Abstract

This research aims to describe the personality aspects of the character Binta in the novel Kata by Rintik Sedu which includes Id, Ego, Superego. The formulation of the problem in this research is what aspects of the character Binta's personality in the novel Kata by Rintik Sedu include Id, Ego, Superego. This research uses qualitative methods and descriptive research. The data source for this research is the novel Kata by Rintik Sedu. The data in this research is in the form of the behavior or actions of the character Binta as depicted in dialogue or narration in the novel Kata by Rintik Sedu. The results of the research show that in the novel Kata by Rintik Sedu there is a personality structure of the character Binta which is viewed from the psychoanalytic aspect of Sigmund Freud. These personality aspects can be classified into three, namely: id, ego, and superego. The novel Kata by Rintik Sedu can be used as a breakthrough as an alternative teaching material which aims to improve students' ability to appreciate in analyzing the psychology of story characters from a literary work.

Abstract

This research aims to find and describe the problem of the value of religious education as reflected in the novel Cahaya Bening dari Jambi by Dr. OK, Pratama. It is hoped that the results of this research can contribute to the development of literature in general and the sociology of literature in particular. This research method uses qualitative methods and the data source for this research is the novel Cahaya Bening from Jambi. Data collection techniques use library study techniques or documents in the form of novels. Meanwhile, data analysis techniques use descriptive analysis techniques and content analysis. The results of this research are the novel Cahaya Bening from Jambi by Dr. Oky Pratama, this novel contains a lot of religious values ​​related to humans as religious creatures.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the function and. The meaning of guritan oral literature in the Besemah tribe community in Muaradua Kisam. South Oku is reviewed and studied by literary anthropology, especially aspects of religious language and customs. This research uses the method, descriptive qualitative analysis. Data collection techniques in this research user observation techniques, interview techniques, SLC (Simak Libat Cakap) listening techniques, recording techniques and not-taking techniques. Data sources in this research include aspects and primary data, namely data in the form of videos of oral literature from the people of Besemah Muaradua Kisam Oku South in traditional events. Apart from that, other sources of data are secondary data, namely data sourced from books and journals relate to the problems in the research. Based on research conducted, there are 47 poems which are included in language aspect, 27 poems which are included in the religious aspect, and 13 poems which are included in the customs aspect. Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of the relay writing method assisted by audio-visual media on procedural text writing skills in class VII students at Palembang Public Junior School 35.. This type of research is quantitative research that uses simple linear regression testing and multiple linear regression testing to answer the hypothesis in the research. The subjects in this research were class VII.3 as an experimental class with a total of 31 students and class VII.4 as a control class with a total of 33 students. Data collection techniques in this research used documentation and test techniques. Based on the results of testing the first hypothesis, it was found that there was an influence of the application of the relay writing method on the ability to write procedural texts which received a significant value of 0.000. The results of testing the second hypothesis show that there is an influence of the use of audio-visual media on the ability to write procedural texts which gets a significant value of 0.000. The results of testing the third hypothesis prove that there is an influence of applying the relay writing method with the help of the use of audio-visual media on procedural text writing skills which obtained a significant value of 0.000. Abstract

This literature review study is based on empirical phenomena that show that the phenomenon of language impoliteness across cultures is increasingly worrying. The implications of the phenomenon of language impoliteness often trigger various social problems among cross-cultural communities. Various forms of language impoliteness are often found, including violating the maxims of politeness and engaging in verbal violence, which, of course, can cause fatal problems. This literature review research aims to describe how much previous research in the last three years discussing language impoliteness was searched through electronic databases, namely Google Scholar, Taylor & Francis Online, and ScienceDirect. Meanwhile, the second research aims to find out how much the issue of language impoliteness is of concern to researchers from various circles so that a conclusion can be reached about the urgency of this research topic. This research method is to search various articles published between 2021 and 2023. The search results found 44 articles on the topic of impoliteness, but in the discussion, we will discuss eight articles that are considered the most representative of the 44 articles. These eight articles can represent all the issues that are the topic of discussion of language impoliteness in cross-cultural societies. Thus, it can be concluded that the topic of language impoliteness is still an important issue that requires further study to find various solutions to this problem

Abstract

Existential female characters are the existence of female characters in literary texts. The existence of existentialism in psychology encourages human self-awareness of their existence. In researching the novel The Girl Who Writes Letters Every Night, the aim is to describe the structure of the characters' experiences. The theory used is Rollo May's existentialist psychological theory. Existential psychology is an attempt to understand humans who experience and who are the targets of experience. Descriptive qualitative methods were used in this research with data analysis techniques in the form of listening, reading, taking notes. Then, content analysis uses the content of the quoted text data. The findings include the structure of the characters' experiences regarding: (i) death; (ii) emptiness (loneliness and isolation); (iii) anxiety; (iv) feelings of guilt; (v) togetherness; (vi) spatiality, (vii) temporalis; and (viii) body

Abstract

Culture is all the results of human work, feelings and creations, namely the entire complex way of life, including knowledge, belief, art, morals, customary law and all other abilities and habits acquired by humans as members of society. One of the cultural relics is the Kusmala inscription at the Airlangga Kediri Museum. Philology can be interpreted as love of words or it can also be a love of speaking, speaking with arguments. That is the reason why philologists always play around and like words and texts. This research is qualitative research. This research aims to examine the cultural values of the Kusmala inscription. Data collection was carried out using test and interview methods. This research aims to analyze the contents of the Kusmala inscription, as for the informant named Novi BMW. Research data analysis is descriptive. The results of this research discuss cultural values, as well as the meaning contained in the Kusmala inscription

Abstract

Literary texts are artistic products that write down the activities, behavior and social attitudes of society. Because of this, literature is seen as a photocopy of the reality of life. The aim of this research is to describe human relations in the literary novel Hari Mulai Terang by Arafat Nur. Human relations are human relations with social life including nature, God and oneself. Descriptive qualitative methods were used in this research with listening, reading and note-taking techniques. The analysis uses data content analysis which shows human relations. The results of the findings and analysis include: (a) human relations with themselves; (b) human relations with fellow humans; (c) human relations with nature; and (iv) human relationship with God. These findings encourage the existence of a social circle of figures who live in the local environment.

Abstract

Literature teaching has a very important role in providing knowledge about life and fostering emotional sensitivity in students. Therefore, to create literature teaching that is in line with its objectives, Indonesian language teachers are needed who have adequate competence in appreciating literary works. This can be done through the presentation of literary learning in lecture rooms. However, in reality there are problems faced by students in appreciating poetry. For this reason, further efforts are needed to overcome this problem by applying demonstration methods. This research focuses on efforts to increase students' ability to appreciate poetry through demonstration methods. The research method used in this research is a descriptive qualitative method with an experimental approach. The subjects of this research were 24 class A students of the Indonesian Language Education study program class A. The result of the research carried out is the implementation of the demonstration method as an effort to increase student competence in appreciating poetry that works well, as well as achieving learning objectives. Because there was an increase in the average score obtained by students from 2.75 to 4.26 which is included in the good category.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe (1) the form of environmental role in human life, (2) the form of human attitude to the environment, (3) the form of local wisdom in its relation with environment in novel Medulla Sinculasis and Tambora 1815 by Paox Iben Mudhaffar. This research was qualitative descriptive. The source of data  was the novels Medulla Sinculasis and Tambora 1915 by Paox Iben Mudhaffar. The collection of the data used document content analysis (read-note-analysis). Analysis of the data in this study is a qualitative descriptive analysis technique is done by categorizing, describing, and conclusion.  In this research, the researchers chose the novels Medulla Sinculasis and Tambora 1815 as data sources considering that these novels were the most appropriate to study among Paox Iben's other works. The Tambora 1815 novel used is the first printed novel, March 2015 published by Bukudaku Addressra Publishing, Mataram with a book thickness of 301 pages, ISBN: 978-979-18863-1-4 and the Medulla Sinculasis novel used is the first printed novel, January 2011 published by IruS (Rumah Arus Institute) Mataram, Lombok with a book thickness of 324 pages, ISBN: 979-1698-045-94-7. The results of this research are as follows. First, the role of environment represented in the novels Medulla Sinculasis and Tambora 1815  consists of : (a) the environment as the source of food, (b) the environment as the source of medicines, (c) the environment as the source of building material, (d) the environment as living place, (e) the environment as the provider of payment tool (barter), (f) the environment as a means of livelihood, (g) the environment as the source of water, (h) the  environment as the provider of things for means of transportation, and (i) the environment as tourist object.
