performance of female workers. This work employs a quantitative-correlational research methodology. This study distributed a Likert scale questionnaire through the Google Form platform as the data collection method. A correlation coefficient of 0.736 from the Rank Spearman association hypothesis test shows that there is a strong positive relationship between the work-family conflict variable and the performance of female workers. Moreover, the p-value is below 0.05 (particularly 0.037), suggesting a statistically significant association between Variable X (work-family conflict) and Variable Y (performance conflict among female workers). The motivation behind this research stems from the findings of researchers at PT. X, which indicate that married female professionals encounter challenges in balancing their household and public responsibilities.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to explore the model for handling prostitution in Makassar City and formulate recommendations for increasing its effectiveness. The fact that prostitution is still widely practiced despite efforts to eradicate it shows that there are weaknesses in the model that has been implemented. This research focuses on the Jalan Nusantara area using a descriptive qualitative approach. The findings of this study indicate the need to reformulate the handling of prostitution into a latent model that places a higher priority on sex workers' economic empowerment, human rights, policy advocacy, education, and counseling. This action is intended to reduce prostitution and improve the welfare of sex workers in Makassar City.
