Abstract

Abstract

This study examines the model of tolerance character education in Pancasila Village, a case study at SDN I Balun, Lamongan Regency. Balun Village is known as the "Pancasila Village" because of the harmonious diversity of religions and cultures in it. The purpose of this study is to explore and analyze the implementation of tolerance character education and its impact on students. The research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method, through observation, in-depth interviews with teachers, students, and parents, as well as analysis of documents related to the curriculum and school activities. The results of the study show that SDN I Balun has successfully integrated the values of tolerance in the curriculum and daily activities. The program is carried out through interfaith learning, group discussions, and joint activities in the celebration of religious holidays. This has proven to be effective in building mutual respect among students. In addition, support from the community and cooperation between schools and local religious leaders are key factors in the success of this educational model. The tolerance character education model applied at SDN I Balun can be an example for other schools in Indonesia in promoting Pancasila values, especially tolerance from an early age. Systematic implementation and community support are important elements in shaping the character of students who are inclusive and respectful of diversity.

Abstract

Primary education in elementary schools (SD) serves as the foundation for various fields of knowledge to be further developed in subsequent phases. In Indonesia, one of the mandatory subjects in elementary schools is Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS). IPAS is an abstract subject that tends to be challenging for students to comprehend. This research aims to enhance the students' engagement through the implementation of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model in Grade IV students at SD Sumoroto 02, Ponorogo Regency. The study follows a Classroom Action Research (PTK) approach involving 16 students and is conducted during the even semester of the 2022/2023 academic year, focusing on the topic of Changes in the Form of Payment Instruments. The research employs a quantitative method, utilizing descriptive analysis of percentage data. Data collection techniques involve observing student engagement and administering questionnaires on the implementation of Project Based Learning. The research findings reveal that during the pre-cycle phase, only 18.75% of students were actively engaged in the classroom. However, after implementing the Project Based Learning model in Cycle I, the percentage of actively engaged students increased to 81.5%. In Cycle II, it further increased to 87.5%. These results indicate a significant improvement in student engagement through the implementation of the Project Based Learning model. Based on the positive student response, it can be concluded that the Project Based Learning model has been successfully implemented in IPAS instruction at the elementary school level

Abstract

This study aimed to present a literature review on the utilization of Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based media in enhancing the learning process at the elementary school level. The study used a systematic literature review method, concentrating on the theme of AI-based media in elementary education. The main sources used are writings and documents related to the use of AI-based media in learning at the elementary school level. Apart from that, this research also collects data from secondary sources such as books and academic articles that discuss the use of AI-based media in learning in general to provide a broader understanding. After data collection, data analysis was carried out to identify the use of AI-based media in learning. This analysis involved breaking down concepts and how these concepts were implemented in learning at the elementary school level. Based on the findings from the literature review, the utilization of AI-based media in elementary education has the potential to deliver a learning experience tailored to students’ needs. Moreover, AI-based media supports the implementation of game-based learning, fostering a more challenging and dynamic educational environment that actively engages students. Additionally, the use of AI-based media contributes to the development of students’ competencies. The competencies that can be enhanced include critical thinking, communication, and creativity. Therefore, implementing AI-based media in elementary school education should take into account the needs of students, which can lead to significant improvements in their competencies.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of dance in increasing tolerance attitudes in MI/SD students. The object of the study involved 60 students from two schools, namely MI Ma'arif Sabilul Muttaqin and MI Kanzul Huda Ponorogo. The methods used were observation, interviews and surveys before and after involvement in dance activities. The results showed that involvement in dance, such as introduction to traditional and contemporary dance, group collaboration, and multicultural performances, was effective in increasing students' tolerance attitudes. They became more open to cultural differences, increased cooperation, empathy, and the ability to resolve conflicts. The challenges that emerged included differences in students' understanding of diversity and the limited time of the curriculum. In conclusion, dance has proven to be an effective learning medium in instilling tolerance values in students.

Abstract

This evaluation study aims to evaluate the extracurricular program of reading the Qur'an at MIN Bone through a qualitative approach where the data is sourced from the results of interviews, documentation, and observations, which are then analyzed by reducing, presenting, and verifying the data, then drawing it into a final conclusion. The results show that the context aspect is stated to have met the needs of MIN 1 Bone students and received adequate resource support, so this program is said to have run well. Various criteria set in the input aspect have also been met, such as the availability of facilities and infrastructure, the competence of program supervisors, and the number of students participating in the program to be considered running well. However, the process aspect is considered quite good because there are still obstacles, especially student discipline. Meanwhile, several main objectives of the program cannot be realized optimally in the product aspect where the total number of students who have successfully memorized the Qur'an is still low compared to the number of program participants so this aspect is considered less good. Therefore, improvements are needed to implement the program to achieve the desired goals.
