Abstract

The Bunda BISA Program, organized by Yatim Mandiri Mojokerto, aims to enhance the skills and economic independence of widowed mothers who have lost their primary source of income. This program employs the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) method to develop business skills rooted in community assets. The assistance provided includes training in production skills, marketing, business management, and access to capital. The results of the program demonstrate a significant increase in the participants' entrepreneurial skills, understanding of marketing strategies, and self-confidence. Furthermore, progress in product packaging and business legality has enabled them to expand their market reach. However, challenges remain in digital marketing and product legality that require further optimization. The success of this program serves as a potential model for the economic empowerment of women in other regions.

Abstract

The phenomenon of violence within Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) has become a serious concern in Islamic education. This community service project aimed to implement the concept of school well-being to prevent violence against students (santri), particularly at Hidayatut Thulab Islamic Boarding School, Petok Mojo, Kediri Regency. Using the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method, the program included several stages such as problem identification, training for boarding school administrators, psychological and clinical mentoring, as well as evaluation and monitoring. The training focused on six dimensions of psychological well-being as defined by Ryff: autonomy, environmental mastery, personal growth, positive relations with others, self-acceptance, and purpose in life. The results from questionnaire distribution indicated that most students demonstrated a positive level of psychological well-being, reflecting the success of the mentoring program in creating a safe, inclusive, and mentally supportive learning environment. This activity also encouraged a cultural transformation within the pesantren toward a more humane and responsive approach to students' developmental needs.

Abstract

Empowering Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) is a strategic step in sustainably improving the village economy. This article discusses a training program titled "Branding Assistance and Offline and Digital Promotion of MSMEs in Mejono Village," held in Mejono Village, Kediri Regency. This activity aims to improve the understanding and skills of MSMEs in building brand identities and marketing products through social media and digital platforms such as marketplaces. The methods used included educational counseling, interactive discussions, and technical demonstrations on how to sell on Shopee and Facebook, from creating accounts, taking product photos, writing descriptions, to determining selling prices. This activity presented competent speakers in the fields of digital marketing and e-commerce, and involved local MSMEs as the main participants. The results of the activity showed an increase in participants' awareness of the importance of branding in differentiating products, as well as how digital promotion can expand market reach without the need for a physical store. Participants also gained an initial understanding of digital marketing communications based on the Attention, Interest, Desire, and Action approach (AIDA). This program is expected to be an inspiration for other villages in developing the potential of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises through the use of digital technology.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology demands mastery of educational content creation skills for Madrasah Aliyah (Islamic Senior High School) students in the Industry 4.0 era. Initial observations at MA Salafiyah Simbangkulon indicated limitations among students in this regard. This community service activity aimed to enhance students' understanding and practical skills in using Canva and CapCut applications to create engaging and innovative educational content. This activity was implemented through a workshop using presentation, practicum, and discussion methods, involving 40 grade 10 students of MA Salafiyah Simbangkulon. The success of the activity was measured by comparing pre-test and post-test results. The results showed a significant improvement in students' conceptual understanding and practical skills in Canva and CapCut. This was evidenced by an average score increase of 68% on the post-test compared to the pre-test. Furthermore, students successfully created sample educational content using both applications. Based on these results, it is recommended that advanced training and integration of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) utilization in the madrasah curriculum are needed to support a more creative, participatory, and relevant learning process in line with contemporary demands.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are the backbone of Indonesia’s economy; however, many entrepreneurs still face obstacles in expanding their markets due to limited use of digital technology. A similar condition is found in Manyar Village, Sekaran Subdistrict, Lamongan Regency, where most MSME actors are housewives who rely on traditional marketing methods. This community service empowers family economies through digital marketing as a market expansion strategy. The objective is to improve digital literacy, branding capacity, and the ability to use e-commerce platforms among MSMEs so that they can expand their market access sustainably. The method employed was Participatory Action Research (PAR), which included problem identification, participatory planning, collective action, reflection, evaluation, and program sustainability monitoring. The program was carried out over one month, involving village officials, strategic partners (PT. Graha Rejeki Indonesia Kopi Giras and PT. Emer Inovasi Teknologi Cogan), and the active participation of local MSMEs. The results indicate that most participants successfully created marketplace accounts (Shopee and TikTok Shop), uploaded products with optimised descriptions and more professional photos, and began understanding the importance of branding and consistency in digital marketing. Moreover, the program increased the confidence of women entrepreneurs to market their products online while fostering the formation of a digital MSME community in Manyar Village. Therefore, this program enhanced digital skills, strengthened family economies, and established a village-based digital MSME ecosystem.

Abstract

This community service program aims to integrate customary law and Islamic law into the learning system at the Al Falah Jeblog Talun Blitar Islamic Boarding School. The method used is Participatory Action Research (PAR) with the active involvement of boarding school administrators, students, alumni, and the surrounding community in every stage of the activity. The results of the community service show several important achievements, including the formation of an integrative curriculum based on customary and Islamic law, increased understanding and capacity of students and administrators, and strengthening the character of students who not only obey the sharia but also respect local culture. In addition, collaboration between the boarding school, the community, and alumni has become closer through discussion forums and training. Despite challenges such as differences in normative perspectives and limited resources, this integration provides a significant opportunity to strengthen local identity and the relevance of boarding schools in the modern era. This program also contributes to strengthening legal literacy, establishing networks between religious and customary institutions, and generating policy recommendations that support the sustainability of the local wisdom-based education model. Thus, the integration of customary law and Islamic law can make boarding schools centers of Islamic education in the archipelago that are adaptive, contextual, and have a global perspective.

Abstract

This community service program aims to foster a sense of responsibility, caution, and concern for personal and public safety among elementary school students. Furthermore, the program is expected to serve as a traffic education model that can be sustainably implemented in schools with the support of teachers, parents, and the community. The implementation employed the Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) approach, consisting of the stages of Discovery, Dream, Design, and Destiny. The Discovery stage involved identifying school assets and students’ initial understanding of traffic rules. In the Dream stage, teachers and students collaboratively formulated a vision of a traffic-friendly school. The Design stage produced training modules and interactive activities such as simulations, helmet-wearing practice, traffic sign recognition, and educational games. Finally, the Destiny stage was realized through participatory training at SD Negeri 02 Cepogo, followed by evaluation and the development of a traffic safety handbook to ensure program sustainability. The results showed significant improvements in students’ knowledge and skills in recognizing traffic signs, practicing proper riding ethics, and applying safety measures such as helmet use and appropriate riding capacity. The program also received strong enthusiasm from students, teachers, and parents, which further supports its sustainability. Thus, this community service program not only enhances traffic safety awareness among students but also has the potential to become a replicable traffic education model for other elementary schools and madrasah.

Abstract

Character education for elementary school children is a crucial aspect because elementary school age is included in the golden age, where children have a high ability to absorb life values such as honesty, discipline, responsibility, empathy, and tolerance. Families, especially parents, serve as the first teachers and role models in children's character education, so parental example and interactions at home greatly influence the formation of a child's personality. Although schools also play a crucial role through curriculum and habituation activities, the synergy between schools and parents is often still not optimal, especially in the digital era that brings additional challenges such as the influence of technology and busy parents. This community service uses a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach to explore and improve the practice of socializing value education and the role of parents in character formation of elementary school students. The community service is implemented in several action cycles that include identification of problems and needs, action planning, action implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and follow-up. Data collection was carried out through questionnaires, interviews, direct observation, and activity documentation, involving key stakeholders: teachers, parents, students, and the school. This activity demonstrates that ongoing character education outreach can increase parental awareness and responsibility in educating children at home. Parents who participated in the training and outreach modules demonstrated changes in parenting patterns, increased consistency in instilling character values at home, and more open communication with the school. However, barriers such as limited time, parental educational background, and environmental and digital technology influences still need to be addressed to ensure more equitable and sustainable character change in children. The conclusion of this community service program states that early childhood character education can be more effective when implemented collaboratively between schools and parents, using a flexible and contextual approach. For sustainability, it is recommended that parent outreach and empowerment activities be conducted routinely, using materials that are relevant and adaptive to family circumstances, and that regular monitoring and evaluation be conducted. This community service program is expected to provide a foundation for more synergistic and long-term character education policies and practices.

Abstract

The Community Service Program (PKM) entitled “Scientific Writing Training for Students: Introduction to Mendeley Management and the Writing of Title, Authorship, Abstract, Keyword, and References” was conducted at Sekolah Tinggi Agama Islam (STAI) Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara, on August 15, 2025. The objectives of this program were: (1) to strengthen students’ competence in using Mendeley for reference and citation management according to academic standards; (2) to equip students with practical skills in developing effective titles, communicative abstracts, relevant keywords, and consistent ethical references, including a clear understanding of authorship; and (3) to foster a productive academic culture through the development of a sustainable tradition of scientific writing among students. A participatory-collaborative approach was employed to encourage active interaction between facilitators and students in every stage of the program—planning, implementation, and evaluation. The one-day training was organized into four main sessions: orientation, technical training, mentoring, and evaluation. Data were collected through interviews to assess improvements in participants’ understanding and skills. The results indicated a significant enhancement in students’ ability to manage references, structure academic papers, and apply academic writing ethics. Students also demonstrated increased awareness of plagiarism prevention and initiated peer mentoring activities to sustain the academic writing culture. This PKM successfully strengthened students’ digital literacy and academic integrity as a foundation for cultivating a strong scientific tradition in higher education.
