Abstract

The essence of communication is a process of sharing information, thoughts, and feelings between people through conversation, writing, or body language. Interpersonal communication aims to create a common perception, change behavior and obtain information. It is essential to study communication media to deal with conflict. Humans, as social beings, cannot be separated from their social function. This is in line with Maslow's third-order theory, namely the social need to be loved and cared for. It is impossible if socialization is done without communication. Along with the sophistication of technology, to be able to change face-to-face communication into mediated communication. Whatsapp is one of the virtual communication media. The WhatsApp communication media utilization program is a communication medium that has been massively used but has yet to be optimally used for the benefit of LK 4 Bangun Rejo, Sindang Sari Village, Lampung. The purpose of the WhatsApp communication media utilization program is for participants to use WhatsApp communication media and to increase cooperation in LK 4 Bangun Rejo, Sindang Sari Village, Lampung. In the end, this activity is expected to make the team dedicated to the community's needs and have a social-human spirit according to information and communication technology development.

Abstract

Based on the pre-survey that has been carried out in the field, it is known that IKM TS Aluminum has not used financial reports that are by the Financial Accounting Standards for Micro, Small, and Medium Entities (SAK-EMKM) because they are still experiencing problems in managing and compiling financial reports. The financial information management at IKM TS Aluminum still uses the manual method, and the reporting is still internal (according to the owner's interests). With financial management that is still manual and the reporting needs to be by economic standards, this is the problem in this service. From the results of the survey, servants are encouraged to conduct socialization and training on understanding and knowledge of how to make financial reports based on financial standards, as well as the hope that partners as EMKM understand and know about the proper and correct implementation of creating financial reports according to SAK EMKM. Based on the pre-test results, most partners still need to understand the preparation of financial statements by SAK EMKM in the form of financial position, income statements, cash flow statements, and reports of changes in capital. After the socialization and training of partners, the post-test results showed that the partners understood and understood the preparation of financial statements by SAK EMKM in the form of financial position, cash flow statements, income statements, and reports of changes in capital.

Abstract

The importance of developing students' skills, including English skills was realized by the teachers of TK Al-Aqobah II, but they experienced problems when trying to introduce the vocabulary to students. The writer offered training regarding the use of flashcards to introduce vocabulary to the students of kindergarten. The following were the steps: first, the writer made preparations regarding the training; next, the writer gave a pre-test; based on the results of the pre-test, the writer delivered the training; finally, the writer gave the post-test. The results showed that the teachers understood the benefits of flashcards and they had the capabilities to use these flashcards in order to introduce vocabulary to the students with a mastery level of 80%. A slight obstacle faced by the teachers was the educational background of the teachers who were not from English Education. These obstacles can be overcome with training and mentoring conducted by the writer.

Abstract

Disposable diaper waste takes hundreds of years to decompose and cause environmental pollution if disposed of directly into landfills or rivers. Therefore, innovation in the processing of disposable diaper waste and increasing public awareness for the processing of disposable diaper waste at the household level are needed. The purpose of this community service is to provide counseling and training to members of the Aisyiyah Branch (PCA) Gamping, Yogyakarta in managing disposable diaper waste into planting media. This activity was attended by 15 people from the board and members of PCA Gamping as well as local community leaders. The result of this community service activity is that there is an increase in the knowledge and skills of participants in processing disposable diaper waste into planting media. Through this activity, it is hoped that it will be useful to help reduce environmental pollution due to disposable diaper waste.

Abstract

Stunting is one of the indicators of chronic malnutrition that occurs due to deficiency of nutrient intake or infectious diseases that occur in a long period of time. Iron affects the hemoglobin levels of adolescents who are growing and the increased need for iron caused by the menstrual process. Giving Blood Add Tablets to prospective brides, pregnant women and young women is a joint effort between the government and the community to prevent stunting. This community service activity was carried out through four stages, namely socialization of activities to teachers and students, distributing questionnaires before and after the activity to measure the level of knowledge and attitudes of students, providing health education and finally giving blood tablets and involving teachers as program evaluators. The results of community service activities were 28 people (78%), female respondents aged 16 years (78%), female sex as many as 36 people (100%), the level of knowledge before being given counseling the majority were in the less category as many as 24 people (67%) and after being given counseling some Majority in the good category as many as 17 people (47%), adolescent attitudes in preventing anemia before being given counseling were mostly in the less category as many as 18 people (50%) and after being given counseling mostly in the good category as many as 24 people (67%). It is suggested to the school to form a monitoring team for taking medication from the peer group as an effort to monitor students in taking medication regularly. Abstract

The healty lifestyle is a habits that needs to be used as a principle of life by every people to improving the life quality especially for the health sector. The good comprehension of health can help every people for stunting prevention. Stunting is a kind of disease that caused by the poor nutrition of meals for the children for their growing period. By the community service program of public education of high nutrition food for the parents to increase the nutrition grade for these children is expected to prevent the potential for stunting in these children. In addition, this community service program give the new experience for the community to utilize the ingridients food to create the high nutrition food with low price and can produce in every household. Babanas and corn are abundantly available in Manleten Village and always consumed by the conventional processing can be produced to be a new variant of food that can be a new food reference

Abstract

The case of covid-19 that occurred in Indonesia spread widely throughout the community, WHO has declared covid-19 as a world pandemic. The government continues to urge all components of society to work together in dealing with COVID-19. This service activity is carried out to educate the community, especially at the level of the community unit, by conducting socialization and distributing questionnaires to 30 residents who are in RW 03 Barusari Village. The purpose of community activities is to increase community participation in overcoming COVID-19 and see the level of community understanding. The results of distributing questionnaires on community service found that aspects of knowledge, perceptions, attitudes, community readiness, family support, support from community leaders, and good community behavior. So seeing this condition, it is hoped that the residents of RT 03 can help the government in preventing the spread of COVID-19. Abstract

The Mendeley application makes it very easy for authors to cite reference sources and write a bibliography accurately and quickly according to the specified bibliography style. This service activity trains students to use the Mendeley application for scientific paper writing. This service was conducted at Medical College of Health (STIKES) West Seramoe. The target group of this service are students. The selection of this service point was based on the results of interviews with students from STIKES Medika West Seramoe, most of whom compiled a bibliography manually. The method of conducting community service is carried out in the phases of (1) preparing for community service activities and (2) conducting community service activities. Learning and practicing this service involves the following steps: (1) Installing the Mendeley application; (2) operate Mendeley; (3) add references; (4) Add reference files automatically; (5) perform citations; and (6) compiling a bibliography. The results of conducting for this service allow the conclusion that students can operate the Mendeley application well. Mendeley operations helps students with citation/quotes by using Mendeley correctly in scientific reports.

Abstract

Mathematics learning is often complained of by most high school teachers because it is not able to attract students' interest. This can be overcome by applying mathematical software so that it has a positive impact and increases student interest in learning. For this reason, Community Service Activities are carried out in the form of "Interactive Learning for High School Mathematics Using GeoGebra" for MGMP Mathematics at SMA Negeri Cimahi. The purpose of this is to increase the knowledge and skills training of SMA Cimahi teachers in delivering mathematics subject matter using GeoGebra. This training was attended by 30 teachers who are members of the Mathematics MGMP of SMA Cimahi. The training is carried out face-to-face in several Cimahi Public High Schools alternately for 40 hours with a duration of five weeks. The results of this training show the topic "Algebraic Equations and Graphs of Functions", all participants are very familiar with the use of Geogebra. On the topic of “Integral”, almost all participants are very good at using Geogebra and only a few participants are less proficient. On the topic “Boundary Concepts. Concept of Derivation, Concept of Rieman's Sum, and Transformation, most of the participants were very mastered, there were some participants who mastered it and only a small part who still lacked it. Thus, this training has increased the competence of the trainee mathematics teachers in operating the GeoGebra software in learning mathematics. This really supports them in learning mathematics in the class they teach so that their students are enthusiastic.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic gives a big impact on the economy of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs), one of them is Berkah DY which is located in the sub-district of Cijoho, Kuningan Regency, West Java. With the Community Development project organized by Universitas Prasetiya Mulya, it was hoped that it can increase the market sales of Berkah DY during the pandemic. The used method is education and training about the adoption of technology in three aspects, i.e marketing, operational, and finance. The target of this activity was to maximize the efficiency of online marketing through e-commerce; produce a product that has a long shelf life; do financial records rapidly, accurately, and automatically. The results of this activity showed that there was an overall increase in market sales of 163,94%. With this program, the partner has the knowledge and insights about the benefits of technology in doing business during the COVID-19 pandemic.
