Abstract

This community service project was motivated by the increasing misuse of illegal online lending among youth in Kedungwaru, Tulungagung, driven by low literacy in sharia economic law and limited digital risk awareness. The program focused on strengthening sharia economic legal literacy related to illegal fintech for local youth organizations, which play a strategic role in preventing financial misconduct among young people. The primary objective was to enhance participants’ understanding of illegal online loan characteristics, sharia principles in financial transactions, and digital risk mitigation strategies. The project employed an educational-participatory approach through Focus Group Discussions (FGDs), interactive lectures, case demonstrations, and comprehension assessments. Data were collected through observation, questionnaires, and limited interviews. The results indicate a significant improvement in participants’ understanding of fintech legality, the concepts of riba and gharar within illegal lending practices, and their ability to identify fraudulent loan applications. Participants also demonstrated readiness to act as educational agents within their respective youth communities.

Abstract

The development of digital technology is driving changes in marketing strategies in the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) sector. However, many MSME actors have not yet optimally utilized digital media, especially in product marketing. KKN aims to describe the process and impact of MSME marketing digitalization of crackers through the use of social media and e-commerce platforms at the Lima Saudara cracker production house. The method used is a participatory approach with stages of observation, visual identity design, digital marketing implementation, and evaluation. The results of the activity show an increase in the understanding of MSME actors regarding digital marketing, the formation of brand identities in the form of logo and banners, as well as the opening of wider market access through social media and e-commerce. Marketing digitalization has proven to be an effective strategy in sustainably enhancing the competitiveness of MSME crackers.

Abstract

The imbalance in understanding regarding women's religious authority and its relevance in contemporary Islamic law remains a challenge in academic circles. A space for dialectics is needed to bridge theoretical and practical perspectives globally in order to strengthen women's intellectual position. This activity aims to optimize the academic community's understanding of women's strategic role in religious authority and the strengthening of Islamic law through collaboration between Indonesian legal clinicians and Singaporean academics. The strategy used is a public education method through an International Virtual Seminar (Webinar). The implementation stages included cross-border technical preparations, dissemination of materials by experts, and interactive problem-based discussion sessions. This activity successfully involved 91 participants consisting of lecturers, teachers, and students. Evaluation results through participatory observation in digital spaces (Zoom and WhatsApp Group) showed high enthusiasm with responsive discussions. The majority of participants (100%) stated that they had gained a comprehensive new understanding of women's religious authority from the perspective of Islamic law in Indonesia and Singapore. This community service program succeeded in creating international academic synergy that strengthens contemporary legal literacy and provides intellectual legitimacy for women's roles in the public sphere and religious authority.
