Abstract

Allowance for Impairment Losses (CKPN) is a predetermined amount that banks set aside in order to prepare for the possibility of failure. According to PSAK 71, the method of computation for CKPN has switched from the incurred loss model to the predicted credit loss approach. This change represents a significant change. It is the existence of certain rules regarding the calculation of CKPN that has an effect on the market value of the company. The purpose of this research is to investigate the impact that Allowance for Impairment Losses has on the value of a company. The Bank Group Based on Core Capital (KBMI) and Profitability, the latter of which is defined via Net Interest Margin, are the control variables that are used in this research. For the purpose of this research, 74 conventional banking businesses that were continually listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange over the period of 2022-2023 are the subjects of investigation. A basic random sampling method was used to collect the sample, which consisted of a total of 37 separate businesses that were included in the investigation. In all, the observation period lasted for a period of two different years. The hypothesis was put to the test via the use of panel data regression analysis in this research. The results of the study indicate that the allowance for impairment losses contributes considerably to the enhancement of firm value. There is a positive correlation between the values of the business and the quantity of CKPN that is allocated by the corporation. It is quite probable that the value of the company will improve in conjunction with an increase in CKPN. This is because substantial provisions for impairment losses have been set in order to meet any future impairments. It is possible that this will contribute to an increase in investor trust in the firm, indicating that it has positive growth prospects.

Abstract

An important aspect in the management of chronic kidney disease is the establishment of adequate vascular access for hemodialysis. Arteriovenous fistula (AV-shunt) is the main and most ideal option for vascular access in the hemodialysis process. This study collected research on the assessment of the effectiveness of hand training programs on arteriovenous shunt (AV-Shunt) maturation in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD). Searches were conducted on ScienceDirect and Google Scholar. Only experimental studies examining the effects of hand exercises after surgery were reviewed. Data that has been filtered and reviewed by researchers. This study aims to summarize the effects of various hand training programs in the process of AV-Shunt/AVF maturation in CKD patients through a literature review. This study uses the literature review method by analyzing articles from trusted electronic databases such as ScienceDirect and Google Scholar with the keywords maturation AV-Shunt, hand exercises and CKD. The selected articles met the inclusion criteria, namely focusing on hand training interventions analyzed with the PICOT approach. The results of the study show that regular exercise can increase blood diameter and flow, resulting in the patentability of vascular access for the hemodialysis process, which ultimately improves the quality of life. A structured exercise program is an effective intervention in the maturation process of AV-Shunt in CKD patients.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of unemployment rate and workforce structure on economic growth in West Java during the period 2019-2024. The method used is path analysis with secondary data obtained from various official sources. The results of the analysis show that the relationship between unemployment rate (X1) and workforce structure (X2) on economic growth (Y) tends to be weak, with an R-squared value of 2.8%, indicating that the model is only able to explain 2.8% of the variation in economic growth. This study concludes that unemployment rate and workforce structure do not have a significant effect on economic growth in West Java during the study period. Other factors not included in the model are likely to contribute more to economic growth. This finding underscores the importance of considering additional variables and improving research methods in regional economic analysis.

Abstract

Implementing policies related to regional government affairs significantly impacts the administration and reporting processes within local governance structures. This study investigates the influence of such policies on the Regional Government Administration Report (LPPD) at the Governance Section of the Regional Secretariat of Indramayu District. By employing a mixed-methods approach, combining both quantitative and qualitative data collection techniques, the research aims to understand how policy implementation affects the effectiveness and accuracy of the LPPD. A comprehensive literature review was conducted to establish a theoretical framework, drawing on critical concepts in policy implementation and regional governance. The study's population includes officials and administrators within the Governance Section, with data collected through surveys and interviews. The findings reveal that effective policy implementation positively correlates with the quality of the LPPD, highlighting key factors such as resource allocation, training, and stakeholder engagement. However, challenges such as bureaucratic inertia and limited technical capacity were also identified as barriers to optimal implementation. The study concludes by providing practical recommendations for enhancing policy implementation processes and improving the LAPD's role in regional governance. Future research directions are suggested to explore further the dynamics between policy implementation and administrative reporting in other regional contexts.

Abstract

Employee performance factors such as work-life balance, job satisfaction, and job embeddedness have an impact on turnover intention. This research aims to see whether the phenomena of PT Telkom's achievements are directly proportional to turnover intention or vice versa. Using quantitative methods by collecting data through questionnaires, the research results show that work-life balance, job satisfaction, and job embeddedness influence turnover intention partially or simultaneously. This study has limitations in the scope of the sample which is limited to PT Telkom employees and does not cover other external variables that can affect turnover intention. For further research, it is recommended that the scope of the sample be expanded by creating clusters for top, middle, and lower management.

Abstract

Stress can seriously affect the mental health and academic performance of students, especially when they have to face various pressures at school. Effective stress management and strong social support from their environment may help students reduce the negative effects of stress and improve their well-being. This study aims to explore the sources and impacts of stress, the coping strategies of high school students and their implications for education. The research employs a qualitative approach that emphasises the collection of descriptive and narrative data and efforts to understand the context and meaning behind the collected data. In terms of data collection, the researchers gathered important information using various techniques, such as participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. The subjects of this study consisted of four students: two students from Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) Grade VIII (one female and one male) and two students from Madrasah Aliyah (MA) Grade X (one female and one male), located in Bandung City, Indonesia. The study found that stress was a common experience among students, influenced by personal, school, and family contexts, making it essential to design appropriate support strategies. Interview results indicated that while students coped with stress in different ways, there was an urgent need to create a sensitive educational environment and improve access to professional support to help them achieve well-being. Therefore, it is crucial for schools to provide resources and create a positive learning environment to support students' mental health and academic performance.

Abstract

This article discusses the concept and application of ijtihad jama'i in the context of contemporary Islamic law. The dynamics and complexities of contemporary Islamic law require a new paradigm to obtain a comprehensive understanding of an issue. In complex issues, individual ijtihad with a mono-disciplinary approach is no longer able to provide a comprehensive picture. This article uses a qualitative approach, utilizing relevant literature as a source. Ijtihad jama'i, which is a collective effort to formulate solutions relevant to the dynamics of modern society, is examined. Meanwhile, multidisciplinarity, interdisciplinarity, and transdisciplinarity represent new approaches in formulating Islamic law today. These approaches allow for collaboration and integration across various disciplines. In practice, the success of ijtihad jama'i in meeting the demands of modern society requires collaboration between scholars, legal practitioners, and experts from various disciplines. With this new paradigm, Islamic law on any given issue can be formulated more comprehensively. Thus, this article provides in-depth insight into how ijtihad jama'i, with multidisciplinarity, interdisciplinarity, and transdisciplinarity approaches, can become a new paradigm in addressing the challenges of Islamic law in the contemporary era.

Abstract

Conflict is considered an inevitable aspect and occurrence in human social relationships across all organizations. Conflict is a situation where differences in opinions, goals, or interests arise between two or more parties, potentially leading to tension, disputes, or disagreements. Conflicts can occur in various contexts, such as within families, organizations, societies, or even at the international level, and require proper resolution to prevent escalation into larger problems. Conflict can be understood as a disagreement arising between what someone expects from themselves, others, organizations, and what they experience in reality. If left unresolved, conflict can negatively impact a company or organization. However, conflict can also have positive impacts, such as increasing motivation, reducing stress, alerting leaders to unresolved issues, and encouraging both parties to engage in self-reflection. Addressing conflict effectively can ensure similar events do not recur and foster mutual respect among conflicting parties, leading to improved collaboration and productivity. This analysis focuses on describing mediation in traditional medicine conflicts in Indonesia using bibliometric literature analysis from 1973 to 2023 and examining scientific trends. The researchers used Scopus as a search engine, utilizing the keywords: Conflict OR Conflict Factors AND Traditional Medicine. Articles were selected from journals written in English and Indonesian. A total of 980 documents were retrieved for the period of 1979-2023. Vosviewer analysis revealed that research related to conflict and mediation in the pharmaceutical field is still lacking, highlighting the importance of conducting studies on mediation in conflict management within the traditional medicine sector. Although the number of publications has steadily increased, it remains below 40 per year. Interventions in topics such as experimental studies or compliance remain limited. Several countries experiencing increased conflicts have shown significant growth in the number of publications and collaborative studies over the past decade. The modest number of studies indicates that researchers still have numerous opportunities to develop better and more productive techniques to reduce and manage conflicts effectively.
