Abstract

Introduction: Several studies have shown that most of the obstacles for mothers when doing lactation management are due to the lack of knowledge about breastfeeding, especially exclusive breastfeeding, which can affect the attitudes and actions/implementation of mothers towards lactation management behavior. One study showed by Ibrahim, et al. (2014) showed that respondents had poor knowledge, attitudes and practices of lactation management (77.2%). The study aimed to describe the lactation management behavior among breastfeeding mothers 0-6 months in Sudiang Raya Health Care Center City of Makassar. Methods: This research was descriptive with 89 sample size mothers 0-6 months chosen by simple random sampling using questionnaire (google form). Data analysis was performed univariate using the SPSS program in frequency distribution from each variable. Result: The results showed that out of 89 respondents, 58 respondents (65.2%) had a good knowledge of lactation management, 28 respondents (31.5%) were in the sufficient category and 3 respondents (3.4%) were in the poor category. And then, from 89 respondents, all respondents had a positive attitude in terms of lactation management (100%). For the practices/actions out of 89 respondents, 58 respondents (65.2%) had good lactation management practices, 30 respondents (33.7%) were in the sufficient category and 1 respondent (1.1%) was in the poor category. Conclusions: The knowledge, attitudes and practices of lactation management among breastfeeding mothers in the work area of the Sudiang Raya Health Care Center City of Makassar in 2020 are mostly in the good category (>60%) Recommendation: Increase knowledge by adding some information about how to do lactation management in a proper way, especially in terms of techniques and breastfeeding positions, which is in practice we found there are still many mothers whose poor category in that part. Abstract

Pendahuluan: di Indonesia masalah gizi menjadi salah satu masalah utama. Gizi kurang ataupun gizi lebih merupakan masalah kesehatan yang sering dijumpai di usia remaja. Perubahan massa otot, jaringan lemak dan perubahan hormon merupakan masa peralihan remaja yang mempengaruhi kebutuhan gizi remaja. Di pondok pesantren sebagian besar berusia remaja, banyak nya santri menyebabkan konsumsi santri kurang diperhatikan. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adanya hubungan asupan energi dan asupan zat gizi makro dengan status gizi remaja di Pondok Pesantren Darul Aman Gombara Makassar. Metode: Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah cross sectional. Sampel penelitian ini sebanyak 96 orang dengan menggunakan tekhnik total sampling. Pengambilan data asupan makanan menggunakan metode recall 24 jam. Penentuan status gizi diperoleh dari parameter IMT/U. Data dianalisis menggunakan Uji chi-squaredan uji Fisher di SPSS dan disajikan dalam bentuk tabel dan narasi. Hasil: Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan untuk asupan energi 72,9% kurang dan 27,1% yang cukup. Asupan zat gizi makro, untuk karbohidrat 85,4% kurang dan 14,6% cukup, protein 62,5% kurang dan 37,5% cukup, lemak 46,9% kurang dan 53,2% cukup. Hubungan asupan energi dengan status gizi tidak ada hubungan (P=0,545), asupan karbohidrat dengan status gizi tidak ada hubungan (P=0,698), asupan protein dengan status gizi tidak ada hubungan (P=0,369) dan asupan lemak dengan status gizi tidak ada hubungan (P=0,583). Untuk status gizi responden tergolong gizi kurang 4,2%, gizi baik 83,3%, gizi lebih 9,4% dan obesitas 3,1%. Kesimpulan: Asupan energi dan asupan zat gizi makro responden masih kurang dari kebutuhan AKG yang telah dianjurkan. Berdasarkan z-score IMT/U status gizi santri cenderung Normal yaitu 83,3%. Tidak adanya hubungan signifikan antara status gizi dengan asupan energi dan asupan zat gizi makro.

Abstract

Background: Nutrition literacy indicate the competence to earn, gather, understand, interpret and practice nutrition information to make proper health decision. Objective: To assess validation and reliability of modified-Newest Vital Signs (NVS) instrument. Method: Data collection divided into two phases: (1) Qualitative, where we conducted cognitive interview to 10 first year college students at Pattimura University using HLS-EU-Q16 for health literacy measurement, subsequently with NVS questionnaire which has 6 questions for nutrition literacy measurement that had been translated into Bahasa on previous research. Thereafter, (2) a quantitative survey (n=362) was performed for confirming the NVS against functional domain of HLS-EU-Q16. Result: Mean score for participants done the survey was 2,35 (SD 0,01). Spearman-P coefficient correlation between HLS-Q16 functional domain met the instrument validation standard (r=0,11, p-value=<0,001). Cronbach alpha was 0,590 indicating weak internal consistency. Conclusion: The Newest Vital Sign has validity to measure functional level of nutritional literacy of first year college students of Pattimura University.

Abstract

Introduction: Teenage girls belong to the nutritional vulnerable group. Nutritional intake in adolescent age is crucial to support their physical growth. Nutritional problems that occur in adolescents are generally caused by a factor that is a less precise diet related to fluid intake that affects the state of nutritional status, especially in teenagers who attend school like in islamic boarding school. Purpose: This study aims to know the description of fluid intake based on adolescent nutritional status in Darul Aman Gombara islamic boarding school. Materials and methods: the type of this study is survey design. Sample This study of 96 teenagers using total sampling. Retrieval of intake data using 24 hours recall method for 3 days IE day on school day and public holiday. Determination of nutritional status obtained from parameters Z-Score IMT/U. Processing and analysis of data on this research using SPSS. Result : The results of the analysis are known that the intake of adolescent drinks with skinny nutritional status as much as 100% are in the category of less fluid intake. For normal nutritional status 87,5% of teenagers are in the category of intake of less drinks and other 12,5% insufficient. And fat nutritional status 91,7% of respondents were in the category of less fluid intake and another 8,3% was sufficient. While the nutritional status of respondents is normal as much as 83.3%, fat nutrition status as much as 12.5%, and lean nutritional status as much as 4.2%. Conclusion: The Most intake of adolescent fluid are lacking in the status of Fat nutrition, and the nutritional status of respondents is a nutritional status of good/normal.

Abstract

Introduction: Disasters experienced by citizen in Palu forced the community moved to refuge camp. The movement makes the community live in a place with limited clothe food, shelter, and clean water. physical fitness in adolescents is low and forgotten. Based on conditions, the problem found is the relationship of Water Intake, Hydration Status and Adolescent fitness in the Petobo refugee camp. Purposes: To find out the relationship between water intake, hydration status, and the level of adolescent fitness in the Petobo refugee camp. Material and Methods: Research using analytic observational methods using cross sectional design. The sample are 59 youth in Petobo refugee, using the Total Sampling Method. Fitness status is taken through Balke Test, Water Intake is collected based on Recall Results, and Hydration status data is analyzed using the urine color analysis method. Results: The results found that adolescents in refugee petobo with less than 47% Fitness Status, while less by 41% and enough by 12%, Adolescent Water Intake with a category of less than 69%, quite 17%, and more by 14%. Hydration status of adolescents with severe dehydration category 39%, dehydration 27%, and well hydrated 34%. In this study, the results obtained based on the Chi-square test that there is a relationship between water intake and fitness level with p value 0.001 <0.05, and there is a relationship between Hydration Status and fitness level with p value 0.025 <0.05. Conclusion: There is a relationship between water intake, hydration status and the level of adolescent fitness in Petobo refugee camps.

Abstract

Introduction: Adolescents need higher nutrition because of significant physical growth and body development, so adolescents need adequate food not only in terms of quantity but also in terms of quality. Adolescents tend to do the wrong eating behavior, that is the nutrients consumed do not suit their needs. Purpose: This study aims to determine the level of consumption and nutritional status of boarding school students at SMAN 5 Gowa. Material and Method: This type of research is observational with a descriptive research design. The sample of this study were 139 people using the Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling technique. Retrieval of consumption level data using 24-hour recall method. The determination of nutritional status is obtained from BMI / U parameters. Data processing and analysis in this research is univariate. Results: The results of the analysis revealed that the level of consumption for the respondents' macronutrient intake was still lacking namely less energy intake of 90.6%, less carbohydrates by 93.5%, less fat by 88.5% and less protein by 73.4%. The micronutrient intake of respondents was also lacking, namely vitamin A intake by 66.2%, vitamin B1 lacking by 94.2%, vitamin B12 by 88.5%, folate less by 99.3%, calcium less by 97.8%, iron less by 92.8% and zinc less by 92.8%. Whereas the nutritional status of respondents was classified as normal at 64.7%, very thin at 2.2% and obesity at 4.3%. Conclusion: The level of consumption of respondents for macro and micronutrient intake is still less than the recommended RDA needs and the respondent's nutritional status is normal.

Abstract

Pendahuluan: Diabetes Melitus merupakan penyakit gangguan metabolisme kronis yangditandai peningkatan glukosa darah. Faktor diabetes melitus diantaranya adalahketurunan/genetik, obesitas, perubahan gaya hidup, kurangnya aktivitas fisik, dan stress. Stresmenyebabkan produksi berlebih pada kortisol. Kortisol adalah suatu hormon yang melawanefek insulin dan menyebabkan kadar gula darah tinggi.Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untukmengetahui hubungan tingkat stres dengan kadar gula darah pada polisi yang mengalami gizilebih di polresta Sidenreng Rappang. Bahan dan Metode: Jenis penelitian yang digunakanadalah observasional analitik dan desain cross sectional. Untuk mendapatkan sampel gizilebih dilakukan skrinning BB dan TB. Skrinning awal berdasarkan IMT dan didapatkanpopulasi 100 orang dan sampel 50 orang. Data kadar gula darah dilakukan dengan caramengambil darah dari ujung jari menggunakan strip gula darah dan membaca hasilmenggunakan gluko meter digital (Accu-Check). Hasil: Dari sampel 50 orang polisididapatkan hasil bahwa jenis kelamin laki-laki lebih banyak mengalami gula darah tinggidengan usia dewasa tua (40-55 tahun). Orang yang mengalami hiperglikemia rata-rata kadargula darah normal sebesar 95,84 mg/dL dengan standar deviasi 11,857 mg/dL, sedangkanrata-rata kadar gula darah tinggi sebesar 151,06 mg/dL dengan standar deviasi 47,433 mg/dL.Kesimpulan: Semakin tinggi tingkat stres pada seseorang maka semakin tinggi kadar guladarah sehingga memiliki hubungan antara tingkat stres dengan kadar gula darah pada polisiyang mengalami gizi lebih. Perlu untuk diadakan tes pemeriksaan gula darah rutin minimal 1tahun sekali dan lebih mengontrol berat badan, perilaku makan, rajin berolahraga danmenghindari stres.

Abstract

Pendahuluan: Baduta yang stunting merupakan hasil dari masalah gizi kronik sebagai akibat dari asupan makanan yang kurang, ditambah dengan penyakit infeksi, dan masalahlingkungan. Baduta stunting dalam jangka pendek dapat mengalami perkembangan yangterhambat, penurunan fungsi kognitif, penurunan fungsi kekebalan tubuh hingga gangguansistem pembakaran dan pada jangka panjang yaitu pada masa dewasa dapat menimbulkanrisiko penyakit degeneratif. Tujuan : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubunganantara sanitasi lingkungan dan riwayat penyakit infeksi dengan kejadian stunting pada anakbaduta. Bahan dan Metode : Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian desain cross sectional.Sampel yang diambil adalah semua bayi 6-23 bulan yang berada di wilayah kerja PuskesmasPatimpeng Kab. Bone yang berjumlah 125 orang dengan teknik pengambilan sampelpurposive sampling. Analisis data dilakukan dengan analisis univariat dan bivariat. Hasil :Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat 25,6% anak yang menderita stunting. Berdasarkanhasil uji statistik menggunakan chi square dan fisher’s, pada variabel sanitasi lingkunganmenunjukkan tidak terdapat hubungan antara sarana air bersih, sarana pembuangan tinja,tempat pembuangan sampah dan saluran pembuangan air limbah dengan kejadian stuntingpada anak usia 6-23 bulan dengan masing-masing nilai p (0,270), (0,161), (1,000) dan(0,148). Sedangkan pada variabel riwayat penyakit infeksi juga menunjukkan tidak terdapathubungan antara riwayat diare dan riwayat infeksi saluran pernapasan (ISPA) dengankejadian stunting pada anak usia 6-23 bulan dengan masing-masing nilai p (0,679) dan(0,839).

Abstract

Pendahuluan: Minyak sawit merah (MSM) diperoleh dari pemurnian crude palm oil (CPO). MSM memiliki warna oranye-merah tua, dan diekstrak dari mesocarp buah pohonkelapa sawit (Elaeis guineensis). MSM telah menarik perhatian dan mulai digunakan untukbeberapa aplikasi pangan.Tujuan: Untuk mengetahui karakteristk fikokimia dan fungsional kualitas minyak sawit merah.Bahan dan Metode: MSM dianalisis kadar air, nilai peroksida,asam lemak bebas (FFA), warna untuk mengetahui sifat fisikokimia, sedangkan profil asamlemak dan kadar β-karoten untuk mengetahui sifat fungsional minyak. Kadar air ditentukandengan menggunakan oven-dry. Bilangan peroksida dan FFA ditentukan dengan metodetitrasi, warna ditentukan dengan skala warna CIE L * a * b *, profil asam lemak dilakukandengan metode kromatografi gas, dan β-karoten dilakukan dengan metode spektrofotometri.Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa MSM memiliki warna merah, kadar air 2,23%,nilai peroksida 4,55 mEq/kg, asam lemak bebas 0,06%, sedangkan profil asam lemakdidominasi oleh asam oleat 36,39%, asam palmitat 34,05%, asam linoleat 9,13%, asamlinoleat 0,26%, dan kandungan β-karoten 214,13 mg/kg. Hasil di atas memainkan perankunci dalam sifat fisikokimia dan kandungan fungsional untuk MSM. Oleh karena itu, hasilini merupakan basis pengetahuan yang berguna untuk penelitian lebih lanjut.Kesimpulan:bervariasi yang cenderung mencerminkan kestabilan dan kualitas minyak sawit. Karakteristikfisikokimia, profil asam lemak, dan kandungan β-karoten MSM juga perlu dimaksimalkanuntuk meningkatkan kualitasnya pada aplikasi produk pangan selanjutnya

Abstract

Pendahuluan: Saat ini masyarakat Indonesia berada dalam situasi kondisi perekonomian yangkurang mendukung, khususnya di bidang kesehatan, Krisis ekonomi dan obat-obatan kimiaternyata beberapa diantaranya berdampak negatif pada umur panjang, kini masyarakat mulaiberalih kembali ke tumbuhan obat alami. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untukmengidentifikasi komponen kimiawi ekstrak metanol daun ceguk menggunakan kromatografipreparatif lamella. Bahan dan Metode: Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif berbasislaboratorium. Daun ceguk diekstraksi secara maserasi dengan menggunakan pengencer metanolsetelah bangsal diulangi dengan n-heksan. Identifikasi komponen kimia kromatografi lamellapada ekstrak metanol menggunakan pengenceran n-heksan: Etil asetat (9: 1), (8: 2) dan (7: 3),ditemukan 5 titik bercak yang terpisah.. Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa padaekstrak n-heksan ini menggunakan pengenceran n-heksan: Etil asetat (9: 1), (8: 2) dan (7: 3)menghasilkan 4, 2 dan 1 bercak bercak yang terpisah. Ekstrak n-heksan dipisahkan komponenkimianya dengan menggunakan kromatografi preparatif lamella menghasilkan 5 fraksi (A, B,C,D dan E). Kesimpulan: Komponen kimiawi ekstrak Metanol Daun Ceguk secara preparativetipis lapisan kromatografi didapatkan dalam ekstrak metanoldengan eluen heksana: Etil asetat(9: 1), (8: 2) dan (7: 3) masing-masing 5 noda. Dalam ekstrak n-heksana dengan eluen heksana:Etil asetat (9: 1), (8: 2) dan (7: 3), masing-masing 4 noda, 2 noda dan 1 noda. PadaKromatografi Lapis Tipis Preparatif diperoleh 5 fraksi yang merupakan pewarnaan tunggalsetelah Kromatografi Lapis Tipis Dua Dimensi.
