Abstract

Psychological coaching and Islamic religious education represent one form of community service motivated by several issues occurring at the Al Fatimah Foundation in Bojonegoro. These issues include behavioral deviations among female students (santri), such as lying, using inappropriate (negative) language, leaving the boarding school without permission, and violating the established rules and norms. Ideally, an Islamic boarding school (pesantren) is a place where individuals reside to deepen their knowledge of religion and other disciplines. However, in reality, behavioral deviations have been observed that negatively impact both the psychological and spiritual well-being of the students. This community service activity was carried out at the Al Fatimah Islamic Boarding School Foundation, involving 36 participants who are female teachers (ustadzah) from various educational levels: RA (Kindergarten), MI Plus (Elementary), SMA Plus (High School), and Madin Unggulan (Islamic Supplementary School). The method employed was the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach, which focuses on developing the existing potential of the institution. The first focus of the activity was psychological clinical coaching, aimed at equipping the teachers with preventive strategies and psychological understanding of the positive and negative impacts of students’ behaviors. The second focus centered on Islamic religious education, offering a comprehensive explanation from the perspective of Islamic teachings and law regarding the consequences of deviant behavior. The results of the mentoring program showed that 85% of the psychological and Islamic education coaching was understood and could be effectively applied by the participants to guide adolescent students, particularly at the Al Fatimah Islamic Boarding School Foundation in Bojonegoro.

Abstract

Education is a crucial process for forming understanding, maturity and critical thinking abilities in humans. In Indonesia, education is divided into three main channels: formal, non-formal and informal. Informal education, provided in the family environment before school, is an important basis. Non-formal education, such as the Al-Qur'an Education Park (TPQ), functions to complement and deepen formal education with an emphasis on developing students' potential and knowledge. TPQ plays an important role in instilling religious values ​​from an early age through teaching the Koran and religious materials. To increase the effectiveness of learning at TPQ, structured teaching modules are needed, which facilitate teaching and learning and ensure consistency and quality. Teaching modules function as a guide that organizes learning objectives, materials, activities and assessments, and can be adapted to student needs and available resources. This research involves creating teaching modules for TPQ Nurul Huda in Prayungan Hamlet, with a focus on preparing material that is practical and easy for children to understand. Activities begin with situation analysis, coordination with related parties, printing of modules, outreach to parents and teachers, and evaluation of module use. This program aims to improve the quality of religious learning, encourage parental involvement, and motivate children to learn. The results show an increase in children's interest and enthusiasm as well as positive support from parents, with the hope that this teaching module can become an effective reference for religious education in the future.

Abstract

This service aims to reveal the tree planting movement with the Gugur Gunung system in order to care for the environment and social community in Koripan 1 Dlingo Bantul Yogyakarta. The service providers used participatory methods by emphasizing the full involvement of the community and service providers in the activity program. The service results showed that tree planting was carried out in two places, namely in Sendang Kali Deso by planting fruit trees and at the Situs Petilasan Gunung Pasar by planting ornamental trees. This program was carried out by all elements of the community with three stages of activities, namely formal opening, symbolic handover of tree seedlings by relevant figures and stakeholders, and finally the implementation of planting at the service location. With the implementation of a program based on the Gugur Gunung system, the community and community servants believe that this activity has many functions and benefits for themselves, their social life, and future generations of the community.

Abstract

This Community Service (PkM) project is based on the low effectiveness of zakat, infaq, and sadaqah (ZIS) fund management by LAZISNU (Nahdlatul Ulama’s Zakat Institution) in Wonorejo Village, Kunjang District, Kediri Regency. Despite the significant ZIS potential, its management had not been optimized productively. The PkM aimed to strengthen institutional capacity and enhance mustahik empowerment programs through a participatory approach. Methods included field observation, interviews, training on Islamic microenterprise management, program planning assistance, and collaborative evaluation with partners. The results showed improved understanding among LAZISNU administrators regarding productive zakat and the development of locally-based empowerment initiatives. Several mustahik also started microenterprises with guidance from the PkM team. The discussion highlights the importance of synergy between LAZISNU, the community, and academia in building a strategic and sustainable zakat management system. This PkM demonstrates that optimizing LAZISNU’s role contributes not only to economic improvement but also to spiritual awareness and social independence among mustahik.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to examine the role of a dhikr group in strengthening spiritual aspects and fostering social care among former thugs in Keputih Village, Sukolilo, Surabaya. Using a qualitative approach with a case study method, this research finds that the practice of Huwal Habib group dhikr, led by a local religious figure, is capable of shaping spiritual awareness and social solidarity among individuals with troubled pasts. The dhikr serves as a means of introspection, heart purification, and drawing closer to Allah SWT. On the other hand, this activity also gives rise to tangible social care in the form of community service, assistance to others, and community development activities. The results of this study demonstrate that a collectively implemented spiritual approach can reconstruct social identity and form an inclusive and transformative community.

Abstract

Preserving oral literature allows a deeper understanding of the relationship between communities and their natural environment. Through stories and traditions, Indigenous knowledge about land, ecosystems, and sustainable practices is passed down, offering a holistic perspective rooted in environmental harmony. Oral literature also connects past and present, fostering identity and continuity across generations. Unfortunately, oral literature is often marginalized and forgotten by younger generations, placing it at risk of extinction. Yet it holds important cultural, historical, and social values that shape community ideologies. Without proper attention, the loss of these ancient stories could erode the moral and cultural foundations of societies like those in Bangka Belitung. To address this, a community engagement program will be implemented in Pelepak Pute Village, Belitung Island, aimed at protecting local oral literature. Activities will be conducted in four stages: preparation (coordination and initial survey), socialization (public outreach through lectures and discussions), training and mentoring (on oral literature preservation), and evaluation (to assess outcomes and determine follow-up steps). Expected outcomes include publication in national journals or proceedings, local media coverage (e.g., Bangka Pos), and increased knowledge and skills among village residents. This initiative represents a crucial step in preserving the intangible cultural heritage of Bangka Belitung and ensuring its transmission to future generations.

Abstract

Nurul Furqon Islamic Boarding School located in Tomia, Wakatobi Regency, Southeast Sulawesi, has great potential in developing the economic independence of students through entrepreneurial activities. However, the main challenge faced is the lack of understanding and skills in marketing and financial management. This Community Service Activity aims to provide training and assistance in managing business finances and product marketing strategies, in order to increase the capacity of students in managing businesses independently and sustainably. The methods used are interactive training, field practice, and intensive assistance in preparing financial reports and utilizing digital media for marketing. The results of the activity show that students and boarding school managers are starting to be able to prepare simple financial reports such as cash books, profit and loss reports, and other transaction records. On the marketing side, they are starting to utilize social media, brochures, and other digital promotional media to expand market reach. This program has a positive impact in fostering an entrepreneurial spirit and increasing the economic independence of Nurul Furqon Islamic Boarding School.

Abstract

The acceleration of digital transformation has led to a communication gap between parents and teenagers (Generation Z), particularly in the community of Tanjung Dayang Selatan Village, Ogan Ilir District. Parents' lack of understanding of Islamic-based parenting in the digital age poses a challenge in nurturing children's moral character. This community service initiative aims to enhance parents'—particularly local mothers'—capacity to manage effective and Islamic-values-based communication with their teenage children. The activities are based on the theory of Islamic family communication and the approach of da'wah bil hikmah. The methods employed include participatory seminars, case study discussions, and interactive question-and-answer sessions over two days. The material is structured around three focuses: the concept of Islamic communication, critical and responsible guidance on digital media use, and the development of empathetic dialogue between parents and children. Pre-post evaluation results show significant improvements in participants' knowledge (+38%), attitudes (+31%), and skills (+27%). Additionally, a ‘Digital Islamic Parenting’ community has been formed as a platform for ongoing learning. These findings indicate that integrating Islamic communication into an educational-participatory approach can strengthen the resilience of Muslim families in facing the challenges of the digital age.

Abstract

Business legality assistance is a strategic step to enhance the competitiveness and sustainability of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (UMKM), especially in rural areas. This service is carried out in Jombangan Santren Hamlet, Tertek Village, Pare District, Kediri Regency, with the aim of providing understanding and technical assistance to UMKM actors regarding the importance of business legality and the process of registering for a Business Identification Number (NIB) through the Online Single Submission (OSS) application. This activity uses a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach that emphasizes the active participation of the community in all stages, from problem identification, planning, implementation, to evaluation. The results of the implementation show an increased awareness among UMKM players regarding the importance of business legality, marked by active participation in the socialization process and the success of registering businesses through OSS. This program also has an impact on increasing collaboration among MSME players and optimizing the use of digital technology. These findings reinforce the importance of a participatory mentoring model as an instrument for community economic empowerment based on legality.

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to empower local communities in rural areas through digital marketing training tailored for small business actors and community leaders. Implemented in Karangnongko Village, the program adopted a participatory and practice-based training model. The materials covered content creation, branding, and social media marketing strategies using platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and WhatsApp Business. The results showed improved digital literacy, increased participant awareness of online marketing strategies, and the establishment of practical skills to independently promote local products and tourism. This initiative demonstrates the potential of localized digital training as a model for inclusive digital transformation. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan memberdayakan masyarakat pedesaan melalui pelatihan digital marketing yang ditujukan kepada pelaku UMKM dan tokoh masyarakat. Program dilaksanakan di Desa Karangnongko dengan pendekatan partisipatif dan berbasis praktik. Materi mencakup pembuatan konten, branding, dan strategi pemasaran melalui media sosial seperti TikTok, Instagram, dan WhatsApp Business. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan literasi digital peserta, kesadaran terhadap strategi pemasaran daring, serta keterampilan praktis dalam mempromosikan produk dan wisata lokal secara mandiri. Inisiatif ini membuktikan efektivitas pelatihan digital berbasis komunitas dalam mendukung transformasi digital yang inklusif.
