Abstract

General Background: Enhancing literacy and motivation in elementary education is a persistent priority in improving student learning outcomes. Specific Background: Problem-Based Learning (PBL), especially when integrated with multimedia resources like learning videos, has shown potential in fostering active engagement and comprehension. Knowledge Gap: However, empirical evidence remains limited regarding the simultaneous effects of PBL models aided by video on both reading comprehension and motivation among elementary students. Aims: This study investigates the effect of the PBL learning model assisted by learning videos on the reading comprehension skills and learning motivation of fourth-grade students in Cluster II, Mariso District. Results: Using a quasi-experimental nonequivalent multiple-group design with 56 students, results showed an improvement in reading comprehension from a pretest mean of 62.14 to a posttest mean of 78.21, and in learning motivation from 80.96 to 88.29. MANOVA analysis revealed a significant simultaneous effect (sig = 0.00 < 0.05). Novelty: This research demonstrates the dual effectiveness of video-assisted PBL not just on cognitive outcomes but also on affective dimensions. Implications: Findings highlight the potential of integrated multimedia-PBL strategies in enhancing educational quality in elementary schools. Abstract

General Background: Micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) are vital to Indonesia's economy, particularly in the culinary sector. Specific Background: Despite their growth, many culinary MSMEs struggle with poor financial reporting due to limited financial skills and low digital adoption. Knowledge Gap: Prior studies show mixed results on the influence of financial literacy, financial technology (fintech), and financial management on financial reporting quality, and few focus on culinary MSMEs in Sukabumi. Aims: This study analyzes the impact of financial literacy, fintech, and financial management on the quality of financial reports among culinary MSMEs in Sukabumi City. Results: Using quantitative associative methods with 180 MSMEs, the findings show that financial literacy negatively affects report quality, fintech has no significant effect, while financial management has a strong positive and dominant influence. The regression model explains 48.1% of the variance. Novelty: Unlike existing studies, this research identifies financial management as a stronger determinant than literacy or fintech, and highlights the counterintuitive negative role of financial literacy. Implications: The results emphasize the need for targeted training in financial practices and effective use of digital tools, supporting policy and program development for MSME financial capacity building in local contexts.Highlight : Financial management is the most dominant factor improving report quality. Financial literacy negatively affects the quality of financial reports. Fintech usage is still limited among culinary MSMEs. Abstract

Vocational education plays a crucial role in preparing students to meet the demands of the industrial world. At SMK Muhammadiyah Ngawen, the implementation of the Field Work Practice (PKL) program is evaluated using the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) model to assess its effectiveness comprehensively. Despite the importance of PKL, few studies have thoroughly evaluated its alignment with industrial needs using a structured evaluation model. This study aims to analyze the implementation of PKL evaluation at SMK Muhammadiyah Ngawen through qualitative methods, including observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that the PKL evaluation is conducted effectively, supported by solid collaboration between schools and industrial partners, and has enhanced students' practical skills and job readiness. The novelty of this study lies in its structured use of the CIPP model in a vocational setting to identify gaps between school training and industry expectations. The implications suggest the need for broader industry partnerships and curriculum adjustments to strengthen the relevance of PKL programs in vocational education. Highlights: Highlights effective PKL evaluation using the CIPP model. Reveals strong school-industry collaboration in vocational training. Recommends curriculum alignment with industry needs. Abstract

Religious moderation is a critical value in maintaining social harmony within Indonesia’s pluralistic society. In educational contexts, particularly in junior high schools, Islamic Religious Education (PAI) plays a strategic role in instilling values such as tolerance, anti-radicalism, and respect for diversity. However, limited empirical studies have investigated how these values are concretely embedded in formal education, especially in non-pesantren, public schools in rural settings. This study aims to explore the strategies employed by PAI teachers at SMP Negeri 2 Ngadirojo in fostering religious moderation, the dominant values emphasized, and the supporting and inhibiting factors. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation. The results show that the values of moderation are taught through curriculum integration, exemplary teacher behavior, daily habituation, and inclusive religious practices. Despite these efforts, challenges arise from limited teacher training and external influences such as intolerant social media content. The novelty of this study lies in its focus on a rural public school context, highlighting local cultural dynamics as a key enabler of contextualized religious moderation. The findings imply that PAI learning, when supported by reflective pedagogy and cultural sensitivity, can serve as a powerful medium for building a tolerant and cohesive young generation.Highlight : Religious moderation is taught through Islamic Education (PAI) by integrating values of tolerance, justice, and anti-radicalism. Teacher role modeling and inclusive school culture strengthen students' moderate religious attitudes. Challenges include limited curriculum integration, lack of teacher training, and external radical influences.
